I’m surprised Bash n’ Cash isn’t mentioned for Mario Party 1. If you want to see unfairness for the solo player, Bash n’ Cash is the most scary for any solo player. Being held tight in a circular arena as a massive bowser avoiding being beaten into bankruptcy by the trio’s mallets has been one of the most scariest of things. The only way of defense you have other than running is a jump, which has a cooldown after being used. This minigame can legit bring your coin count from 100 to 0. And by the way, a well timed mallet swing can hit you while in the middle of jumping or landing.
Oh and not to mention, the trio aren’t even working together in this minigame. It’s a first come first serve as to whoever can catch the coin bags bouncing around before someone else does. If you don’t catch any coin bags before your teammates, then it sucks to be you. No coins for you. This game is basically a free-for-all in disguise with the solo player being the most unfortunate. Also here’s the the best part, if the solo player outsmarts and outmaneuvers the trio, they receive *absolutely nothing* from it. The only reward they get is that they don’t lose their coins. Just imagine, having to use up a whole turn to get no reward for winning the minigame other than your coins aren’t being taken. Now that’s purely unfair.
Yeah, why isn’t Slot Car Derby on here? The computers never mess up, even on the easiest difficulty. It’s complete bullshit. I only managed to win this year and I’ve owned the game for *14 years.*
@@AlbertBoris But if Cheep Cheep Chance, which is exactly the same premise, just with a different skin on a different game, is on here, then why exclude, or just not mention, all the other games with the same premise?
My personal picks: *Mario Party 2:* *Abandon Ship (4P):* A race to the top of a sinking pirate ship. Except it's quite a broken minigame that was clearly never tested properly and it shows. Cheep Cheeps jump out at you which are pretty much impossible to avoid, and at the end for some reason you can lose speed (unless you really button mash) allowing another player to swipe in and steal the win from you. *Roll Call (4P):* Count how many Toads, Boos, or Bob-ombs are on the field. Except this can be quite a difficult task as they run around everywhere (there's a few fakes sometimes but still), essentially making it pretty much random. This is one of those minigames that I can pretty much count on losing for exactly this reason. *Archer-ival (1-vs-3):* The team of three are picture panel targets that slide around, and the solo player has to shoot at them. The NPC Toad, Boo and Baby Bowser targets (as well as fellow teammates) can easily back the three players onto a side of the target board to where they are unable to get out, giving the solo player a guaranteed step to victory. The targets also move slowly meaning the solo player is overall guaranteed to win. *Mecha-Marathon (4P):* Wind up a Mecha Fly Guy and send it as far as you can. Except the required input of mashing A and B at the same time is not intuitive meaning you're likely to lose unless you have serious two-button mashing skills. *Mario Party 3:* *Tidal Toss (1-vs-3):* The solo player stands in a boat and makes waves, which the team of three has to jump over to survive. The solo player has an extra mechanic which allows them to ground pound to make larger waves that are mostly unavoidable. Because of this the solo player is pretty much guaranteed to win unless the team of three all has uber reflexes. *M.P.I.Q. (4P):* Answer quiz questions about the game correctly 3 times to win. Except most of the questions are random and not stuff you would remember off the top of your head (such as what time you currently have in a certain minigame). If you get this one, pretty much expect to lose. *Curtain Call (4P):* Memorize the order of Goombas, Koopas, and Boos on the stage and answer the question Toad asks correctly. The questions Toad asks can tend to trip up your memory quite a bit (such as "Who was the fourth one from the right?" in a lineup of five characters). In a nutshell, more brain use than you would think is required on this one. *Stacked Deck (Battle):* Another luck-based minigame. Flip a card and hope it's right. *Game Guy minigames:* Land on a Game Guy space and you're forced to gamble all your coins and play one of these. Should you lose, all your coins will be gone and you'll have to start from scratch again. *Mario Party DS:* *Trace Cadets (4P/Duel):* Draw every shape on the grid to win. Except it's quite finicky in that it won't recognize even the most accurate of shape drawings half of the time. Your lines need to be absolutely perfect in order for the minigame to recognize the shape and count it. I eventually got this one down and didn't find it too hard after a while but seeing as this is not the only comment talking about it I had to mention it. *Power Washers (1-vs-3):* The solo player controls two hoses which the team of three must run and jump around on a plate to avoid. The solo player can easily mix up their directions at any time throwing the three players off. After the second hose comes on, it can be quite difficult for the three players to survive meaning the solo player is likely to win. *Short Fuse (Battle):* Avoid blowing up the giant Bowser bomb to win. There is some degree of skill in that players can deliberately blow on the fuse harder to ensure it's just tiny enough that their opponent gets eliminated, but otherwise it's pretty much luck.
My picks for Mario Party 8: *Cut from the team(Free-for-all)*: This is a HIGHLY luck based game in which you can almost GUARANTEE your loss. It is really unfair and I have NEVER won the game EVER. *Flip the chimp(Free-for-all)*: This game is really hard to beat even on easy mode because of the stupid motion controls. It took me an entire YEAR to be able to even win a SINGLE game! I struggle with it to this day! *Ion the champion(1v1)* I chose this because of its chaos. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get 100% perfect and hard to win. Especially During the last five seconds. My picks for Mario Party 9: Now, this is one of the easier ones of the series, but there is 1 minigame that is difficult for me: *That rock climbing game that I forgot the name of(free-for-all)* I like to speedrun this and I always fumble the controls. That is it. I have no more guesses.
You forgot Roll Call, Bob-omb Barrage, Coconut Conk, Blame it on the Crane, Big Top Drop, Curvy Curbs, Beam Team, Ray of Fright, Conveyor Bolt, Spray Anything, Battery Ram, Cut from the Team, Trace Cadets and Smash and Crab.
I actually found Blame it on the crane one of the more balanced 1 v 3 games in MP4. The 1 v 3 minigames in that game are trash, which is sad because I find the game has the best overall minigames in the franchise. Blame it on the crane is one of the better ones for me though for 1 v 3, compared to candlelight flight (horrible controls), makin waves (weighted heavily towards the one), gooooaaaaal (bad controls for the 3), fish n drips (most lopsided game) and hide and go boom (practically luck based). Tree stomp is ok but weighted towards the 3, money belts is ok (weighted toward the 1, and I am not a fan of cash games), Hop or pop is my favorite because it controls well for both sides, and at least for me feels pretty balanced and rewards skill. Blame it on the crane is some where between 2nd and 4th favorite
I'm surprised you missed all four of the most unfair 1 vs. 3 games: Big Top Drop and Curvy Curbs from MP5 and Ray of Fright and Crate & Peril from MP6.
Another rage inducing random game from Mario Party 5 is the duel game ‘Get A Rope’. Ah, yes. The computer won my star because it... picked a rope correctly. Got it. FABULOUS.
I love how everyone else's opinions are completely different from this list lol. If I made a list like this, it would be filled with mostly luck based mini games... but there's also the rocket launch one from 9 and the tug of war one from super.
the HARDEST one for Super Mario Party is definitely the stupid tennis one, the 1 player has the biggest racket and the 3 others have such small ones, i’ve never won on the team of 3

The pipe maze minigame from Mario Party 1 isn't even luck based. It's unfair because if you're good at pathing and you're the 1, you basically choose to win. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the 1.
@@nekonomicon2983 that is true. However, once you train yourself to be able to follow the web fast enough, it's only a game of chance/manipulation afterwards.
I found impossible to win the swimming mini-game in Mario Party Advance. You have to reboost the little fish's motivation. An other one on Mario Party 3 a 2 vs 2 one player must to pump and one player must to spray water. I never won this mini-game.
Disagree with Boulder Ball in MP3. It’s very easy for the 3 players. If you run behind a player that got hit, it will prevent them from moving back. Once you get halfway up, it’s all but a guaranteed victory. Credit to ZoomZike for this tip btw.
Here's a tip on how to win Messy Memory: If you relate the objects to an auditory cue, you'll remember it better. I know this because in a show I used to watch called Brain Games, they had a game that's very similar in idea to it.
I see the trend... 1 v 3 minigames are constantly unbalanced Also, you didn't mention that the Star Rush minigame Shooting Stars sometime just decides to give a player like 40 auto balls and it is hilariously unfair lol
World 7 in Mini-Game Coaster in Mario Party 2 is hard, and Abandon Ship is hard to pull off a win. Shock, Drop or Roll is easy in my opinion as the team of three when you can just keep jumping on the cyclinder through the mini-game. The solo part of that game is difficult though. Each of us have our own opinions of our own experiences playing these mini-games through the series and while a mini-game or two is hard for one person or more, it can be easy for others.
Video idea: hardest mini games in every Mario Party game 2 Skateboard Scamper is one of the hardest mini games in both Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 2. Skateboard Scamper is hard to win because of the thwomps slowing you down or knocking you into the lava eliminating you. Skateboard Scamper is especially hard in Mario Party 2 due to all of the jumps slowing you down. Mecha Marathon is an unfair mini game in Mario Party 2. The ai fly guy flies further than the human player fly guy. Toughest 1 vs 3 mini game in Mario Party 1 is Piranha Pursuit. It is especially tough if you are in the 3 player team on the cloud. The ai always beats the piranha plant and times his jumps. Bash n Cash is especially tough if you are the solo player. Crane Game is almost impossible to win in Mario Party 2 if you are in the 3 player team. The player has an advantage by picking up the clocks adding to the timer making it a lot easier for the 3 player team to lose the mini game.
I loved 10 to win!!!! You could follow the high value cards by keeping your eyes on them when they move around. This was not random! Love your videos btw
Shock, Drop and Roll is winnable if you are the group of 3. In fact, if you play close to perfectly, the "1" can't do anything about it. I'd say it's one of the best balanced 1v3 minigames for this reason.
@@beta511ee4 Okay, let me explain. With low skill level on both sides, it's easier for the 1 to win, and with high skill level, it becomes easier for the 3. However. It's true that if the 3 does absolutely perfectly, they win. But what "perfect" means largely also depends on the "1", he/she can make the difficulty really high for the 3 if he/she makes hard patterns and tricks. So the 3 has a slight edge, and if both sides play perfectly, the 3 always wins, but it's generally easier to play for the 1. In my experience we have around 50% win rate, which is rare in a 1v3 game in Mario Party. This is why I said it's one of the most balanced.
@@Akikai.2 the coms know exactly when the chomp goes out they just choose to lose if you haven't but you will because the freaking delay is long enough that there's no time to react, you literally have to guess, or play it careful (which is too slow). Wait- For a Mario Party 5 minigame, of all the 1-vs-3 games that exist... Squared Away over stuff like Heat Stroke and Curvy Curbs?? Interesting I guess
For the shock, drop and roll one some people have figured out for the 3 man team is if you constantly jump at the top of the roller you can mitigate a lot of the player one's influence and you have enough time in the jump animation to react to the changes so just jump a lot on that game.
Copycat: Shock Drop or Roll, which is specifically hard for the team of three. That's because the solo player is in control of a giant turbine, and all they have to do is to mix the speeds effectively, knocking the other team off. ZoomZike: Sadly this minigame is not in the solo player's favour if any of the three player's knows this trick. The trick is to stay in the air as much as possible, so you aren't effected by the turbine nearly as much.
What about the minigames in Mario Party 1 that required you to rotate the analog stick quickly? Either you have more control and damage your hand or you have less control and use your thumb.
I'm surprised u didn't put the hide and sneak minigame down for MP3. While u sometimes can determine where a player went due to the movements before the curtain drops it usually changes character's positions last second. I think it's a lot worse than boulder ball. Tbh I don't think I've ever lost a game of boulder ball as a team, and I've only lost as the rock thrower a couple times. Still rlly love this list though haha
No offense, but Stake your claim seems like one of the least unfair minigames. I've played all of them, and the majority of them end up either being 1) Button/motion spamming 2) Luck 3) Rumble Honestly, I'm not sure if it's just super mario party's minigames that i don't like or if i don't like the series in general.

I forget the name, but there is a free for all game on Mario Party DS where you spin on the touch screen to throw a cherry. You can almost never beat the computer, even when they are on easy. Same with the one where you slide down the rail on a leaf
The most difficult mini game for me, I will forever remember having been in Mario Party 1. It was that minigame where you have to fish coins and treasure chests from the ocean, which were moving. I remember it so vividly because it was in Minigame Island. I think you had to get more coins than any other player and I just couldn't get the game right... it was so hard to aim right and even when I managed to aim, to get the coin or treasure chest to your character, you had to rotate the analog stick! That was impossible to do fast enough with three NPCs set on hard without using your palm, so I played this minigame so much that I burned my palm... just because of the dumb rotating. I know why they got rid of the rotating starting Mario Party 2, my palm probably wasn't the only one getting hurt because of a stupid hard minigame that used that feature.
@@cryinglightningxoxo It is soooo hard! I never want to do it again. I can't even, because my copy of Mario Party isn't in my possession anymore, but still... The AIs are far too good and that minigame is surprisingly hard to master.

Pfff Platform Peril is one of the easiest of MP1...
Yeah, why isn’t Slot Car Derby on here? The computers never mess up, even on the easiest difficulty. It’s complete bullshit. I only managed to win this year and I’ve owned the game for *14 years.*
I expected Bash n Cash or whatever its called
@@thegoldencoin2176 Yeah same.
@@FiveFoxesInATrenchcoat Truely true.
I'm surprised they Cut From the Team from 8 wasn't mentioned. It's completely luck based.
But that doesn't translate to unfair
@@AlbertBoris Of course it does. If your skill doesn't matter and the winner is picked simply by sheer luck, I'd call that unfair.
@@silvershamrocknovelties5723 Except it's unfair to everyone..., which is another way of saying it isn't unfair
@@AlbertBoris But if Cheep Cheep Chance, which is exactly the same premise, just with a different skin on a different game, is on here, then why exclude, or just not mention, all the other games with the same premise?
@@14akamaru I can't answer that. You have to ask the creator of the video that. To me personally, all RNG minigames are equally fair
My personal picks:
*Mario Party 2:*
*Abandon Ship (4P):* A race to the top of a sinking pirate ship.
*Mario Party 3:*
*Tidal Toss (1-vs-3):* The solo player stands in a boat and makes waves, which the team of three has to jump over to survive.
*Mario Party DS:*
*Trace Cadets (4P/Duel):* Draw every shape on the grid to win.
My picks for Mario Party 8:
*Cut from the team(Free-for-all)*: This is a HIGHLY luck based game in which you can almost GUARANTEE your loss.
My picks for Mario Party 9:
Now, this is one of the easier ones of the series, but there is 1 minigame that is difficult for me:
*That rock climbing game that I forgot the name of(free-for-all)* I like to speedrun this and I always fumble the controls.
@@brettdeluca6253 I see what you mean. Some of the 1 v 3 minigames in Mario Party 4 can be unfair at times.
And flip the chimp
@@Akikai.2 Oh yeah, that too. I didn't like that minigame that much.
I'm surprised you missed all four of the most unfair 1 vs. 3 games: Big Top Drop and Curvy Curbs from MP5 and Ray of Fright and Crate & Peril from MP6.
Excuse me??? Where is In The Nick Of Time?? Where is Flip The Chimp???
WHERE IS CUT FROM THE TEAM!?!?!?
no seriously I NEVER played that minigame it was so infuriating
Another rage inducing random game from Mario Party 5 is the duel game ‘Get A Rope’. Ah, yes. The computer won my star because it... picked a rope correctly. Got it. FABULOUS.
Cut from the team is similar
only its from mp8
I swear, all these minigames have such weird names. References to pandemics, Biblical iconography, and well-known horror media.
What are some minigames that reference to pandemics?
On Mario Party DS, the game Get The Lead out is basically impossible if the computers are on expert mode
I love how everyone else's opinions are completely different from this list lol. If I made a list like this, it would be filled with mostly luck based mini games... but there's also the rocket launch one from 9 and the tug of war one from super.
Mashing on joy cons. Do I need to say more
the HARDEST one for Super Mario Party is definitely the stupid tennis one, the 1 player has the biggest racket and the 3 others have such small ones, i’ve never won on the team of 3
Whenever I'd just get to trash shoot I'd just press a and drop in the ground because it was rng.

The pipe maze minigame from Mario Party 1 isn't even luck based. It's unfair because if you're good at pathing and you're the 1, you basically choose to win. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the 1.
It is pretty fast so the 1 player has to have some really good eyes
@@nekonomicon2983 that is true. However, once you train yourself to be able to follow the web fast enough, it's only a game of chance/manipulation afterwards.
You said Mario party DS came out the same year as Mario party 7 did you mean Mario party 8
I found impossible to win the swimming mini-game in Mario Party Advance. You have to reboost the little fish's motivation. An other one on Mario Party 3 a 2 vs 2 one player must to pump and one player must to spray water. I never won this mini-game.
Cut from the team(mp8) Is 1000000000% worthy of being on this list.
The drumming 1 v 3 in Mario Party 10 is literally impossible to lose as the controller
Yay! Another upload!
Disagree with Boulder Ball in MP3. It’s very easy for the 3 players. If you run behind a player that got hit, it will prevent them from moving back. Once you get halfway up, it’s all but a guaranteed victory. Credit to ZoomZike for this tip btw.
also you called the battle minigames duel minigames-
I'm disappointed rotisserie rampage from Ds wasn't even mentioned. It's literally a remake of shock, drop, and roll!
"Platform Pearl"
Here's a tip on how to win Messy Memory:
If you relate the objects to an auditory cue, you'll remember it better. I know this because in a show I used to watch called Brain Games, they had a game that's very similar in idea to it.
1:08 technically it was released in December 18, 1998 but only in Japan. It was later released in North America on February 8, 1999
I see the trend... 1 v 3 minigames are constantly unbalanced
Also, you didn't mention that the Star Rush minigame Shooting Stars sometime just decides to give a player like 40 auto balls and it is hilariously unfair lol
Mario Party 6 is my favorite. I grew up playing that. 6, 8, 9, DS and The switch are the only Mario Party games I’ve played.
I'm sorry but the hardest mario party minigame in history is
TRACE CADETS!!!!! On Mario Party DS
NO CUT FROM THE TEAM
How did you not mention mecha marathon??? That was the hardest game in 2 way harder than honeycomb havoc
You mentioned Merry-go-Chomp due to pure luck, can't forget to comment Cut From the Team (8) and Stacked Deck (3).
CUT FROM THE TEAM IS THE MOST INFURIATING MINIGAME OF MARIO PARTY HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Video idea: hardest mini games in every Mario Party game 2
Skateboard Scamper is one of the hardest mini games in both Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 2. The player has an advantage by picking up the clocks adding to the timer making it a lot easier for the 3 player team to lose the mini game.
why aren't you including 2v2 minigames?
Feels nice to be early for the video repost!!
Best? Wouldn’t that make it one of the worst?
@@19Szabolcs91 Any possible counterplay?
there was this mario party 8 minigame called "cut from the team" that was completely luck-based and used to give me so much anxiety while playing it
Day at the races also has a clear loser in thwomp and sneak and snore is impossible
There’s also an energy variable
Me: Are you sure about that??
I was talking about sneak and snore
@@Akikai.2 the coms know exactly when the chomp goes out they just choose to lose if you haven't but you will because the freaking delay is long enough that there's no time to react, you literally have to guess, or play it careful (which is too slow). (I also played it on an online emulator so I guess that's my first issue).
Wait-
For a Mario Party 5 minigame, of all the 1-vs-3 games that exist...
Mario Party 1: Running of The bulb IS still The hardest for Me. Especially when You have The bulb and The 3 Others are ghosts
Its easy if your teammates know what their doing just punch the ghosts
Rail riders
Get the lead out
Trash landing
That minigame with the cherries
Short Fuse
That 1v3 minigame with the rubber ducks
Dust buddies
Those mini games even forced Nintendo to give away protective gloves
In Mario Party Superstars, I can’t decide. If anyone can help me, please do so.
Bash N Cash is the most unfair EVER
*makes a video about hardest mini games*
*proceeds to pick over half of them luck based*
I'm surprised u didn't put the hide and sneak minigame down for MP3.
The hide n seek game is just a straight up 75% chance the 1 player wins
No offense, but Stake your claim seems like one of the least unfair minigames. I've played all of them, and the majority of them end up either being
1) Button/motion spamming
2) Luck
3) Rumble
Honestly, I'm not sure if it's just super mario party's minigames that i don't like or if i don't like the series in general.
You got Pitifall's name wrong, it's quite a common mistake because you can almost never see the second i in the name.
Hearing the words "Slip Knot" in a Mario game wasn't something i thought would or could ever happen
I don't know why but I honestly love slip knot :0
Well... maybe because I always winn ;)
Just jump for shock drop and roll. Win every time
Whenever I played Shock Drop and Roll with my friends, they'd usually win as the team of three no matter what I did as the one.
Not a bad video, but could have improved a lot if you wouldn't have included any luck based games. Like duh, sure they are "hard/unfair" they are...luck based. So those picks were kinda pointless imo.
Honeycomb havoc is easier and gets easier the latter in you are and like in 1, crane game is also really bad
CUT FROM THE TEAM
If i have to be honest i hate all of them (also most of the ones not on the list)
LOL
Abandon Ship in Mario Party 2 is brutal. As is Crane Game.
Sorry to ruin the party but out of every single games, if humans played it and were NOT able to come back to life, which game would be the deadliest in your opinion?
I forget the name, but there is a free for all game on Mario Party DS where you spin on the touch screen to throw a cherry. You can almost never beat the computer, even when they are on easy. Same with the one where you slide down the rail on a leaf
Those were called Cherry-Go-Round and Rail Riders
Where’s that mechanical pencil game from party DS?
18:43 You Missed Mario Party: The Top 100
It's all minigames from previous games so there's no point.
I just replayed minigame island and I completely agree. I didn’t expect to get stuck on this one for as long as I did 🤣 so frustrating
@@cryinglightningxoxo It is soooo hard! I never want to do it again. I can't even, because my copy of Mario Party isn't in my possession anymore, but still...
The AIs are far too good and that minigame is surprisingly hard to master.
My hardest minigame was cut from the team in mp8. I NEARLY STOPPED PLAYING THE GAME BECAUSE OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17:52 ik you can't count mario party the top 100, but Star rush wasn't the last handhelt mario party game, it was the top 100
this list is dumb. its mostly RNG games. that doesnt make the games hard, it just adds a different element to the game
That shouldn’t invalidate them, especially when taking into account what he said in the beginning.
i just noticed that mario party is full of puns lol
Wasn’t a Mario party one mini game where you just beat up one guy and they can’t stop it
Sick and twisted is also hard for me!
Today I was just playing Mario kart Wii on the 50cc flower cup and on the first race when I was on the end of the last lap I got bombarded by 3 red shells one after the other then a blue shell and then 2 red shells followed by 1 last blue shell. What's really weird is that in 50cc getting hit by that many red shells is impossible and I'm pretty sure getting 2 blue shells is not possible. If you have any idea of what's happening please let me know
If you haven't done so. Watch zoomzikes videos on Mario party. He breaks down each mini game and how most aren't luck or how to best win
Honeycomb havoc is 10%skill 90%luck
Can I give 1 for the ds version. It's one battle minigame with the porker chips. Theres no skill at all and when ever I git it I just know I will git screwed
Shock drop and roll is hard for the player on the control panel. In that minigam, no one can make me fall from the platform.
Mario Party DS, let's go!
Also you should use proper punctuation and capitalization in the description.
I’m surprised that you forgot dust buddies in super Mario party ds
