I'm pretty sure the chant is 'Aroo, aroo, aroo!'; not 'Ahou'. This isn't my UA-cam account, it's my younger brothers, but I've participated in many Spartan races, & 'ahou' is a more negative synonym of 'baka' in the Japanese language. Baka means idiot. The whole aroo thing was for uniformity in a movie to try & make the Spartans look more bad ass & menacing. Spartans were known for being Laconic - i.e not talking a lot and only talking in short sentences that had deeper meaning. So they would certainly not waste their breath to shout something like in the 300 movie. Cheers.
