Les Patineurs (Émile Waldteufel) - "The Skater's Waltz"

Les Patineurs ("The Ice Skaters" in French), Op.183, is a waltz by Émile Waldteufel. Composed in 1882, and inspired by the cercle des patineurs (rink of skaters) at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, this romantic waltz reflects the grace and elegance of a beautiful winter scene.

My parents met at an ice skating rink and fell in love learning to ice dance. They used to ice dance to this piece. 😊

@@Lovily.C In some ways roller skating is even harder to dance to on a rink because those skates are a lot heavier on your feet. They did that too but they moved more slowly by necessity.
