Houston is a black bar, lounge, day party, and nightlife city with a lot of public spaces. We ain't a recording industry hub. Live music is king, especially for black music. Artist looking to build a buzz here really gotta know how to rock a crowd which requires a deeper understanding and perfection of music and performance as a craft than just getting in the booth and rapping. You gotta view yourself as a MUSICIAN & PERFORMER *first* who just so happens to rap as well rather than just a *rapper*. Even Scarface, probably the top three best rappers to ever live is a MUSICIAN FIRST(guitar, turntables) and STILL tours with his band especially in H tine. You should interview more singers, musicians, djs, emcees to show a clearer view of the black music scene in H tine.
