Alrighty, let’s get started.
Turns out, Henry and Katherine were the equivalent of trailer park booze hounds… huh. Also them bonding over how terrible they are at parenting (Poor Charlie and Sammy). …somehow Charlie is parenting her mother, not what I expected, but hilarious (also saddening) nonetheless.
As for Elizabeth’s side: I can understand her hatred of William and the desire to make sure he stays out of their life. William hurt her, hurt Michael, hurt basically everyone around him in so many ways that expecting him to get better? Terrance has lost any common sense or pattern recognition in favor of the variation of Daddy Issues that is almost what Elizabeth used to have, wanting him back, wanting to believe he can be better, etc. As a reminder, Elizabeth confirmed that William abandoned her in the FNaF 6 fire, she’s realized that he was using her for years and she remembers how much he’s hurt her, Michael and whoever else. The hint about the diagnosis makes it worse, because while yes, it provides a reason as to why William only seemed to care about Terrance and maybe Evan (not really, because he still cared about Terrance too, in a fucked up way. Maybe. Might have just seen Terrance as a tool for his own success) It doesn’t justify leaving one child to raise another, especially as no one really raises Michael once William decided he was useless/disappointment. So yeah, Elizabeth has literal mountains of reasons, evidence and stories as to why she shouldn’t trust William. And as to why she doesn’t think he can get better? Look at all the previous times he “tried to be better”, he kept smacking Michael, yelling at everyone, not actually caring about them, hell, watch the video where Terrance admits he’s gay, William goes fucking postal on Terrance and Michael. So, Elizabeth likely thinks this most recent attempt is just more of trying to manipulate them and pull their strings. So yeah, Elizabeth’s seemingly “unreasonable” hatred of William? Perfectly explainable, easy to follow and entirely justified, imo.
TLDR? William has shown he’s a piece of shit with no interest in actually improving (at least to Elizabeth, we know he wants to change because we see his POV too, but William has never proven to literally anyone other than maybe Terrance and Mrs. Afton that he’s tried to improve. After all, he’s manipulated them all before by being a “good person” or whatever else, so essentially, since “trust but verify” or “innocent until proven guilty” has only served to hurt her and those she cares for? She’s taking steps to cut William out entirely because of all the pain he caused.

@@mr.nobody2858 I got annoyed by people saying Elizabeth is in the wrong, it felt like all those people who fucking glaze canon William with “well, he suffered more than the Missing Children, so the kids are in the wrong!” (Like… of course he should suffer more than them, he’s a fucking serial child murderer whose death didn’t make him realize what he had put everyone else through, it just made him stupid, even angrier, and wanting his already still suffering victims to suffer even more)
Edit: also, you know, he didn’t suffer more in canon. He got spring,cokes and was stuck in a room for 30 years, but all his victims were still around and had been stuck even longer. Like… people are just *really* stupid sometimes.
@@epicslayerguy99 It’s just retarded to see people not see the reason behind it all or see how it really is. William is not the victim here, he’s the reason why everyone has to suffer. He doomed his family to eternal life for his own self interests, he’s shown he wants to change now but he still committed many horrible acts before. Had he been a good father to his children besides just to Terrance, had he never decided to take the lives of kids who did nothing wrong to him and had he chosen to just live his life as a rich businessman. He would have never been in this situation but people glazing William should get their fucking eyes checked and their logic tweaked. Because it doesn’t take a fucking genius to know that no matter how you twist it all, William is still a piece of shit human being.

The more and more i see Elizabeth plan unfold i can only think its gonna end bad fot her. Lately she has been so focused on making Williams life hell again that shes not realizing the damage shes doing to her own life.

I love how clever Elizabeth truly is, she knows Sammy is an easy to fool and he cares more than he likes to admit. Elizabeth using her knowledge on what she knows and manipulating Sammy’s feelings to sway him to her favour. A fantastic display of Elizabeth’s true capabilities

I love how great this story is, it's truly fantastic. These characters are so well written!
So the issue with Liz isn’t only the past, but that she also can’t mentally handle or believe that William cares about them now. She believes no matter what, William won’t or can’t change. Which tbh, she’s somewhat right in. Well was right in. William has made strides now, but the past stays present. Especially with someone as vengeful as Elizabeth.

And then remember when William afterwards atoned for it, went on some self discovery trip, saved said son’s life along with others, and then actually proceeded to keep his promise on leaving said son alone & live his life without his input, defending him against Henry’s ex wife ”I already forgot her name” and has proceeded to be peaceful now? Like I said, this doesn’t make up for anything, but to say he hasn’t changed at all or is “pretending” in Elizabeth’s words? That’s far fetched.
Yeah, but look at it this way: She is an abused and neglected kid. Her 'father' never cared about her that we've seen, her mom was just putting all attention on Evan. William may have helped once or twice in more recent things, but only in ways that, at least to Elizabeth, could also just look to be self-serving. Whether it's "He helped us so we would trust him" (as in, he didn't actually care, but wanted to get closer for some reason). or "he helped because he saw us as something that belonged to him." (Cared, but saw them as objects rather than people, which we've sort of seen him do before as he cared more about Terrance as his 'heir' than as his son. Seen in how he treated Michael after Michael stuck with things he wanted rather than do what William was trying to make him do.)
Besides, William has this habit/pattern of getting people's trust only to stab in the back (and/or face) later.
Henry: William killed his favorite child (Charlie)
The Missing Children: (he earned their trust by being in the Spring Bonnie costume, a person they were always assured was safe, in a location that should have been safe) He killed them
Elizabeth: Said he made a robot "Just for her" (Circus Baby) and said robot killed her (seriously, this doesn't get brought up enough. He made a FUCKING MURDER ROBOT, told his child "it's made just for you! Now, you're never allowed to see it." and then she managed to get away from his attention and get to said robot. Like seriously, this fact alone justifies her paranoia of him.)
Seriously, basically the entire main cast has been betrayed/killed/fate worse than death because of William. Frankly, the amount of trust that Terrance and Rosemary give him is fucking terrifying, given we know he killed, let's see... Elizabeth (indirect), Alex (he's in funtime Freddy, dunno if direct or indirect), the 5 canon missing children (direct), Charlie (direct), Terrance (indirect, the message of "free her"), at least two more kids (Andrew and... the one that entered Michael's mind, Andy or some shit?. Direct. All the staff that died at Afton Robotics/SL/CBEaR (indirect)).
And those are just the ones off the top of my head. Why on earth would anyone trust him to "get better" with a track record like that? Not even including the child abuse, neglect, psychologically torturing one of his kids (Evan's nightmares are confirmed to be from William in this AU iirc.), building an entire line up of child murder bots, flying off the handle at the reveal that one of his kid's is gay, the list goes on. Trusting William? What kinda fuckin moron would do that? Oh, that's right. "Daddy Issues 0.5" and "Mother the-way-too-forgiving".
Seriously, look at what William has actually done, to his *own children* especially and tell me with a straight face that Elizabeth and Michael hating him and wanting him anywhere but in the house with them is wrong on their part.
This isn't me trying to go after you, but... People seem to be willing to forget *so many things* William has done, and all because "He said he wants to change" (for the third time. After the first two failed. After he was already a terrible person for like, 40-50 years with, and I believe he's stated this himself, no regrets.) I can understand wanting to see people become better, or to be willing to give people a chance, but... William's burned too many bridges to really be in their life as anything other than "tolerated by way of never interacting" or "outright hated, but ignored to keep the others happy".

It's probably because of how she manipulates people. Everyone has been manipulated at least once in their live, so to see a character use people like tools and be proud of it, for some people it might a little to close. Not to mention her self-righteous attitude, unlike every other character, she didn't try to change, because she think she has the right to do so.

Because look at it from her perspective: William, as long as Elizabeth can remember, has done nothing but hurt her and her favorite person (Michael, because he actually gave two shits about her and took care of her while Evan got special treatment, which we now know the reason for, but the reason doesn’t excuse William being a shitty parent.). Why *should* she trust that he’s improving? After all, William has had decades to improve by now and every time before now he “tried to improve” he proved that he made very little to no progress (the video where he yelled at Terrance for being gay and then attacked Michael verbally as well as slapping him for “infecting Terrance with homosexuality” or whatever he called it.). Like seriously, *we* know William is serious about this, but Elizabeth has mountains of evidence to suggest William is just trying to play nice and manipulate them again (I know he isn’t, but I can understand why she thinks so).
