Thanks for this review. I am intrigued by the board mechanism with the multi-layer flippable tabs on the board, the movement calipers, and the narrative book.
I love the art of that board. I wish there were maps like that which could combine 3d and squares/ hexes well. I've never liked the top down maps with lines for walls.
A short length of ribbon fixed to the board - with the tail passing out the thumb space? The ribbon would make the tile not level with the board of course but it would be easy to remove the tile. To solve that "countersink" the ribbon in a hole in the bottom layer of the board. There's got to be a simple way to make this work... Really charming board.
it's like a game and advent calendar all at once! it's janky but I kind of love the idea, haha. so we have 1 this, where tiles already on the board flip 2. gloomhaven where stickers alter the board, and i'm very excited about roll player adventures coming soon that has you 3. play cards on the board, which negates the problems of 1 and 2
They do make wooden dowels that have suction cups on them for those types of boards. I got them for City Of Kings just to make it easier to pick up the tiles. I could send you a link if you like.
@@TheDungeonDive I cannot really speak to that as I have not used them on that type of board but I can tell you they are strong enough to pick up and manipulate tiles, including large map tiles. They are relatively cheap and can be used for other hobby tasks if they do not work will with this board.
Thanks for the review! The book look nice!! A little bit disappointed in the fact that its a one shot play and its hard to sell after you "destroyed" the board ..Especially at this price point! But its thematic with Robin Hood; Give it to the next for free!
seems pretty neat! any idea how many scenarios or play sessions it would take to complete everything? looks like something my wife and i would enjoy playing together. (we've been playing MoM2e together as well.)

He makes the best looking boards. Ever since Stone Age.

Can't remember if you've ever shared your thoughts on Sword & Sorcery, especially since the new edition. Are you planning to review it someday?
No. Don’t like the game at all. Sold it a long time ago.

Ha! Wish I would have made the advent calendar comparison. So good!

Are they strong enough to remove chits from punch boards? That’s basically what needs to happen the first time for each piece.

9 scenarios I think.
As soon as you said “one and done” I was done.
Pass.
I totally get that.
