You forget that the money recouped is calculated from the artists points for the album. Standard points are .15. The label spent 4 million producing that album. At $10 wholesale Ma$e would be $2.5 million in artist debt even though the album made $40 million in revenue.
Long story short: Mase made puff a hell of a lot of money but by technicality he also owes money due to artist debt. Diddy is manipulative and petty with his portrayal of the situation here.
Plus mase wrote a couple of big bangers for bad boy... atleast one of which was for biggie.
