Great video! I enjoyed that you touched on the conservative nature of the place and hopefully that encourages more people to be respectful when visiting! You even made note of local dishes that might get overlooked which was nice. One more thing to note on beaches is no lifeguards, so swim responsibly. I encourage people to visit, meet locals & learn the culture! #Caymanian

Traveling in general has become so unpleasant in major part due to Instagram and the attention seekers who want selfies. This has caused a trend in travel, which has clogged up most places with idiots who otherwise wouldn’t give a second thought about nature and they would be content just boozing at home and smoking cigarettes on their front porch.
Another major factor is the "Buy Now , Pay Later" vacation options. Now brokies are traveling everywhere because they don’t have to actually have any money to do it. Before you actually had to earn good and take a well-deserved vacation (break from working) now broke jobless people are using the buy now pay later) that is why not only are things crowded, you get that low class vibe and people who are quick to fight and get angry everywhere. A lot of people lately have noticed the shift in attitudes everywhere and how people seem angry now and it’s due to this.

I'm not sure about all this but I understand your point.

@@detailedtraveler Im definitely sure or I wouldnt have mentioned it. Its definitely the cause. These people are financing vacations and clogging up destinations since they dont have to have the funds and can make payments. This gives rise to the lo quality rude type people everywhere. I mean everywhere. Was just in Grand Cayman, traffic is abysmal. I asked several peopel from there and they say the population is out of hand due to the work permits and construction etc and them bringing in Jamaicans instead of hiring local.
Even a local person who was born and raised there told me the Jamaicans are taking all the jobs at the hotels and that if one Jamaican gets in the job they fire locals and hire more Jamaicans. Or they make the locals lives hell until they quit then they hire Jamaicans. FACT, go to Grand Cayman now and you will see this in almost every hotel.

@@detailedtraveler And that is when there arent 3 or 4 cruise ships docked. If there are a couple ships, traffic gets completely out of control and main beach Seven Mile gets packed, so even if you stay there, you wont enjoy the beach as much on cruise dock days.
Starfish Point, and Spotts are also the same on days the ships dock. Only beach not really crowded during that time is Library beach, but it isnt that great. Also on days the ships dock you can see restaurant workers more visibly annoyed.

I have heard about the occupation separate by nationalities from our cab driver from the airport. I'm assuming the Jamaican workers are cheaper to employ? What I don't have any knowledge of is the financing of vacations is what I meant, sorry that was a bit confusing from my end.

I totally agree with the cruise ships, we saw four docked at the same time from our resort but on those days we weren't heading anywhere so we didn't experience the crowds but we saw droves of ppl walking down the beach back to the port so I can totally understand that.
