Hello everyone! Hope you all enjoyed my Arlecchino battle theme! This theme is one of my more aggressive one and I’m very happy on how it turned out, and I hope you do too! I read the comments from my previous Fatui fanmade themes and I noticed that several people say that my fanmade themes lack a bit if adrenaline rush as the tempo of the song is lower than the usual Fatui boss themes that are official from Hoyo. So what I did was raising the tempo of the song to have that adrenaline rush feel and just overall felt more fast paced since Genshin has quite a fast paced combat style as well as experimental sounds. So I hope you enjoyed what I came up with! As for the composition, I used a lot of experimental sounds such as the percussion that sounded more like an SFX and felt more inhuman (that’s the idea I’m going for). These inhuman like sounds are there to give the feeling of being in an unfamiliar territory and just overall terror. Arlecchino is a character that we haven’t met and based on Childe’s thoughts about her indicates that even her loyalty towards the Tsaritsa is questionable. I figured that this type of person is really dangerous as she will do anything that will benefit her. Right after the Fatui was heard, I transitioned the track to have a rock feeling to boost the adrenaline while also being accompanied with a downward playing of the strings as well as choir staccattos to further support the adrenaline and terror. As we arrive to the next section, a choir legato was heard and I composed that motif for Arlecchino, she oversaw an orphanage called House of the Hearth in Snezhnaya which then the orphanage indoctrinated the orphans into the Fatuis. The female legato choirs were to give a sense that Arlecchino is like a mother figure or something similat to that, for the orphans. However I wrote the melody with the intention to sound a bit haunting and dark since the orphans might not know that they will be indoctrinated to the Fatuis. So that’s my thought process on creating my own take of Arlecchino’s theme. After those sections are basically combining melodies and rhythms of the song to have diversity in the composition! So that’s like a simplified explanation of my thought process behind the composition, I don’t want to bore you too much with the little details hahah, as I’m really interested on how you interpret it as well! Overall that is my thought process behind this theme and I hope you all enjoyed as much as I did! I’m really proud of this one hahah, I hope you all have a good day and once again, enjoy!
You did an amazing job! I can definitely feel this uneasiness when the orphans figure out that their supposed "mother" is someone who wouldn't even hesitate to take their lives should they show any signs of betraying her or the Fatui. I think we received a bit of lore from Sumeru NPCs on how the orphans grow up and your composition fits the whole feeling extremely well! Thank you for your hard work! I'm especially delighted because Arlecchino is one of my favourites so far haha~ we stan creepy women.

I love how some of the harbinger's themes are somewhat playful and melancholic, but this theme is just pure anger and it doesn't have any music that conceal the truth, just authority and fear, it represents arlecchino well as a character

That opening with the clock bell-esque sound and the long, low notes in the background- almost like an old air raid siren- evoke this feeling of dread and terror. This is a woman who won't stop until every obstacle in her way is cleared. The Harbinger motif is mostly composed of shorter, sharper utterances rather than the continuous ones we hear in other Harbinger themes, highlighting Childe's belief that she's ultimately got an agenda, and is only loyal to the Tsaritsa as long as it benefits her. She herself is a mother of sorts, but her children are raised for battle, subterfuge, and cruelty. Does she love them at all? Or is she only out for herself? Who knows? But she's still a Harbinger in the end, with all the authority and power that commands, and the Harbinger theme comes back in full force at the end to remind us that this is a woman granted power and authority by the Tsaritsa, and she won't go down easily.

In the ranks of the Harbingers, we have a powerful mage who turned herself into a being of pure Pyro and was a student in Sumeru, then we have a homunculus prototype of the Raiden Shogun. In first place, we have a man from the age of Khaenri'ah. I'm really curious to know just how powerful these Harbingers can be.
Woahhh this is definitely a phase 3 theme- The perfect mix of originality and adrenaline! Gives me the vibes of Arlecchino waltzing around on a horse addressing her army of inquisitors and giving an inspiring speech about the Tsaritsa. And yet, you can clearly sense her scrutinizing gaze looking through the soldiers, ready to spot any weakness and hesitation so as to snuff the poor soul on the spot as an example. What steals the spotlight here is that her theme sounds both heroic and laced with an underlying strictness. She is clearly here to rally her army, almost like Capitano. But her children follow her out of fear instead of respect. But then the question we all ponder is if she truly wishes to be feared. The few emotional bits of her theme seem to suggest that she is capable of love and is capable of being loved, though it is repressed by her misguided sense of duty. She has raised the perfect supersoldiers and obviously has some attachment to them… Yet she finds it within her conscience to use them as disposable troops. What many consider atrocities she considers horrible necessities. Almost like Isabella from The Promised Neverland. WELL DONE!!!

@Betterthanyou A common theme in Snezhnaya (and the Fatui) is that they put duty over everything else first, making them appear cold and calculating, when the majority do actually care about others yet try to keep it frozen deep within. A good example of this is a Geochanter you face in the Jeht questline, where he mentions that he ultimately joined the Fatui to keep the rest of his family safe

undoubtedly the most accurate theme for her regarding the little crumbs of information we got about her and her personality. i hope the games theme will sound like this, or atleast something similar to this. underrated indeed, keep going.
I came to listen to this music with a negative thought of "Yeah, this guy is just some random wannabe composer and the theme not gonna fit her at all." but holy fuck not only that I was proven wrong but I also got dynamite kicked in the face by the fact how well this masterpiece fits her! It's like the artist stares into her eyes for 12 hours straight reading to what she had in mind, listen to her voice over and over again and somehow translate (I sure as shit this is one of the hardest part) those feeling into music. Amazing job for proving my skepticism wrong!
Its bombastic just like Childe's theme, unlike Sandrone's and Columbina's which has a sense of eeriness in their music. I am definitely convinced that she is the 10th harbinger. Petiton for Pantalone aka everyone's sugar daddy to be next.
Farabi, I'll be honest, your covers are one of the reasons I can't say goodbye to this game. I kept expecting that the plot would begin to become more serious, that the degree of darkness would increase, but it does not happen. Much like others have said This represents the essence of Arlecchino's power. Not one of physical might or combat prowess, though I am certain she knows how to fight too, her power is that of sheer aura that commands your very soul to lose focus and give in. She indoctrinates children for a living, and while kids are gullible - I am more than sure she knows how to gaslight you into thinking You are the powerless one. It's just an assumption - But I think she'll be the type of character that doesn't have to lift a finger to defeat you - Her words and aura of confidence and pure MALICE will do it for her.
Arlecchino seems to be a character full of contradictions. She is a Harbinger, yet her loyalty does not lie with the Tsaritsa. She takes orphan children into the safe haven of the Hearth Fire orphanage, yet raises them to become Fatui soldiers. She is willing to make the choice to sacrifice her children in battle so long as victory is achieved, even if it does pain her to do so.
An interesting take on the Harbinger motif in this one. From what I read, she doesn't have a sense of loyalty to the Tsaritsa, as Childe says she would likely betray her in a heartbeat. She does run an orphanage, so I think she may be a kind of tough love matriarch. According to the character she is inspired by, sabotage may be part of her personality, so I expect her theme to contradict whatever Tsaritsa's theme is, or twisting the motif in an unusual way, sounding nothing like the harbinger theme yet still sounding like it.
Ahh that's a really great point, twisting the fatui motif a bit would sound cool.. missed opportunity hahah but thank you for giving your insight on this theme, hope you still enjoyed it!
This theme makes me think Arle’s boss fight will be more like a tense stealth off like Mr. Freeze’s boss fight in Arkham city. Imagine the boss taken place in like a maze and your goal is to find her before SHE finds you.
Damnnn this is an absolutely spicy one! Not much I can truly say here since it's once again an absolute banger and I am not that skilled yet! I could feel the rush here compared to your other harbinger themes and I absolutely loved the arrangement and production went for Arlecchino, truly did her justice. LOVED 2:22 btw, sub drop transition baby!
Ah yes... Arlecchino. She may be ranked 4th, but she's currently 1st for me in terms of who's my favorite Harbinger 😉. Though I'm amenable to change and Capitano is currently a very close 2nd place runner up and could very well be my new favorite. What a noble badass A lot less evil and insane than we thought huh? At this point, it's safe to assume Childe was just hearing Pulcinella's side of things and believed too much in rumors and didn't bother to check facts unfortunately. As for Wanderer... He was a Harbinger for a significant amount of time longer, so surely he'd know Arlecchino better than Tartaglia right? Apparently not. I think what he says is partially true, she indeed exerts control by being cordial and graceful, that's why Arlecchino seems so commanding with her presence and how she's able to remain so calm and unflapped. Lets her either maintain or take control of a situation, we've seen this. But there's no "insane side" to her, at least from what we can tell, but I'm pretty confident about that statement. I think Wanderer knows better than to trust rumors but this could very well be just classic Scaramouche popping through, being a little *censored* and talking crap about people with little care 😂. As vastly different as the in game and your themes for Arlecchino are, I actually think they could both be accurate takes in some way. Though maybe with stronger choir and an organ if you were to ever edit those in? I especially like the organ bit in Arlecchino's 1st phase with the trap like beats in the background. A lot less electronics than we expected, but as a descendant of Crimson Moon, is that so surprising? Khaenriah's given a ton of classical music vibes at this point. I think the beginning percussion in this theme and the bell sounds in the background are excellent, and 1:28-1:54 is my favorite part. I'd give this a 7/10

when ever you do pulcinella i honestly feel like his boss would be kinda like the theme for snez from the travail trailer not only because it shows him when it’s playing but also because he’s the mayor
this theme... why does it feel like it would fit some fallen angel boss fight in a realm similiar to raidens but its black, grey and dark red. And there could be 6 tall columns that would fall each quarter hp you deal to the boss. The bosses hp could be 6 something. It just has to be enough to split into 6 columns for them to fall down. And the fallen angel could have its face completely blacked out with maybe 1 eye sometimes appear but instead of it being a normal eye it would be like the weirdcore version yk, i feel like that would be kind of fitting. I really love this theme lol

I imagine Arrlechino having a fighting stile similar to Raven from honkai Impact 3rd, that is to say, using a bow and claws to fight at close range.

Not one of physical might or combat prowess, though I am certain she knows how to fight too, her power is that of sheer aura that commands your very soul to lose focus and give in.
She indoctrinates children for a living, and while kids are gullible - I am more than sure she knows how to gaslight you into thinking You are the powerless one.
It's just an assumption - But I think she'll be the type of character that doesn't have to lift a finger to defeat you - Her words and aura of confidence and pure MALICE will do it for her.

Okay but this is SO GOOD i could just go boss fighting just to hear it-
Arlecchino seems to be a character full of contradictions. She is a Harbinger, yet her loyalty does not lie with the Tsaritsa. She takes orphan children into the safe haven of the Hearth Fire orphanage, yet raises them to become Fatui soldiers. She is willing to make the choice to sacrifice her children in battle so long as victory is achieved, even if it does pain her to do so.
An interesting take on the Harbinger motif in this one. From what I read, she doesn't have a sense of loyalty to the Tsaritsa, as Childe says she would likely betray her in a heartbeat. She does run an orphanage, so I think she may be a kind of tough love matriarch. According to the character she is inspired by, sabotage may be part of her personality, so I expect her theme to contradict whatever Tsaritsa's theme is, or twisting the motif in an unusual way, sounding nothing like the harbinger theme yet still sounding like it.
Ahh that's a really great point, twisting the fatui motif a bit would sound cool.. missed opportunity hahah but thank you for giving your insight on this theme, hope you still enjoyed it!

I could feel the rush here compared to your other harbinger themes and I absolutely loved the arrangement and production went for Arlecchino, truly did her justice. Ah yes... Arlecchino. She may be ranked 4th, but she's currently 1st for me in terms of who's my favorite Harbinger 😉. Though I'm amenable to change and Capitano is currently a very close 2nd place runner up and could very well be my new favorite. What a noble badass
A lot less evil and insane than we thought huh? At this point, it's safe to assume Childe was just hearing Pulcinella's side of things and believed too much in rumors and didn't bother to check facts unfortunately. As for Wanderer... He was a Harbinger for a significant amount of time longer, so surely he'd know Arlecchino better than Tartaglia right? Apparently not. I think what he says is partially true, she indeed exerts control by being cordial and graceful, that's why Arlecchino seems so commanding with her presence and how she's able to remain so calm and unflapped. Lets her either maintain or take control of a situation, we've seen this. But there's no "insane side" to her, at least from what we can tell, but I'm pretty confident about that statement. I think Wanderer knows better than to trust rumors but this could very well be just classic Scaramouche popping through, being a little *censored* and talking crap about people with little care 😂.
As vastly different as the in game and your themes for Arlecchino are, I actually think they could both be accurate takes in some way. Though maybe with stronger choir and an organ if you were to ever edit those in? I especially like the organ bit in Arlecchino's 1st phase with the trap like beats in the background. A lot less electronics than we expected, but as a descendant of Crimson Moon, is that so surprising? Khaenriah's given a ton of classical music vibes at this point.
I think the beginning percussion in this theme and the bell sounds in the background are excellent, and 1:28-1:54 is my favorite part. I'd give this a 7/10
After knowing origins of the Magical Twins wouldn't it be crazy if Arlecchino pulls out the twins in her 2nd phase to assist her against the Traveler.
now THAT would be epic indeed. I hope Hoyo will pull of something like that in the future!

this theme... why does it feel like it would fit some fallen angel boss fight in a realm similiar to raidens but its black, grey and dark red. And there could be 6 tall columns that would fall each quarter hp you deal to the boss. The bosses hp could be 6 something. It just has to be enough to split into 6 columns for them to fall down. And the fallen angel could have its face completely blacked out with maybe 1 eye sometimes appear but instead of it being a normal eye it would be like the weirdcore version yk, i feel like that would be kind of fitting. I really love this theme lol
