I liked your video feeling like I was riding the trains looking out the window myself. Around 15-25 years ago I rode these trains making connections in Chicago or Kansas City all part of riding all the AMTRAK rail west of St. Louis originating from there in 5 weekend to weekend trips. Only the long distance Texas Eagle goes through St. Louis. I liked exploring some on refuel stops but needed to be careful to be back in time. I wonder if you could have made the short walk visit over to the St. Louis Union Station like that in a large airport to see its restored hotel and all the work done for its entertainment complex including a giant ferris wheel and aquarium. You would have really liked seeing the grand lobby of the St. Louis Union Station hotel. Maybe another time. I also liked seeing your experience riding the high speed portion for the U.S. on the recently completed AMTRAK dedicated track between STL and Chicago.
Great video Nate. I noticed that the big stations are like our Union Station in Los Angeles, no place to sit anywhere, if you want to sit you sit on the floor.
I'm thinking of taking Amtrak from KC MO to Chicago. Thanks for sharing this video!
The most direct route is the Southwest Chief. I took the scenic route instead here.

Another great video. Thanks

Well, I did not show the Amtrak waiting room. But it did not have much sitting area.
Great video! We’re riding business class or coach on these trains?
Coach. Still very nice seats.
Nice video. How fast did the train go?
I had an app that gave 110mph as the top speed through central Illinois.
This channel feels like it was done by Young Sheldon? 😅
Umm, okay. Never watched the show or Big Bang Theory.
@@nates.vintage.trains You should. He likes trains too. But anyway, it's a good video.
