Great topic, good to know info! Thanks!
Thank you for doing this. both the volunteering and bringing us this inside look and the info with this video
Thank you Mickey and Brian for your love and stewardship of these peaks
All credit to Brian and CFI - what they do is amazing, just happy we could all give back a little bit on this day.
I went out and volunteered back in June on Quandary, it was so much fun and absolutely worth the drive out there! Thank you for helping to make our trails better!
Good topic. Good video
Thanks for the gorgeous video. I've worked on a few of these trips and really enjoyed them. It's difficult, dirty work, but also rewarding and quite a bit of fun. I highly recommend doing a trip if you have the time. They also need donations to keep up the work.
100% and all info on how to volunteer and/or donate in the vid description
Thank You sir! Great video and your work is much appreciated. Happy New Year!
Thanks so much for showing the great work so many people do to keep the trails in shape. I wish I could spend more time in CO, would definitely be helping out with this hard work. I know this isn't a place for voting on what gets worked on next, but I thought the SW La Plata route needs some help going from the basin up to the ridge. Both up and down it was hard to follow the trail plus it was very steep and slippery. I could see someone getting hurt in that area.
Such a good day dude. Great hanging.
Thanks man for giving back!
I’m a senior Crew Lead for Durango Trails and can’t emphasize enough how important Volunteers are to the long term sustainability of our trails! Head bowed from the San Juan’s…🙏🏾
Right back at you - can't thank you enough for the work down there. I ran into a crew on Wetterhorn a few years back and was amazed by the work you all have put in.

Thanks for this video. Have wanted to do this work with CFI ever since running into a crew on Elbert!
I was out there for one of the earlier work days on Quandary this year, and it's nice to see how many people came together to improve the mountain over the span of several days and to see the end product of all the work from everybody.
Thanks so much for doing the volunteer work -- and for inspiring others to pitch in.
My "home" mountains are the White Mountains in NH, and I am sure the AMC has similar opportunities to give back.
Absolutely they do: www.outdoors.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities/ for more info
Man, scenes out there are so wild. No goats in New Hampshire at elevation.
Love this! Missed this particular opportunity, but will hopefully find another day I can participate. Haven't built trail since I was at Philmont at loooooonnnnng time ago. Thank you for being a true mountain and outdoor space advocate. Lots of people are being exposed to these ideas and peaks through your work.
A fellow Philmonter, I see! I’m going back for my 4th time before I turn 18 next september, likely to do OA trail crew. Hoping it’ll be as fun as Rayado was, which I did this year.
@@ForzaMonkey I got 3 treks and Cavalcade under my belt when I was a scout, then a summer on staff as a ranger a few years after I turned 18. Never pass up an opportunity to spend time there!
I have worked on CDTC/CDT/CT trail building teams building and maintaining trails. I know now how to wield a Pulaski above and below treeline. What we worked on mainly was building trails to build bridges and ensure snow melt and rain would runoff the trail so the trails so they don't get washed out. Would like to perform similar role with CFI. Thanks.
Awesome to hear, I would 100% reach out to CFI, I am sure they could use some volunteers. Alternatively, I am hosting a trail work project on June 29th if you are interested in joining: forms.gle/XVzwTLzgxrjyRksp7
