So my grandfather passed away a few years ago, the most random thing about this video sparked memories...the 2 blue boxes you pulled out...he used the exact same ones to keep tinkering bits in...thank you
There are so many choices these days Garrett when it comes to watches. It's possible to have a stable of really cool looking watches without spending tons of money. I have however, always wanted a Rolex and a Montblanc watch.
@@RelaxingASMR well said. Thanks for the reply! I got a tissot because I played an event at their opening at the World Trade Center location (I’m a musician) but no other reason. I’ve come to learn it’s actually a great choice for a first watch! Need to go for an auto or mechanical next though ;)
I’m so glad you don’t do the contrived style ASMR videos. I genuinely enjoy watching you tinker and explore things. Even the yard work videos are relaxing. Thanks for everything!
Thank you for the relaxing video. Tip to preserve the batteries On your quartz watches: just pull the crown (the second hand will stop) and store them like that.
Being able to see such great care taken for items such as these wristwatches is a wonderful feeling. Your videos in general are an excellent form of meditation, as the topics you raise in these are enlightening to listen to. Thank you for another great video.
Being a subscriber for many years and a watch enthusiast myself, this video is a match made in heaven. These may be inexpensive, quartz movement watches for some, it is still a great topic for ASMR to just show a watch collection.
Always a pleasure just lying down and zoning out to your voice and subjects man. You're rock solid, keep on keeping on. Been close to a decade now that I've been watching ya ever since the early days and been enjoying the journey.
Holy moly I had that exact box when I was 5 years old i used it on my desk at home for my expensice coloured pencils. I had a matching hard shell lunch box as well. Nostalgia is a hell of a thing lol.

Man i had 2 of those same boxes as a kid for my model painting brushes and one for my pastels... time and wear took them away but you brought me back to my early teens drawing anime at my desk with that box on screen
Gosh I just absolutely love that Shark watch... Always wanted one with that kind of look when I was in highschool and still love the look to this day... I just love the sport look of it...
Ohhh wow.. I always wanted one like that... That sports watch.. with the blue dial. With the light in it... Oh wow.. still had the plastic on the crown.. I love how thick it is
There's a lot of great watch channels on YT, and a great community. I have about 20 watches, Vostok, Orient, Oris, Tudor, Citizen, Zelos, and some others. There's so many good brands out there. But be careful it can get expensive real quick.
On a Seiko Kinetic the jumping seconds hand is in indicator that the capacitor is "out" of charge. The Kinetic watches aren't truly Automatic in that they don't store charge in a spring, they store charge in a capacitor. Do the Seiko Shuffle for a few minutes and then it should charge properly after that. The Seiko Shuffle is where you do what you did with by rotating the watch through 90 degrees in a bit of a turning over motion, and there are plenty of UA-cam videos about the Kinetic or the Seiko Shuffle.
you could do a curler bead video. I think its pva? the colorful plastic little tubes you arrange on a pinboard and then iron. People sometimes use tweezers to place the individual beads.
I have owned a few Fossil Watches in my day. They range from $100 to a few hundred dollars in value usually. The lens on the front of the watch is made from Crystal.
Great video as always thank you. Also fossile watches are intermediate to higher end up where I live in Canada the start around $80 and can go up to the $400 or more.
I'm also a huge fan of inexpensive chinese watches, both quartz and mechanical. You get such a lot of watch for your money! And lately they are so well-made. Love your collection! I have that same LIGE watch and always pronounce it 'Leej' - dunno if I'm any more correct than you! And Fossil's a boutique brand, they're not cheap. I'd say mid-range, as these things go. Generally around £100 - £200 depending on the model.
The Lige Watch website is so shady-looking. I went on there to see if maybe the 1853 was because they bought some company that had been making something else in 1853, but no. The 1853 is just a mystery. The watches ARE pretty, though.
I always have a good chuckle when I see these brands putting ridiculous dates to signify they had been in the market for ages...One day I hope to see something ridiculous like 1325 that would be a good laugh!
I believe the oldest you will find is Vacheron Constantin which has been around since 1755. I think its been running continuously for that entire time too if I'm not mistaken. Another old one is Breguet, in 1775. But nothing from the 14th century.
I like that fossil watch.. I used to have one in highschool.. never forget I accidentally broke it a few months after getting it.. I was so mad at myself... But I really like that black metal one and all the other light metal colored ones...
@RelaxingASMR, one of my favorite ASMR content creators on UA-cam is Dmitri aka MassageASMR. He is one of the OG ASMR artists on this platform with nearly a million subs. His content upload rate has declined over the years as familial responsibilities have taken precedent in his life. I have been looking for an equivalent to his relaxing mannerisms, voice, and speech cadence for years now. I ran across your channel by chance a few weeks ago. I must say you are the closest to him as I have found. I hope you continue providing quality content for years to come. Your channel will be one of my first stops each time I log on to UA-cam. Thank you!
One has to be careful when purchasing quartz watches which among their feature is waterproofing up to certain depths, this feature suffers when the battery needs renewing as the fitter will tell they will not guarantee that the waterproofing has not been compromised by opening and replacing the back.
What are the correlations between these; as it seems the more we need batteries for everything these days, it is harder and harder to find affordable beef and other meat products?
Omg.. that Disney watch.. keep that.. I just watched someone restore one of those... And they said it was worth something... Please... I'm not sure if this one of the ones. But still u should put it up somewhere anyway
Use POLY WATCH too buff out the scratch on your wife's watch, it's made for polishing achrylic crystals and polishes watch cases etc You can get it from AMAZON. .
I started fitting my own batteries this year, when it started to cost five pounds to fit a fifty pence battery, which takes all of about a minute to fit.
I really like to wear watches, even subscribe some watches channels and also like your channel, and just dream about you create a new watches review video. Yes, you do, just today! and I'm happy!

You are the OG of ASMR! Been watching your stuff for many years, and it's helped calm my anxiety and get plenty of 😴💤. Pure ASMR brilliance.
I would absolutely love just some old ramblings about your life. What you used to do for a career, hobbies, wisdom tidbits etc.

Where do you get those boxes that you store all of those stuff in, or what are they called?
Those boxes are just some cardboard school supply boxes like the kids used back in the day. They came from a school supply store over 30 years ago.
Those are some quality watches man
really really relaxing voice
Now this is high quality ASMR!

oh you replace the batteries! nice.
FYI, if you pull the stem on the watch before you store it, the battery will last a lot longer!
Also, if you open a "water resistant" watch, it has to be tested before the water resistance can be guaranteed again.
What kind of recording and filming setup do you use? Like microphone especially. These make me so relaxed and sleepy in a great way.
Maybe its a model or a series not the founding year, they look really nice
