Great video, beautiful interior. However, at 00:50, you don't start the car with your foot on the clutch: it's on the brake. Could be a while finding the "clutch" pedal on an automatic. 😉
A slight tweak to that... If you are in manual mode (using the paddles) and have Dynamic mode turned on (the 🏁 button) then you are right, the transmission will not upshift. I found that out the hard way when doing an overtake. Car just sat in third gear bouncing against the rev limiter and refusing to accelerate until I manually upshifted. Oops! But if you do not have Dynamic Mode on and are using the paddles, the transmission will actually automatically upshift when you hit maximum revs. I was surprised when somebody told me that and had to try it out for myself. I found out that he was right.
Hi, thanks for watching. I turned off that display. There's a setting where you can have a clock, a logo or a blank screen when you turn it off. Spread the petrolhead word.
I like this review however you need to do more homework on the information system, many of the things you didn’t like or found frustrating are in fact available ie. allowing the audio screen to remain in view, it’s a setting that is available. At least on my vehicle.
I know that but those settings are not obvious, so I was making a point that the infotainment system is not as intuitive as it should be.... Thanks for watching.
@@journeyofapetrolhead the review did tell me some things I did not know about my XF. Thank you. I live in Canada and have the supercharged 3.0 V6 AWD. It is a really nice, comfortable and driver oriented car.
@@Minto107 I have had no major issues at this time, I replaced the brake pads, (did it myself) I ran over a deep pothole and now I get intermittent low pressure warning light come on, (I think I may have damaged the sensor) also get an air flow sensor come on, another faulty sensor (I think) I bought a code reader and reset the code whenever it appears. Other than that it is quite possibly that best car I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot of new and used cars and trucks.
Thank you for this review! I’m buying one used and you were one of the only reviews that went through the infotainment system thoroughly
Hi, thanks for watching!
Happy to help...enjoy your new purchase!

Yeah...Oops!
I didn't know you could split the nav screen, ill have to try that.
Really informative and thorough, Thanks.
You're welcome!
Thanks for watching.
Beautifully explained👌🏾
Glad it was helpful!
The paddle shifting you don't have to change down when u turn it changes down its self but when u change going up you do it your self
Yes that's right but takes the fun away...!
Still want my paddles mounted in a static place please.

So it doesn't have memory seats? Or was that an option?
An option
