Hi Jamie.....cool lesson groovy cat.... interesting thing on the major seven is it could be a major six thats borrowing a tone from the neighboring diminished ...of course you will get that idea if you went into Barrry Harris thoughts. I think Monk used flat five dominants fairly often? Not sure but I will leave with how major is altered for that diminished scale..... 1 b2 b3 4 b5 5 6 7 ... I guess basically a whole tone scale with a passing semi tone between every 3rd WT...if from V..... I am working on relating to the major scale for fingering purposes
