my teacher had me learn all major and minor scales in 3 octaves a few years ago. it took a long time to remember them all, but it was definitely worth it
Love this video!! This is just what I need to stay on task and finally master the major scales. My main problem is memorizing them, I also get hung up on the correct fingering and shifting but from now on I'll just use your suggestions. Again thank you. 🙂
So happy to help! I work on these scales with all my students and thought it is a nice way to have these scales to be organized this way. All the best and happy New Year!
Could you please make a 3 octave, and 4 octave scale video? Thanks for doing this! It is much easier playing with you than just myself with the metronome! :)
@@Cellopedia Now I am playing the allemande from Bach Suite 1, I don't have a teacher who can help me as much as you, but still, every day I try to play cello, slow but steady! I appreciate that you have taken the time to create this channel for all those who need a good teacher with good study methods for their students, thank you😁
besides that its an amazing video and incredibly helpful! the thumbnail is just so serious 😅, sorry realized I made it sound like I don't like this video lol
My dog who was asleep right next to me woke up when you started playing, he howls when I practice my violin but no howling here, maybe I should take up the cello! ☺️👍🏻
I believe that movable-do system is good for vocalists since they often transpose music depending on their individual range. For string players it works the best to have fixed do.
i had a hard time to remember the sequence, any suggestions? doesn't seem to follow the number of sharps and flats or circle of 5th wheel either... would you also kindly consider to demonstrate galamian system and fingering patterns? i found the sequence in that book is even more confusing...:(
Honestly, my only suggestion would be to give it more time. You would need to play these scales many times over and over to muster them. I have no doubt you will have no problem memorizing them. I will try to find time recording Galamian method.

You are welcome! Which scales you are working on?

Oh wow! I should make special videos for dogs!
May I ask a question? When learning scales, shall I remember those sound by Movable-do or Fixed do?
