I just picked up The Swamp, it looks very interesting.
Indeed it does. I've heard its even much more enjoyable than the first volume
Really like the sound of The Man Without Talent and The Box Man.
Telling stories through movement is surely in the origin of Manga
You have an impressive collection!!
Definitely agree. Thanks for watching!
Sensational run down welcome back ! I added so many your content has the most adds with substance I love it . Will pass on the mercy poisoning and tragic love titles I’ve had too much reality myself in life so I need content that lets me escape vs placing me at ground zero. So- do you know why Frankenfran omnibus runs are so impossibly expensive? It must be a REALLY REALLY good series from 2016? But prices are
Nose bleed . Mind you if it’s that good I will purchase it I just need some other SME to vouch and say yes it’s the real deal :-)
I've never read Frankenfran but I am aware it's from Sevenseas, and they raely keep things in print for very long
um
...
I'm really interested in lots of stuff that you have. Plenty of material to pick up in the stores though some are OOP already, including Lady Snow Blood. :\
I also plan to get some stuff from Jiro Taniguchi, I've heard very good things about it. Overall, great collection!!
Yeah I was super lucky to come across a full set of Lady Snowblood a couple of months back.
Oh! Updated. Nice.
Indeed. I thought it was a good idea to do an updated one not too long after the initial one as the collection had grown quite a bit since then
@@ArchAngelManga i noticed some of these mangas are not being re stocked by amazon and other sellers. Are they out of print? Like cigarette girl.
@@comicsdude3166 I believe so yeah. Many of them seem to have had limited print runs as it is. You might able able to find them on other sites but a reasonable price isn't guaranteed
Great video dude! I gotta say, the gekiga manga that I own made me more appreciative of my collection because of the history and differences behind it. Thanks for the recommendations!
That's why I keep it all on its own shelf lol. It just feels special and has that extra weight to it knowing how historically significant it is
Great video. One series that I didn’t know was considered Gekiga is Golgo 13. I was lucky to buy a majority of the books before Takao Saitô passed away, and now some of the volumes are hard to find.
Yeah it's quintessentially gekiga. Hope you enjoyed it!
@@ArchAngelManga I’m looking forward to checking all of these series out.
nice video. im looking to start collecting gekiga and alternative manga and this gave me an idea of where to start
You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great gekiga collection man! I got to pick up a few of these titles. I know you must be excited for upcoming Jiro Taniguchi (The Solitary Gourmet) release.
I am indeed. Anything by Taniguchi is a must-buy for me!
@@ArchAngelManga lol same here
Absolutely love gekiga manga, gonna try to get some of these
Do it!
Great update, you have added quite a lot since the first vid
Thanks, yeah i'm always on the lookout for gekiga titles as they come by so rarely
