How to make a DIY electric broomstick guitar

- In this video I am making a minimalistic one string guitar from a broomstick and lipstick telecaster guitar pickup. This guitar is played with a bottleneck slide. It is inspired from the early blues roots days!

Great job Dimitris, and really entertaining vid. An old pal of mine and I made a diddly bow a few years ago. All you need, honestly, is a bit of wood, a couple of screws, a guitar string and some kind of resonator like a glass bottle or a can. Start with that and work your way up to something like this.
Only need a few things to get started on woodworking. A hand saw of some sort, a chisel set, a hand planer, and some sandpaper. All the fancy power tools exist to make it easier, but people built instruments a thousand years ago and never once plugged in a power tool.
First makers of these type of instruments did not have any of these equipments.

Whats the name of the song that you use in all of your videos? It sounds like a jazz standard of sorts, but I can't seem to find the name of it. I feel like I've heard it before somewhere and it's been on the tip of my tongue for weeks now.

Wouldnt it make more sense to build it like a regular fretless, and use a piezo instead of a pickup? It would be cheaper and you wouldnt have to use the bottleneck slide
