You have me doing a walk through - I have:
*Among 1st 2 to be booted from their tribe before merge* - Jenny, Lydia, Maryanne (2nd on Taku is hard to predict), and Tori (Romea in 1st 2 on Ika).
*Of the remaining 5,* 3 will be viewed as a challenge threat ahead of most men (Chanelle, Lindsay, Drea) so they will need to get into the majority alliance with some shields.
*Of the remaining 2,* Marya will need to contain her weirdness long enough to make it to merger, Swati is a young lamb to the slaughter.
Among the men:
*Among 1st 2 to be booted from their tribe before merge* - Romeo, no idea of 2nd on Taku (leaning toward Jackson or Marya).
*Jonathan* - will be viewed as too big a threat, and I don't think he is savvy enough to pull off playing the middle between 2 alliances.
*Hai* - will be looking to flip, great for making final 3 but not good for winning.
*Mike* - will be playing old school stick by your alliance, not good with 3 tribes.
*Zach* - should be in the middle, strong enough to make it to merger, but not viewed as a threat, however I think the kiddies will be lambs to the slaughter this season.
*Rocksroy* - no idea, for a while I suspected he might be a CGI cast member.
I don't have a good feel for how *Jackson and Omar* will be received by other cast, but I don't think it will likely be favorable.
*Daniel* - a Yale law school graduate is more savvy than he has let on.
*Yes,* aside from Jonathan, I do think the top 3 women will do much better than the men in challenges.
I think survivor fans want so badly for women to do better to make up for such a low win rate for women.

Although Jonathan might end up being a meat shield I still think he's a force to be reckoned with! This cast is very solid!
Absolutely - he looks like a man surrounded by children in the photos. Unfortunately I don't think he realizes that aside from immunity almost every tribal council, his only real chance to the final 3 is to play the middle, putting "Allies" into position to lose their majority at the next TC without him.
Hopefully first boot or Daniel/Zac/Mike
Tori is giving some strong Angelina vibes. Wonder how she is at negotiation.
I like Daniel's enthusiasm and response of why he will win. Not sure where he will end up but let's see!

I think he is blowing a lot of smoke - Yale law school grads and longtime fans aren't going to be as lost in the game as he presents. I do think he is the most realistic of his chances which will keep him grounded. I do hope he at least makes the jury so we might have at least 1 juror who isn't narcissist throwing a rant because he didn't make the final 3.
I like that he's self-aware about the glaring architypes that casting boxed him in and that fact that it annoys people/makes him a threat.

I think she will need her tribe to get out to a fast start so she can sit out challenges, or have Jackson or Marya to be poorly received by their tribe mates - I don't see Jonathan or Lindsay hanging onto challenge dead weight, I think Omar will play strategic enough to vote off challenge dead weight early.
I also think Maryanne will find the conditions much harsher than she expected, and I think all the kiddies will be lambs to the slaughter this year.
Why is no one talking about Omar? He seems like a fun guy that could go far. Rooting for him!

cagayan and 41 both had good casts but the difference is how far the good characters made it
in cagayan the final 4 were the best 4 characters
in 41 a lot of the best characters lost pre merge
but 42 seems to have a better cast to where in most scenarios its gonna be a great season

Cast is already more likeable than 41
hold up. earlier i was made fun of for thinking this was shot on location with a bad camera because "that is an obvious zoom background." no, this was on location LMAO the background changes time of day. when you can see the chair the players are on, it is all the same chair. these are not webcam videos they recorded prior. this was on location. that is why the camera quality is consistent and the background changes throughout different interviews.
just had to say that LMAO i am very excited to see this group play :)

I don't think others are nearly as impressed with Jenny as she is with herself.
Jonathan would need to play the middle post merge to make it to the end, but I don't think he is savvy enough for that.
I have Tori and Romeo as the 1st 2 boots from their tribe.
I think Mike has an old school mentality of being loyal to your alliance which won't work well with 3 tribes, plus he is on a tribe with Hai who suggested he is looking to flip post merger.
No idea on Rocksroy.
@@1SCme great assessment. Jenny has a nice way of speaking- and when she smiles it softens her. She was my 1-2nd boot originally- hope she makes merge.

@@salemgrace9444 I think when we see Jenny actually interact with others, she won't be nearly as likable - the stress of the game will bring out her NY designer attitude. My take on 41 is that most of the adults and more interesting cast were booted early, leaving us with an emotionally immature group at the final 11 with enough emotional baggage to fill a boxcar.

*Jonathan* - when you're that far ahead of the others physically, you really need to play the middle post merger, forcing you allies to keep you to stay in the majority at the next TC, but I don't think Jonathan is savvy enough for this.
*Tori* - said people's 1st impressions of her are bad, I have her as 1 of 1st 2 boots from her tribe.
*Jackson* - I have Jackson and Marya trying not to be among the 1st 2 booted from their tribe (I have Maryanne 1st).
*Daniel* - I think he is blowing smoke, but a false sense of modesty is better than no modesty... a Yale law school grad is much more savvy than he lets on.

bruh people who say “i read how to win friends and influence people” are missing the point. you’re not supposed to win friends, you can just... MAKE friends.
Plus lots of cast read the same books - the reason the show has to have so many twists is because the cast isn't smart enough to come up with original gameplay, like basing their game on "The Art of War"

I disliked it because it was a no brainer - swing a hammer, get immunity. Unless every single person I was removing immunity from was an ally or had an immunity idol, I would have swung before Jeff left after getting dropped off, otherwise by the next morning it would have been beaten back into sand just to make sure there was no doubt.

Joanthan, Lindsey, Chanelle, Hai, Drea - except for Jonathan who is in a league of his own physically, the women will dominate the challenges this season.
This show has dropped off significantly. Season 40 was the end.

East asian women always disappoint me. Often stereotyped as weaker/passive player most of them just went there not doing much and end up pre-merge boots. Rather go for other asian types like Natalie Anderson and recently Erica Casupanan.
