This dialogue embodies humanism. Our ancestors would be extremely proud of the evolution of conversation. Time for the next leg of the journey. 🪷🙏🏾
I'm telling you!!!!! Respect, that's what comes to mind. We need to give and ask for it. Just amazing. He's really something.
Charlemagne is underrated and not taken seriously. This brother is brilliant and well rounded.
Yep. Took a while to get here, but he did.
Agreed
100%
@@beverleyreid563you obviously haven't watched the Tasha K. interview with Jessica Reid. please watch that video.
@@SirAtticusJustice for Jessica Reid..
I’ve looooved to witness Charlamagne’s growth. Thanks for bringing him on the pod 🙏🏽🩷
Facts
Super fax!
Facts. I remember him back in Columbia. We share the same birthday and both from SC. And he donated $25K to my alumni South Carolina State University. This man has really grown
In my nutrition class, my teacher told us to talk to people instead of eating junk food at functions. She said, when you talk to people, ask them, "Are you happy?" I thought that was a brilliant question!
Instead of asking are you happy I ask on a scale of 1-10 how do you feel this week/month? It hits deeper cause now they gotta think about it.
This is so good 💗
But I think people are afraid to answer that question honestly.
Yeah but don't ask the question if you really don't care about the answer.
i loved the part about un-wasted time, everything has a purpose. Thanks Jay and Charlamagne
Same. When you frame it that way it's make me lookout for the positives in all events.
@@Lisalanaola it works, stuff happens for a reason
@@Lisalanaola do you know that CTG drugged and he and his friends took advantage of a 15-year-old girl?? Yes what they did to her I can't even fix my mouth to repeat it. Watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid. And to show you how cocky he is.. the openly admitted it. He also admitted, giving his now wife, Spanish fly and alcohol then had sex with her while she was asleep. Asleep you hear me?? Now I know what we call that where I'm from. Charlamagne is a monster ?this s*** just ain't caught up with him yet?
As an introvert, I loathe small talk too! Omg it’s so draining lol. I love the conversation about setting boundaries too. Excellent dialogue!!🙌🏾
Is it small talk without a purpose you dislike?
@@teokennedy9785 Yes
@@jerra_latrice I gotcha
It does serve a purpose 😅 iykyk 🤷🏾♀️
You obviously haven't done your research on charlamagne tha God charlamagne tha God openly admitted to giving his wife Spanish fly and alcohol so you could have sex. He also drugged A 15 year old girl. (Jessica Reid) Please!!! He's a monster trying to sale a book
Within 30 minutes of this talk, I was moved to purchase your book. I downloaded the ebook version. I started scrolling through the book, then before I knew it I have finished the introduction 😳. I stopped reading to write this comment. On to Chapter 1 and it opened strong with conviction.
There was a time that the sight of Charlemagne made me cringe. He has evolved so much over the past few years.
Right?!
Yasss I'm still cringing. All the hurt and embarrassments he caused most of his guest.
Same. I use to hate him. I’m glad he grew up.
I kind of agree. He’s totally inconsistent and maybe trying to find his lane? He can be super thoughtful and do some of the best interviews and sometimes commentary out there but then also put out a TON of negativity and really old tropes about gay people, race relations, politics, etc. he’s always complaining about media when HE is media and he does the same thing everyone else does. So many uninformed opinions. This is not the year to be doing that anymore. He could be the change he seeks. Our our more facts - inform and inspire people to get unfolded and be change agents. So many positive things he could be doing and he’s not. He could totally do better which is why I’m leaving the comment. He can still be funny, honest, silly, serious - all the things but he should cut out the negativity and toxicity. I know he can do it and it’s probably help his anxiety to be more authentic rid in that way as well. Stop doing the same old uninformed opinion podcast shows and circuits. I know he’s on his journey just like we all are. He’s come a long way but like all of us (without the influential platforms though) so too. 🙏💜
Anyway just my opinion.
@@hicksa1 Agree. He can still at times be really really toxic. And also uninformed. The comment section under his shows and clips are some of the very worst out there and he initiates that. But then at the same time he can be really thoughtful and compassionate. It’s too inconsistent for me at this point :/
The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves.... finally learned the lesson...
This interview, conversation was bomb! I was hanging on every word. Really enjoyed this one, thank you guys, I value you both so much
Charlamagne tha God is a monster he drugged the 15 year old girl and took advantage of her and allowed his friends to participate in the act as well. This is not allegedly to avoid prosecution he played to a lesser charge. watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid.
Uncle Charla is definitely the reason I looked into therapy for myself. He’s always willing to drop gems and help other people with his honest trials of his life all while being himself still. His transparency of who he was and who is now is dope, thanks for always being you unc!
Success is a construct. It’s your perception or success that is the prison.
Prison? Done nothin to go there honestly. My perception is cleaning as the lies impacted it severely . Now i know all involved it makes this easy . Trust is hard for me since no1 can be truthful without standing in their own way or dont want to hurt someones feelings. Well lies hurt more n offer 0 healing. Truth hurts but comes wit healing... self healed aka imma master healer ⚡️
Since its a show , shitty one, shitshow(i didnt name it) . Let me take a shit here, my spiritual verses havnt been heard in 7yrs + but the energy for them as been given so without words i give truth(undensed energy) .
I havnt even started. Tongue tied due to figurin out whos playin me. But not the case. Yall see somethin in me otherwise i wouldnt be here. Im done playin the shit show.
@@WoLFNardzBlueSparkz-dp5vzcharlamagne tha God drugged and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl and he also openly admitted how he used alcohol and Spanish fly to have sex with his now wife while she was asleep before they got married. And this is the spokesperson for mental illness that y'all are praising at the moment and you wonder why the black community is in the state that it in right now we keep giving passes to abusers
Man, this is sooo GOOD! We need EVERYONE to tune into this because MOST of what y’all discussed about US as PEOPLE is TRUE💯🔥🙏🏽. We need to do better❗️
“Just because something is successful doesn’t mean that it’s working……” ❤❤❤ 🔥
Deep
Please sister. Watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid and spread the word. Don't let this Beast get away with this
5 minutes in and that's one of the best episodes, one of the buest guests. Damn, i feel, what he is saying !! Thank you for this episode.
Agreed. This episode was top tier 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So many nuggets coming out of Charla. I couldn't stop listening. He is the "tribe" that I am looking for in my life. (e.g., the judgments when they don't even know you, etc.). Many thanks for this. So proud of my black brothers right now.
You should listen to what Jessica Reid has to say about him. She's the 15 year old girl who CTG. Drugged and he and his friends took advantage of her. He's also the guy who openly admitted to giving his now wife before they were married Spanish fly and alcohol to have sex with her while she was asleep.. watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid. I'm so sick of these celebrities thinking they can do anything they want to black women and just get away with it because of their celebrity. Has a black woman you should be appalled and sick to your stomach that this guy is being given a platform to spew his bulshit. How about them nuggets. There's plenty more strong black men who respect black women that you can be proud of he ain't it
If you are interested in people, there will always be conversation.
I like, live autobiography, people are interesting, they always have a story.
I throughly enjoyed every moment of this conversation. Macro conversations should be what’s in, and micro conversations out. Thank you both for this symphony of wisdom and truth 🙏🏾🫶🏾✨
The longest conversation started 19yrs ago.....
This was such a great conversation. Felt like therapy. The story/analogy of the raft was a revelation for me. Success being a prison…so many things. Thanks to both of you for this.
He is a very good-looking man😍
repetitive situation in my life never gave me any idea of feeling worse about myself or that i wasn't good enough. there are moments that feel like my trust in the Lord is so much that he has given me something to hang on, and my time will come eventually.
Every failure is a lesson in business and life. 👏🏽🧡
I always wondered why people volunteer lies. No one asked anything. They just wake up and start telling lies. Why do that? It's so easy to just stay silent.....isn't it?
I laughed 😂 then I said this reminded me of a girl I worked with every Monday she did the most big things she talked about from Friday night to Sunday but the fact between Tuesday and Wednesday she was asking to borrow money 😂 just lying for nothing. So true
@@deidrajames4258weird stuff. Just volunteering lies that no one asked for. 🤦🏾♀️
I think people who are not happy with the reality of their life tend to do this because them lying is a way of creating the reality that they feel is ideal. Basically they understand the power of perception and how people only perceive you based on what you show them, and they don’t want people to know how unfulfilled they are with their life so they lie 🤷🏾♀️ but I could be wrong
Great Conversation!! Thanks For Sharing. 👍💛
I appreciate how Charlemagne describes the importance of joy and light as a key element to making rational decisions. Rational thinking embraces diverse experiences that could be informative and influential. Thank you for hosting this wonderful discussion, Jay! ⭐️💯
Please!! Watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid. She was only 15 .CTG was a grown man. Please.
He openly admitted to giving his wife Spanish fly and alcohol to have sex with her while she was asleep!!! What do you call that!!!
"A lot of the things he was disciplining me for was for things he never taught me because he wasn't taught himself"......wowow!
What a beautiful conversation! Thank you Charlamagne!
I love love love love love this!!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING. I feel the same way and I leave feeling so encouraged and will be picking up the book! ❤❤
Great dialogue!
Pre-ordered the book, last month and I SO look forward to it.
I really enjoyed this conversation! It was so full of wisdom.
Lots of Love from Sri Lanka. I started to watch your podcasts two days ago and would watch all the videos.. Thanks in advance for changing our lives..
I completely agree with Jay. People are terrified of being honest.
Woooo! Just because something is successful doesn’t mean it’s working! What a word!
Excellent Jay Good content for sure

Love love love this episode. Always Enjoy Charlamagne, beautiful to see his growth as i imagine it's not easy to do with the world watching. Yet he is still so transparent about it all. Could have listened more. Thanks
Mmm this was a conversation I really needed to hear. So much balance and gems.

One of the best interviews I’ve seen in a while. I watched it twice!

Powerful, insightful and educative thank you Shatty and Charlamagne
Great conversation. More unbiased honesty is what the world needs. Thanks for sharing. 🧡
Great conversation
loved this conversation, thank you
wowww great convo
I had a similar moment IN therapy. I’ve seen the same therapist for about 10 years & she is exceptional. I had to rly commit to being as honest as possible & if idw talk about something yet just saying, idw get into that today. I’ve gotten SO much more from therapy the last couple years in particular & not shockingly, I’ve grown more in that time than a long time. Having gone back for my masters in licensed mental
Health counseling this year it’s been interesting learning about myself through that. I can’t wait to go into the industry myself, it’s something I’ve been called to for years. I had to take the leap through the fear about going back to college. Glad I did!
That iz amazing!
Finding people to share that honesty with......👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great episode..insightful
Great work. I love this episode.
Get choice! It's been truly beautiful watching Charla's growth. Glad he is here ❤

Jay is a great example of an active listener. Such a gift.🪷🙏🏾

Great conversation !
Wow this was a really good one
Love to hear Charla speak, great interview
YEEEES, CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH THIS!
Enlightening.
Great discussion
Very nice conversation 😊 like it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you very much 😊
I really resonate with the point about no time is ever wasted. We can always use each day as lessons on this life journey- it just depends on our perspective. We can always learn something from something.
Amazing episode!
Great Conversation!!!!!
This is an amazing interview. The talk about sitting under the tree hit home. I watched my dad sit under the tree until he died. 🥺 Charlamagne is underrated. More men and women need to listen.
Love the show❤️✌🏾😊💯 Free of Speech is beautiful. You don't have to be right or wrong. You have to live with the consequences of whatever said 💯💯 I just started watching
Bravo! This conversation was so intriguing and profound. I got so much out of it. I don't know why people sleep on Charla! He really is good for the Culture (+Beyond).
Amazing interview, I got a different perspective of Charlemagne and got so much insight! Appreciate you guys!
This was excellent 👏🏾
This is deep!
Awesome video!
Love your video, Jay Shetty
Charlemagne 🎉 congrats on the growth!!
I'm impressed! This man has truly grown!
Amazing!👏
Love it ❤
Wait I love thisssssss.
Was excited to see Charlamagne on Jay shetty years ago even tho I wasn’t in that specific category or culture of healing/growth. I’m happy to say I’m 2-3 years invested in growth and mental health since then, so I’m happy to see Ctha God back on when I’m fully invested 📚
Great podcast, Jay! I couldn't help but get distracted by your shoes. Who makes them?
25:12 powerful part of this conversation! Analyzing others is easier and may come more naturally than analyzing ourselves. I think it’s because we don’t have a constant 360 view of our lives displayed in front of us. But for others like celebrities we see their lives displayed in front of us. It’s easier to judge and over analyze why they do the things they do.
Don't look up... one of the few movies I've seen and wow it made me bawl like a baby... I just couldn't.
Powerful
I adore Charla so much 🥹🫶🏾
Hi, Jay. I don't know if you ever heard about John Hudson, but it would be amazing if you could make something together. His story is so powerful, and we all can learn from it
Great interview. I love how both these men honor their wives. Love it.
Great dialogue
Charlemagne is amazing.
Such a fan of the way he thinks and he's funny.
Bouncing back from the thought of discipline on not knowing is intense.
I love when people are allowed to grow and evolve. People base their opinions of grown Charlamagne off of what they knew of the younger, wildcard Charlamagne and this is clearly an evolved version. Still very much himself, just adding upgrades. Good for him.
"you hit it on the head so crazy pause" LOL Charlemagne!
What a beautiful exchange. Two cool cats!
Definitely talking about Wax
