Who me or the owner or Driver of the XB/XC, like i said a bloke who had a black XB and restored it from the ground up spent over 50K for her and then took it to Bathurst to see what she could do and got close to 2 Min 26 seconds which is not bad, but i dont know if the owner drove it or someone who has a lot of experience at bathurst ? But still what a wet fart really, he should have gave it to a real driver to see what she can do after all its australian Muscle car all its life on the back of a trainer or in a container so a show car with no balls whatsoever, yet it has the best of the best suspension running gear and brakes rear end and so on and so on ? ?

I chatted with him at the Detroit Autorama. He said the car sat in a cargo box on a cargo ship for 6 months before it finally arrived to the USA. Beautiful machine!!!
6 MONTHS!! It takes that long for a ship to sail from Australia to the USA??

That is a great looking car.
I remember a XB or XC Coupe which was a rebuild from the ground up every nut or bolt was new and everything on the car was new and it did bathurst as well and did a 2.26 i think from memory and the same car was featured in street machine and the same car got stolen as well a black buty really, shame it got stolen ? Over 50K was spent on the car as well ? Which i believe was around 1990 or maybe 1989, not sure 100% ?

I find it strange that in episode 2 of the XBOSS story that it was stated that it was a 5.4 Supercharged with a 6 speed manual. Now that it's on the road it's a 3 speed auto? WTF? There's a lot of credibility gone out the window as far as I'm concerned. Why would you take the 6 speed manual out and put a 3 speed Slushbox in it? Still got 2 working legs at the start of the video.
ADRIAN : Yeah, a change for sure. I'm a detail guy, a truckie who engineers, not a keyboard warrior...although I trucken wield a key board often. If you've ever used a 6 speed with all the parts integration that goes with it, you'll appreciate a great deal of effort Ford Australia made having both Autos and Manuals behind the Miamis and 5.4s as well. IMHO, I dont personally think the change is great, but hey, I remember one Bathurst Automatic Ford racing back in 1979 with the other Hardtops! Credibility, they are your words my friend. Cool to see you went a blown mod. And can believe all some numnut asks about skids on a car like this. Leave the skids for the $2000 comoodores with 24 inch rims and brush painted stock calipers.

Mt Panorama is 2 way traffic . There is a 60 kph speed limit , all the way around and 2 fixed speed cameras to catch wannabe Peter Brocks .

Absolutely a waste of time to watch. If the video wasn't advertised the way it it I wouldn't have had a problem. I would've been more than happy watching it and would have wanted way more minutes of video.
