Yeah the bands you named developed at the same time as Metallica, but at that time they played different music than what is known as thrash metal. Metallica's first album included songs like Hit the lights, and Motorbreath which were written by James Hetfield before he formed Metallica (he was in the band called Leather Charm when he wrote these songs and it was couple years before Anthrax and Exodus even formed) and now these songs are known to be pretty much first songs of thrash metal. Man, I'm sorry for what I said. Seriously, I admit, I was wrong. Just had bad couple of days. Metallica are legends because they invented thrash metal. All other bands that are playing in this genre are Metallica's followers (even though some bands had helped thrash music become popular as much as Metallica did - bands like Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Testament...) But it's like comparing today's metal bands to Black Sabbath. They are legends too. So in my opinion Metallica is not overrated.
Reminds me of Clawfinger... another European band that has unbelievably awesome studio production, great riff writing, and a HORRIBLE grasp of the english contextual lexicon. Why not sing in German and rock the shit true to form? I never hear anyone complaining that Rammstein actually sings in German. They f-ing rock, and I don't understand %99 of what they're saying. Problem with these guys is that I do understand what they're saying, and it's dumb. Too bad; Like I said- the music is great!

Perhaps Smolski plays all the instruments on Into The Light. After all, he is a multi-instrumentalist, and a very skilled one. But I'm not sure.
