One thing i want to point out in this Video lecture is about Magnetic field Influence of Earth which has been said in this lecture that it spreads till Solar winds which is not true. It just protects our earth from solar wind. It doesn allow the solar particles to enter into the earths Atmosphere.....i find these Lectures very much useful and she is explaining very clearly but little fast but i am okay with the speed....Thanks for uploading these videos Mrunal...

at 15:30 you show a diagram where the magnetic lines are originating from south pole . But according to convention we take origin of magntic lines from north pole and sinkng into south pole can anyone explain that ?
Where we have geographical North Pole it is actually a Earth's South Pole and vice versa. This is because our compass north pole always points towards earth's south pole (opposite pole attract each other) so to make it consistent with compass, geographical North Pole is kept at earth's magnetic south pole so that it now compass north pole point towards geographical North pole (which is actually magnetically earths South Pole) . I hope this explains your question

Mam ek dbt hai.apnai bola ki Jo alternative polarity ocean k andar create hota hai kuki wo rock jab molten state mai hota hai to earth ka polarity wo adopt kar laita hai.ek chis samaj mai nahi ayi ki kya yai hamaisa compulsory hai ki rock jab molten state mai polarity adopt karta uska conjugate rock ka polarity opposite hoga jab melting position mai hoga.agar compulsory hai to ku compulsory hai?
The earth is expanding. Their is not enough force from the splitting sea floor to cause continental movement. If their was the lest possible path for a force would be to create a mountain rang up to the surface of the ocean. Similar to the Hawaiian islands . The earth is expanding, this is why their is little to no sea level rising due to the pole ice melting.
Dear Rajtanil Ma'm, why does google show the location of Mariana trench north-west to Northern Mariana islands? is there any rational behind it or its just a mistake that we can report to Google. I live in New Zealand and work as a software tech here and also i have been working on an application for Guam that i think is in the vicinity of this trench. There is other picture floating on internet that support your say that this trench is south-east to NMIs.

Dear Mam, If the magnetism of earth reverses frequently, then are we yet able to record these changing times ? And does this effect never affects the functioning of the magnetic compass ??
@shahid You cannot because Chrons( time period to alternate the polarity) on average is over million of years. That is only only through mappping magnetic properties of ocean rocks one came to know that magnetic behaviour of earth changes across ages. That is why its Geomagnetic reversal(Geo-earth surface related) not magnetic reversal.
