God led me to this video. I am in the middle of being so angry at someone and battling with wrath. This just saved me from blowing up and spewing out all the words I wanted to say. God is good. Thank you so much for this. ❤
I'm so happy you found restraint. By the grace of God, I am swiftly finding it. I used to bottle up anger and then blow up. No more. The anger barely has time to surface before it's gone, passed over into nothingness. If it even forms at all. This is a gift from God. ❤
Silence stops the gaslighting. Unless you want to bring that out..which I do sometimes honestly. The world needs to be confronted for its argumentative nature. I am reminded that in 2024 kids are bullied and hurt by Silence. While I love Spurgeon sermons and for me this sermon is clear. Still the change corrupts what God made pure. Younger people take words to heart and destroy the mind. Silence of course is better as I age. I always want to be aware of what others are experiencing. Silence is most useful but sometimes younger people need support. Kids can be cruel. My friend had a child bullied who committed suicide. Be cautious with words. Silent. Speak when necessary. It may have saved this young person's life. There are times when the "lie" is busy useing words to destroy people. Truly, Spurgeon is write when we are communicating with our savior and our lives. I'm afraid 2024 is different from the 1800s God has not changed. People and the "lie"fight against us. There is a time for everything. Speak to save and assist. Snuff out "new thinking" with truth. Silence helps us reflect in most areas. There is a place an adult can speak the truths to a younger generation.
AMEN!!! One thing I'm learning on this front is the more I read the Bible and pray, the more I learn to recognize which voice is God's and not my own or the enemy's. This sermon on silence is something I was NEVER taught or modelled. It's incredibly truthful and necessary.
Beautiful and much needed, we are in troubling times, and words can be easily spoken And felt to be justified when silence is needed. lord, help me to know when to be silent, and when words are needed, let them be words of wisdom and not spoken out of anger.
May The LORD bless all that you put your hands to... And may it all be for His Glory and Honor in Christ Jesus's Name The Lord Jesus Christ has delivered me from drug addiction, homelessness, abusive relationships, evil spirits (yes they're real) , sexual immorality, swearing, lying, stealing, laziness.. and even more. I give all the glory to Him. All praise and worship belong to God. He is real. He is bigger than any problem you face. He will meet you where you are at. Even right now. (Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon The Name of The Lord shall be saved. The LORD is still fighting my battles for me and He will for you also. Keep strong in The Lord. Jesus Christ is LORD to The Glory of God The Father. I bless every reader of this comment in The Name of Jesus Christ
This is a very good message, thankyou and for those who call it fake and not from Spurgeon, does it really matter, the teaching is excellent and we all need to hear it because it's truth
Working with this at the moment. The Holy Spirit gives a nudge, when I need to be silent, before responding to someone. Saves many hurts and misunderstandings! Thank you!
I began, what I call Practicing Silence" last year. People become very quiet and even sweat a little. I can hear their discomfort when they ask, " Are you still there?" Yes, I am pondering on what you just said. Try it.
I do not care if the author is anonymous bc this is a very good message of advice to take or leave due to our free will. I freely agree with the majority of this information so choose to take it with gratitude. I have made a personal choice over a year ago to listen more & speak less. So far my life is better. Yet, enjoy your free will as you choose with gratitude for your free will.
Unfortunately in this day and time, there are very few people who understand our silence as being strength, especially within the church. We have a horrible slander within our church who is damaged or actually destroying reputations and it is so hard to remain silent when you see her taking aim at you. I thought of some very pointed words that I could use to her, but every time I go over this in my mind, I hear the Lord tell me - no don’t do this. He’s helping me to see that I should really feel sorry for her because obviously, she doesn’t have him as her savior.
She may know & have Him as her savior bc we ALL have some human weaknesses as there is not one that is “good” as it is written. So it sounds as though your sister in Christ, at this time, needs prayers from her church family if she has one. Where two or more ask a thing in faith, it will be answered. I understand bc I have faced the same problem, spoke with my late Dad bc it was hindering my listening to the sermon. Dad explained to me that in every successful church, the devil will show up for every service; if he doesn’t his work there is finished (he is already in control). Now in my sixties after many hardships that have given me patience, I can’t see well enough to drive, so am almost housebound. When vision permits, He helps me to help others online bc I have mobility issues with pain now too. THAT teaches patience and I have lowered my bar on my housekeeping as well LoL! Usually home alone, perhaps vision loss is a blessing bc I can’t imagine how much dust & spiders are overseen by me now HAHA! GBU Sis; I just wanted to share some understanding, experience and most of all, some love.
P. S. Thank you for listening to the Lord & resisting her bait. In a perfect world everyone would, so she would feel awful once shunned & have to stop. One person can’t gossip alone. (Food for thought) Goodnight♥️
@@crystalbelle2349 Just wanted to say it was a good laugh for me to read your comment about vision loss and not being able to see the dust or spider webs.. 🤗✝️ Thank you very much. I got mad when somebody called me a racist, white supremacy. We were more white people with slaves in America. We are slaves and all European nations hunted down and called the races white supremacy. We are abusing every imaginable rap, and our children are being raped to death and killed. Please forgive me Jesus for losing my temper, because I don’t wanna be that kind of person thank you very much for this video. It helped me a lot.🌹
Years ago a panel of leaders of an association took call-in questions and comments. When one of the most intelligent and eloquent members responded, he was accused of being a white supremicist. His response elicited roaring laughter and cheering. It began: As a black man, I am seldom accused of white supremacy. Truly , I am not, yet my response remains. Name calling is a typical response of one discovering error in their argument. Usually one that is quite obvious to everyone but themselves.
Don’t worry, everyone-White, Black, Asian, Latino, Native American, Aborigine, and whoever else I missed-is racist, on some level. Racism is just another form of tribalism. We are all tribalistic. It’s part of the sin nature. All are sinners, remember? 😂 Our only hope is to study the Bible and memorize Scripture more, and to ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse our hearts from the evils of our flesh. Remember, that in Heaven, no one will ever accuse you!!! The love in Heaven is unimaginable!! 🙏🏾🔥🥰
We are humans. Made and loved by God. Racism is extremely painful and crippling. I do pray we have enough intelligence to propaganda and greed is behind impoverishing us of even having friends! We're supposed to love each other and enjoy each others different cultures. I love diversity. That's SO Godlike
Silence can also be complicity seen as agreement. It also says rebuke your neighbour frankly so you do not participate in their sin .but Jesus knew Fathers plan didnt he ??
I think this is where discernment comes into play. If you are initially silent you may spend that time thinking whether you are the right person to deliver the rebuke, how it is going to be most effective if you are, and what are the likely consequences and follow up. Initial silence doesn't necessarily mean permanent silence, it may mean thoughtful consideration and a chance for God to weigh in with his opinion.
