📺🔥 thank you both , l could relate with you Claire about falling when your older , when l was 49 working in childcare l had a young toddler in my arms when l slipped on dry sand, l took the full force of the fall being con-chance that the child was safe. as for games we enjoyed boggle, trouble, mouse trap, game of life, Monopoly and card game uno. our xmas tree is a pop up tree we already decorated, before that i use to find a dead branch paint it then place the branch in a pot and hang ornaments, lights ect that was a good way to spend a day. wishing you both a merry christmas.🎄
Hi Claire & Gary were you trying to say haberdashery? 😂😂 wishing you both a lovely Christmas 🎄 I hope a few more Xmas natters. I don’t wash much tv lately 🙄 like a good book 📖 xxxx
I just love you 2 your such an amazing and friendly and loving couple you've kept me company over this last week while I've been poorly and isolating - thank you so much for your friendship I love you ❤❤xx
Hi Claire and Gary, wishing you a merry Christmas. Lovely natter. A real tree you can buy a potted one and have it in your garden when not in the house and use it year on year.
I'm in a bit of a unique position where I've had a baby a decade. So I've had a baby in my 20s, one in my 30s and I've just had another baby at 40. I definitely found having a baby in my 20s more difficult because of lack of experience, life skills. Relied way too much on books rather than my own intuition! Physically though the toll on my body this time in my 40s was harder and I took longer to recover but that probably was down to me and my baby having sepsis and having to go through a cesarean section which I've never had before! My babies have also got progressively more easy going. My first was a lot of hard work, hardly slept. My second slept through within a week and again my 3rd baby has been brilliant with sleeping and she hardly cries! Caring for each child is different as they are all in different life stages. But I'm definitely appreciating every stage of babyhood this time around more than I ever have before as I know this is my last baby. I love being a mother and to have a baby again after my first one was born 17 years ago is a gift! I also trust myself and my choices for them so much more. I hardly look at books or magazines to tell me what I should do, I just go by each individual child and use my intuition! So basically there are advantages and disadvantages of rearing children younger and older. Sometimes it due to circumstances or choice what happens to each woman. We should all embrace where we all are individually. I don't regret my choices at all as I've had time to pour into each child as the next child up is always slightly older. They've all had my time and individual attention and I appreciate having that time with them. I think everyone should do whats right for them. There is no wrong or right way to have children! Its a very personal journey unique to each individual ❤
Reading 50 pages is not to be sneezed at Gary 😂 I would be very pleased with myself to read 50 pages in one sitting. I too am one for going back and forth in books to connect characters, plots, clues etc. Can be slow, can be annoying but also can be part of the fun of reading 📚 🤓
Claire your hair looks lovely taken up/ back. Suits you.❤ Enjoyed the natter❤.I have not viewed Emerdale for 25 years. East enders never. Like you very rare viewing now of tv. I like programmes of history. Or new technologies. Monopoly, connect4, cluedo. Card games. Dominoes. Menopause sucks.I think the xmas trees get collected by the council & shredded & used for ground cover. We have a xmas tree farm along the lane new trees are planted regularly. Real trees are lovely❤ Our ancestors had glass decorations or natural as you say foraging for wreaths etc.
On average, a woman goes through hormonal chaos for around 35-40 years of their life. That’s a lot ! I had my kids at 30 & 33. Each to their own & everyone has their own path, but I’m glad I wasn’t any older when I had them. I just wouldn’t have had the energy and stamina to keep up with them. Having them at any age has its challenges, but I can’t imagine coping if I had them in my 40’s. Hats off to parents that do have them at that age.
I had mt two children when I was 21/22 now I have four grandchildren . I’ve looked after my youngest grandchild since a baby . Due to mum going back to work . Now in January little Amelia will be going to nursery at age 3 . It’s been so hard as I have 4 illnesses . Be nice to have some time to myself .But they are all my world . I live on my own now . Funny how life is . Merry Christmas mr Mrs Thackeray 🎄💫💕👑👑
I'm finding December is going quite quick like most months so I'm trying to enjoy it but I am not finding it overly Christmas-like tbh ☹️🎄 I attended a concert with a Brass Band last night which was lovely though and I am attending a carol service next weekend so little things like that may help get me in the Christmas spirit I hope 🎶 🔔 🎀
Love these chats ❤️❤️Xx peri menopause started about 36 for me, fluctuating hormones, mine ended 5.2, the worst symptoms were in mid 50s weird symptoms burning mouth syndrome didn't expect that. I look after my 3yr old grandson I'm late 50s now and it can be exhausting. Everyones different. 🥰
I loved being a young mum.. As a midwife iv looked after alot of young mums and older mums.. Alot of friends became grandmother's young, and alot look after their grandchild while mum went back to work.. We don't watch the BBC, we don't have a licence haven't had one for over 4 years now... Love a board game just got a new one grandmothers knickers blew away 🤣 we have game nights, we got silly sausage, cludo, monopoly. And lots more.. We end up having a real laugh. Iv just finished reading the Harry Potter books again.. Love them.. And I'm starting the twighlight books over Christmas... ❤You vlogs you 2 are lovely thankyou x
Hiya Claire. I've heard you mention tarot a few times now. Have you ever talked about tarot in a video before? If not, would you consider making a video(s) discussing how you got into tarot, what it means to you and potential benefits of that whole field etc. Just a thought...... Thanks 😊
Hiya! Here is the link to my tarot channel youtube.com/@clairethackraytarot?si=fCyCkEzZ0lU52rp8 there are videos on there where I talk about my journey. They can be found in the play lists xxx

Forgot to say I also have had early menopause.

I read to enjoy and takeas much time as needed to think about it and be in it is time consuming so a book club probably wouldn't work for me lol 😂😂
🔥📺
I enjoyed your quizzes. Are you planning to do more?

Thank you so much for thinking about sustainability at Christmas. Also love that you are stepping back from mainstream telly and other things ❤
“Oestrogen Matters” a great book - addresses the flaws in the Women’s health initiative and the negative myths around hrt.
