I think Eric’s wins and loses at the creative side is priceless knowledge. I think wrestling stories are pretty much the same story telling but adding the unique flavor or the wrestlers. Also the ability to read the audience is key. Simple put wrestling in the ring is never enough, you need drama or story telling to not blow your material too fast but keep it interesting. As people says here, you’re AEW could use that help.

I believe the only reason Vince hired bischoff briefly in 2019 is be cause aew was starting up and Vince was locking down any talent or threat into wwe contracts so that they would not go to aew and help Tony khan. But once Vince saw that aew wasn't a threat to his business and didn't know what they were doing he let floods of stars and staff like bischoff go.

The problem here is that the entire idea is wrong. Successful story lines in wrestling aren't written they are developed. Along the way there are creative ideas that help stoke the flames until you get the heat up enough to make some money on it.
Give two guys a reason to fight, escalate the tension, draw it out for a little while, then pay it off and let the crowd go home happy.
Eric can do pretty much every other aspect of a wrestling company well, don't touch the creative.

Critics will laugh at Bischoff and say he killed WCW and that he made many mistakes. And? Look, he beat WWF for 83 weeks in a row. No one else won even one week. Vince McMahon has done stupid storyline after stupid storyline that makes anything bad Eric did pale in comparison. Remember Katie Vick? Remember Duke “The Dumpster”? Remember Mae Young giving birth to a freaking hand? I could literally list example after example of dumb shit WWF/WWE has done that’s far worse than anything Bischoff or even Russo did while in WCW. WCW always had a great pro wrestling and reality based product. If Eric hadn’t been as successful with WCW during the Monday night wars, WWE would still be cartoon characters doing silly stories that made no real world sense. Whether you love, hate, or are indifferent to Bischoff, he changed the pro wrestling business for the better and can still do pro wrestling stories better than anything TNA or AEW are currently doing.

Eric Bischoff is a one hit wonder, he made the gamble of hiring all of WWE’s talent of the 80’s and early 90’s. He then took an idea of the nWo from New Japan and he ran that gimmick up to beat the WWE for 83 weeks. He relied on Hulk Hogan to much and Hulk wasn’t about giving new talent pushes, he didn’t think a smaller 5-10 to 6-2 wrestler could be the main event so those guys left WCW and went to WWE to become big stars like Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero. Vince McMahon created new stars and was creative enough to see how the new talent was way better than WCW’s old talent. Eric wasn’t creative and relied on others to much that was his downfall. He blames others for his failures and never blames himself for WCW dying. Vince Russo and the AOL merger didn’t kill WCW. Eric Bischoff lack of creativity and change created riffs and he wasted to much money signing talent like Bret Hart and not knowing how to use expensive talent. WCW was bleeding money, they weren’t attracting new fans and TNT needed programming that makes money. So AOL executives cut the dead weight and that was WCW. Vince McMahon bought it for next to nothing and made Eric the brunt of the joke when he got hired by WWE and Eric Bischoff was a failure. Eric Bischoff never did anything successful in any other wrestling organization and that’s why he’s a one hit wonder.

I want to see movies get adapted as pro wrestling stories. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indy starts out thinking he's won his first world title but nope, Belloq brings in his stable of Novito wrestlers and wins the belt through chicanery. Then Indy finds out about the Lost MITB briefcase of the covenant but he has to win a snake match in the buried temple to get it. Unfortunately Belloq has joined another stable of dudes with a crazy Nazi gimmick and omg you guys they completely bury Indy at the ppv. I mean temple. At this point the fans online complain that Indy is just being wasted by stupid Spielberg and should have instead signed with George Miller and his new Mad Max promotion. But Indy starts racking up wins finally and has a final showdown where Belloq opens the briefcase and it all backfires as Indy is rescued by a stable of crazy angelic warrior looking dudes, leaving Indy all alone to get the pinfall victory and be the only person that comes out alive. Then Marion joins him in the ring to celebrate.

He then completely destroyed it with bad storylines, and pushing bad wrestlers over the (obviously) more talented ones because he "had a feeling about those guys". He's washed. He's been washed. I pray he never ever has a position on WWE or AEW's creative team. HHH is doing an amazing job and Tony Kahn can fuck up potentially great storylines all be his self

@@ONECrewReacts Eric wasn't in control of WCW when it was tanking. When AOL/Time Warner kept cutting budget to WCW, Eric wasn't there. It was doomed no matter who would have been in control. Literally everyone who was there has said that. Rhodes and Sullivan were on creative but were told what they could and couldn't do by a bunch of TV suits, and the networks were using the profits of WCW to pay the debts for other programs until they absolutely bled it dry. Vince didn't even save it. He bought it when it was dying and then deconstructed it instead of trying to save it.
It never had to do with "pushing bad wrestlers over the (obviously) more talented ones." Lots of guys who can't wrestle get over the guys who can. Sometimes the best wrestlers don't get over even when pushed because they lack charisma, or the ability to tell a story, or how to get over on the mic. Or they get in matches with guys that they just can't work well with. There are 100 reasons why a wrestler or an angle can fail, and only 1-2 that will make them succeed, and it isn't predictable.
