Teil gehört und bin sehr von Smetanas aber auch von der Arbeit des HR-Orchesters angetan 🙂Es ist auch immer schön den einen oder die andere von den Corona-Gruppen oder -Solovideos wieder im Orchester zu entdecken 🙂
Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieses tschechischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit seidigem doch gut phrasiertem Ton der technisch perfekten Soloharfen zu Beginn sowie gut vereinigten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der geniale Dirigent unterstützt die jungen Musikanten im gut betrachteten Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch. Der intelligente und geniale französische Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete deutsche Orchester im relativ langsamen Tempo und mit künstlerisch kontrollierter Dynamik. Obwohl die Resonanz nicht ideal ist, kingt die ganze Interpretation noch hörenswert!

Je le reconnais, je suis amoureux de cette œuvre, comme de la musique tchèque en particulier ça fait donc de moi une personne exigeante ! Si cela aurait prolongé le concert, une ouverture ou un poème symphonique de Dvorak aurait fait l'affaire. Ça ne retire rien à la qualité de l'orchestre, ni à celle de son chef.

It wasn't really discovered in 'the West' until the early 20th century, although popular across Eastern Europe. How Traditional Smetana is Made I remember watching my grandmother making traditional homemade Smetana in her kitchen. Smetana was originally made by allowing natural farm milk to ferment for a few days in a warm room or oven. Natural farm milk has more cream in it compared to what you buy in the store, which makes great Smetana. My grandma always had farm milk, but would separate the milk and cream, then let the cream ferment to make Smetana. Using cream is tastier than using milk.
The original Czech noun "smetana" means just a cream (milk product). The sour kind of smetana is called "kysaná smetana". There are several types of smetana, for example "smetana na vaření", etc.
So this kind of smetana is also popular in the Central Europe. For example, the famous signature Czech wedding dish "svičková na smetaně" uses this kind of cream, also another Czech dishes like "králík na smetaně", etc. Creamy sauces are also common in Austrian cuisine, which is quite closely related to Czech. Sour kinds of smetana are more popular in the Eastern side of this area, like East Moravia, or countries who are more leaning towards East geographically and culturally like Slovakia.

And the sound engineer actually did a very good job (as with most videos on this channel) but the fade in that place can be quite monumental. Great for choral pieces, not so brilliant for orchestral repertoire with a lot of abrupt dynamic variation. Just listen to how long it takes for the final chords to die away.

Still they manage to preserve the best sound they can. I can hear the echo, but it is not disturbing. And thank you for your comment, I didnt know Premium was better in sound compared to the usual. I did it for getting rid of the ads.
