  • Here is a view of the fall armyworm baculovirus particles, called occlusion bodies (OBs), under the microscope. The shaky yellow dots are the OBs. If you watch the top right corner, you will see a potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution slowly dissolving the OBs into dark shadows. This is how researchers can confirm baculovirus infection in a deceased fall armyworm.
