Fun fact: in calligraphy, a double loop in an 'o' signals a lie, on the cake there were two 'o's, but only one was looped, implying that Coraline was welcome, but she wasn't home.
Funnily enough, despite the fact that the movie added in the implication that everything in the Other World was made from sawdust, they left out the part in the book where Coraline refuses to eat any of the Other Mother's food after going to rescue her parents.
This scene is so creepy and unsettling yet warm and colorful, really baffles the brain on if you trust the Other parents or not
OHHHHH MY GOSH!!! DUDE THIS IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE SCENES AND THE STORYBOARD IS SO GOSH OH MY STARS
Can't believe the food in stop motion looks more appetizing than the one in real life
Makes you go hungry, doesn't it? I mean, if it helps, I'm _always_ hungry.

tiny details like that really make me respect filmmakers.
Wow interesting
The subtle movement of the candle flames with each turn or breath from Coraline. An absolute example of attention to detail.
The storyboard looks so good that they could take any frame of them to use as pictures in the book itself and it would fit perfectly.
I love Coraline with all my soul
It's good to see how it all comes to life
Totally not suspicious that the other mother isn't EATING ANYTHING
That’s because the beldam eats bugs
Like those cocoa beetles
This is by far my favourite scene it’s just so nostalgic
I just watched coraline today the best damn movie I have ever watched
1:17 THE FACE LOL
LOL I've never noticed that 😂😂
The food scenes in this movie make me so darn hungry. 🤤
I forgot I was watching a storyboard I was into the movie
how beautiful colors
The fact that Coraline only ate two bites of food- 💀
I know they got to get the show rolling, but i bothers me when they only take two bites in a film.
@Saladfacefingerhead LITERALY
The food was probably made of sand or sawdust like everything else in the other world.
i wish to work in Laika
‘Everyone does’ can be classic gaslight word
This has got me thinking Hansel and Gretel she’s a real children maybe Coraline is like Gretel
Wow, recien noto que seria normal que Coraline este asustada, pero para mi que este tan calmada hizo mejor la escena...
My Favorite Cake Is Chocolate
If the other mother everything she did was fake.
What was the food made of?
Cloth, sawdust or from the bodies of the ghost children? 💀👌
Ooh good point
Funnily enough, despite the fact that the movie added in the implication that everything in the Other World was made from sawdust, they left out the part in the book where Coraline refuses to eat any of the Other Mother's food after going to rescue her parents.
The cake’s lettering in the storyboard is made to look sewn… 😨
Would’ve been good foreshadowing
The mom be like 💁
