      when running the self alignment function I got this error message "homing failed printer halted". I realized the nozzle kit was not pushing the limit switch. I manually pushed the switch but then head assembly has a small manufacturing defect, so the plastic cover was a bit depressed at the point where it was supposed to hit the switched. I added a small sliver of wood under the plastic cover and that did the trick

    Chuck I literally wake up Fridays looking forward to seeing what you have for me today. Irony, my NEO showed up last Thursday mostly due to; your recommendation and the fact I snatched it off Amazon, $70 off for $169. YES, I love this printer. I have an Ender 3 pro already, but this machine smokes it. I DID have an issue with the Z offset and had to do some serious playing to get it dialed in. I am also getting some stringing I am working my way through, but the printer rocks. Thanks for your advise and skills and tireless devotion to 3d printing. Thank God I found your video. I never would have been able to get this together by the manual. I think the manual is pretty poor. Without any experience, putting this together would have been just insanity. However, watching your video and pausing quite a bit, I finally got it together.
    I was just about to plug it in and do those final steps you mention but I don't know what I'm supposed to do before that? For example, how do I remove the build plate? Since this is my first printer, do I take that plastic off of it? I'm assuming it's only a protective sheet? I heard you mention something about finger oils on the plate...does that mean I should be wearing nitrile gloves when handling anything? Stuff like that isn't in the manual

    Thank you so much I learn through videos unlike books due to the print is way to light type set letters and difficult to see with needing my cataracts removed soon as I am able, it has so far taken me much more time due to my iPad is in another spot so had to go from my table to my recliner back and fourth. I am getting a lot of back pain for I have degenerative disc disease and takes me much longer to build assemble this type of product and now watching the rest of your video and see what else have to do like all those plug parts and checking to make sure everything is assembled correctly. So I purse and replay a lot for to get it right, so thank you so so much on the time you took to give us a good step by step tutorial awesome this is…So happy to find this video I liked and subscribed to your channel. 😊 BTW do you have step by step on hooking up my laptop or PC to this 3D 3 Neo printer? I’ve levelled the bed up numerous times incase this was the issue and made sure no cables were making contact with the bed wheel, I’ve used the needle that came with the printer. Ive now ordered some cleaning filament to see if I can cold pull whatever is blocking it up if it is a blockage. It’s honestly driving me nuts 😂

    Chep, I love your Fast 0.28, its my go to profile. But I have a problem with functional parts that need to fit together, and don't know where to look to adjust it. I have STLs for a Clay Extruder. The parts have fittings for specific metal parts. I find all the "Holes" to be too small. In fact I played with the Horizontal Hole setting and for the larger 1" size holes adding (subtracting) 0.35mm make a fitting part. The problem is since that is GLOBAL, say a 3mm screw hole is now way too big. It does not appear to have a percentage setting, just in mm. So, is it line width, or what other setting could I look at to prevent the "Holes" from shrinking. Thanks again!

    • @Drumaier
      @Drumaier Рік тому +1

      Did you solve it? you can try by doing a factory reset and start over.Then first auto home the printer, then move the Z axis via motion in menu, go slow in 0.1 increments and see what happens near zero because you will have to adjust the z offset in Motion menu until the Zero of the Z axis is when the nozzle is almos touching the bed. Then check the corners but go slowly in case the is a raised corner that can make contact with the nozzle. You might have know all this but just in case.

    • @arcticwolf1599
      @arcticwolf1599 Рік тому

      @Drumaier J managed to get a somewhat printable level it's not perfect but it did a 6 hrs print fine ... I tightened all screws to their max adjusted z to near the bed and just went around each corner with motor off and loosened them accordingly for each corner er u til I could moved the hot end around the whole bed without touching.
      Creality need to take ownership of that video and remove it because its really bad and a few other had the same issue

    • @Drumaier
      @Drumaier Рік тому

      @@arcticwolf1599 I partially agree with you. I think if you do what they do in the video right away (without using a different approach before) you shouldn't have that problem of nozzle going against the bed. But they would do a service to themselves and their clients if they to explain things more deeply, letting you know why and when to do this and that. Btw I recommend you to print and install the leveling wheels clips that you can download at Printables, they hold the wheels in place so they can't freely get loose. That way if you get the bed perfectly calibrated you don't lose it that easily, I swear is the best mod ever for ender printers. Also try to not disable steppers when leveling and move the extruder via motion in the display when going to the corners... This way you avoid accidentally moving the x gantry up or down.

    I'll never understand these manufacturers that keep making new models with some improvements but not all, either refine your product over time or just make total new models.
    Why the V1 style screen, why non-adjustable belt tensioners, why not tabs on gantry assembly to keep keep square, why no solid rubber bed mounts, still no PTFE/Cable support from hot end or wire guides, unguarded LCD screen.... all these little same/similar cost 'fixes' that improve it so much

    I have a 2 month old NEO MAX.
    The nozzle/hot end leaked hot filament all over it halfway through a print (first 8 hours were successful). It made the nozzle and hot end a mess that I couldn't salvage. I bought a Creality spider pro hot end because it said it was ender 3 line compatible.... it is not. The Neo Max hot end shroud doesn't fit on the top tube end nor the bottom cooling fan end. So now I have a neo max mess that isn't functioning. Not real happy with the 13 hour time zone differential support on it either.
    So do you know of a 300F full replacement option for the whole hotend/shroud?

    CR Touch blows. I am used to manually leveling and having a z-stop switch. I dont even see a z-stop switch on my neo. If I could go back id get ender 3, and just replace springs and bed.

      I feel you. In the same position rn. CR Touch giving wild differences. I just want to manually mesh level with ISCOC firmware but cant because of this shitty cr touch.

    question for ...the internet....im looking at a first printer for tpu specifically, can grab a 2month old stock ender3 neo for $225aud or a fully decked out ie, upgraded silent stepper board, hotend upgrade, klicky probe, cooling duct + fan ,microswiss direct drive, klipper pre-installled ender pro for $300aud. Dunno diddly squat yet but while the neo seems like a steal im wondering if all the work done to the pro makes it a better choice for tpu or is it better to grab the cheaper yet newer neo and put the leftover bux into a direct drice upgrade have an overall better/newer unit perhaps?

      Also what filament were you using? Thanks!

    Oh btw when loading filament into the white tubing how far will it go? When I loaded it in through the white tubing I hear a small click, dose that mean it is done setup? Please let me know ty but then power supply was up too high so had to assemble all that top part to the power supply and turn that side part the right way but then the screws won’t screw into the power supply at all don’t understand that at all or have that part backwards? Anyone out here on UA-cam live in Spokane and come and physically help me with this? I am old 66+ woman had it all together except those red and black cables with yellow male and female was way to short to even work those cables were in the printer bed kept hanging up so that’s when I realized the holes were up side down, so Amazon is replacing the whole printer for another new one for 100% free cause the manual dose not show how the holes are to be lined up, too small print to even read it. Anyways a new free one getting next Tuesday, one time only, so any one in Spokane Washington can come over and help me after next Tuesday? How can I attach the power supply on to side of printer and secure it? Screw holes not good at all.

      Also why are my black and red cords to connect power supply too short and how do I get it longer because it’s catching on to the glass bed under neath for it to move back and forth?
