I’m this episode you meet James our camera man and we let him drive the 400bhp monster
This car belongs to one of our customers who has decided to sell.
It has 49k miles and a years Mot.
3 years ago he spend a small fortune , a lot more then what the car is selling for.
Engine has been rebuilt and fully forged , bugger turbo , bigger injectors, Walbro fuel pump ,
Power coated parts such as front subframe ,
Paddle clutch , mtec discs and pads the list really goes on.

I'll let you get my Coupé on the channel 'when it's finished' 🙄 I've told Alex he can have a go too. I just need to get the thing put back together. It's had a lot of work carried out over the last few years and it needs the interior painted and installed now. Hopefully it'll be ready for the end of summer this year.
It had 416bhp for years and was rather wayward, even though it was mapped with low torque for a more progressive delivery (wasn't fully forged then). I've had a roll cage and Quaife ATB diff fitted in an effort to get the power under control. It's now 100kgs lighter than standard has a far more aggressive 450bhp 370lbs/ft 😁 I also wanted to improve the spool so lots of flow work done too.
Gearboxes on these cars do go and have done for years. I think the consensus is around 380lb/ft and the 5 speed is stronger IIRC.
The gearboxes on the earlier 20v Turbos were different to the latter. The latter ones have a better feel.
It would be good to see you buy this one, so that's my vote 👍🏻 Race it against the fezza.

i am italian and i own one ,6 speed gearbox it`s so fragile better 5 speed , much more relaiable ,

Guys you should call this one "rattle snake". Its turbo sound is very unusual, in a good way. To check what I mean - 11:20 - it sounds exactly like a rattle snake
I mean, road is wet, you should expect hell from old 400hp fwd on probably bad and skinny tyres 😅

Just adjust the rake of the wheel - No need for italian driving position in a Coupe. 😎
And altho my Coupe was ’only’ 340hp it really benefits from OMP lower front brace (for Alfa 155) which eliminates torque steer!
Mine had a 3” downpipe so I had to reroute the brace a bit, 30min job.
The only gearboxes breaking in Fiats are the GM/Opel boxes in GrandePunto’s and Croma Mk2’s.
But yeah, I’d much rather have the Fiat Coupe than the brother Alfa GTV (same car under the skin basically). So much better as an all round car, faster & better looking too imho.
And - actually - its super safe on track! I did 8.36BTG on Nurburgring easy, without knowing the track. With my current Bmw Z4M Coupe I still can’t come close. THAT is a car that wants to kill you! 😂

Noticed at 17:40 when revving the engine, there's a slight whirring sound. My Coupe does the same thing when it's warm, curious as to what it is
