I think you are right that the classic smiling Superman coming would go better with a Superfriends display, rather than in the Justice League. I was thinking of putting his head on the Action Comics 1000 body from the Atomic Skull 2 pack, since the Page Punchers body doesn't have the classic belt and boots.

What I want for JLA team is the figures to scale correctly. It’s beyond annoying how Martian Manhunter should be the tallest but isn’t..that’s just an example, so many are not height correct throughout the entire line. It’s not difficult so it’s baffling why its so inaccurate. Just the usual gripe most have with the Toddy Mac DC figures. I think Green Arrow is the most deserving of his classic look, the Green Lantern has an alien ring so his suit looking as it does is fine & kinda cool..for awhile at least. And I could NEVER locate that Flash figure..not going to pay a crazy price so I will just say he’s on vacation or was killed by a boomerang. 😆
You have a lot of the same choices I made for a JL set (which was completed today when my Classic Wonder Woman arrived). I have the Hush Superman until the new version drops from McFarlane. I will do a mash-up between those two because I like the size of the Hush better, but the head on the new one more. I also opted for the straight Endless Winter Aquaman because I prefer the long hair and beard look better. I do have a cloth wired cape for Supes, but I'm waiting to see which version I settle on. I'm waiting on a Batman cape, and I think I like your cloth cape on J'onn J'onzz, too. I may have to follow your lead there.
I found Martian Man Hunter Gold Label two weeks ago the figure is 50 bucks but I got a discount and it cost me 25. I want Jordan but I already have the Dawn Breaker. I love the regular Firestorm but the Platinum its my favorite. Another good Superman is the new 52.
