After seeing this video a couple of weeks ago Dave, I've been looking for a pair of these. I managed to pic up two from Havant Slotcar swapmeet on Sunday. I ran them straight out the box to understand what they're like, they were like running Fred Flintstones car. After truing the tyres and adjusting the wheels etc on the back axle they run really well. The motor could do with a bit more poke down the straight but they are great around the twisty's. I'm going to customise one of them by remaking the front fairing and repaint it the same as Valentino Rossi's kart he practices on. Oh and the front steering is a lot better than I thought it would be. Cheers Tony
Love the karts. Did an event for a karting track last year and raced 5 at the same time. Carnage is a polite way to describe the racing and the way they handled (They were the Scalextric Digital Karts)
Really slick thinking, very creative. If you wanted to hide the chip a bit more you could get a little bit of white plastic from a small drink bottle and hot glue in place. My first thought was inside the driver as well. Now I need to look for karts. Great video 👍
I think you'd stand a better chance of getting the SCD2022 decoder inside the driver but that chip brings with it a load of other issues especially if your CU is in a braking zone, the 1044 is a little bigger but problem free
Wow Dave, your imagination and ingenuity knows no bounds. Total respect but I suspect Karts will need a total modern revamp - rather like Revo has done with their splendid Group 2 models - in order to establish a new class?
Yeah I was trying to gloss over that in more ways that one LOL ... Imagine the words when I did it, the iron didn't actually touch it, barrel of the iron was just close enough for radiant heat to get it GRRRR
Awesome fun to race Dave
Bloody brilliant mate! Well done Dave and stay safe 😸
I love it. Question authority ABSOLUTELY
I'm watching.... I am an Electrician. I could NEVER do this. God Bless You Brother
Great work, thanks for sharing!!!!!! Maybe take a look at the 1/24 kart that I just tested!!!!!
I have been looking at to those, when do I get one to try? 😁
@@slotr 😁🤟😎😁🤷♂️
I love my Kart especially being a past National Kart Racing Champion 🏁
Very clever! Well done Dave!

Much like the Legends, fun is always better than fast :D

Superb video once again 👍
Might have a go myself looks like they could be fun
I love your "Dont tell me I cant attitude"
Wow Dave fantastic work
Hey Dave, FYI WASP Slot Car Products make urethane tires for the Ninco karts. May be better for wood tracks though.
Good work Dave, far too fiddly for my shaky old hands well done and great video!!!
Good work again Dave.
Looks great and when the cart is whipping past, you will never notice the wiring or chip

Darrell has some hot motors for those 😂
I just picked up that same Kart on Ebay.
I have 2 now so they can race! 🏁
Nice video, Dave ❤
Fun looking kart Dave looks like another proxy race class???👍👍👍
Are you in for the legend proxy in place of other Rob?
@@slotr yeah could be buddy but I would have to be the completely standard less magnet car??
@@robertsale6528 I'm not sure my mods will make mine faster, lol
@@slotr I've just pre ordered the jps legend from Pendle so looking forward to getting that. I'm sure yours will be top or fairly close Dave!! 👍👍
I dig it! 👍🏻
Nice work but did I notice that the kart had an accidental encounter with a soldering iron during that process?😢
Yeah I was trying to gloss over that in more ways that one LOL ... Imagine the words when I did it, the iron didn't actually touch it, barrel of the iron was just close enough for radiant heat to get it GRRRR
I have a Ninco kart but the thought of soldering the circuit board scares the hell out of me - do you do commissions Dave?😉
Ha ha .... No lol
