Today we're turning this bog oak, which has been soaking in a peat bog for thousands of years, into a beautiful pool cue with 32 points. No talking, just woodworking.
This material is crazy. It is a gorgeous patina. Smells like a musty ash tray. Splinters when cut aggressively. But I found it to be surprisingly stable with minimal movement!

I’m a table mechanic in Arlington, Tx. I’ve noticed you’ve got an Olhausen 8’… hope the setup is correct. With the 16 slate screw points, most installers hit that center until it stops, not realizing it’s an adjustment point (and that’s hoping their wax only seams hold 😱).
Anyhoo, I’ve got a job around the middle of January in Georgetown, interested in trading? ….if you don’t already just do your own table? I could teach you how to make that Olhausen fly faster than a Diamond, and I am a Diamond registered mechanic 😉🫡
