      @@Rahul-85 I'm not "differently abled" I'm just disabled. Stop saying things like that. It's incredibly annoying for me, and countless other disabled people. Just say disabled. It's not a bad word.
      Be impressed by athleticism and say that, don't say "wow so brave to be other abled and still try 🥺". It's degrading.

      @patheticmortal373 3 роки тому +6

      @@Rahul-85 this is nothing to do with ability or type. It's just degrading to any disabled person full stop. Don't do it. Disabled people aren't other abled. Disabled people don't have super powers. Disabled people aren't brave for just existing.
      Edit. Also not cursing my conditions. I'm disabled, not other abled, and that's fine. I've learnt to do many things without hands and wrists. Would it be nice to do the gymnastics I used to do? Sure, but there's still plenty I can do and I've adapted and made new moves instead. It's allowed for more creative thinking. What's it's not made is abilities out of the norm. Michael Phelps is an example of "other abled" due to his physiological processes around ATP synthesis. But tabled tennis with your mouth is something people can learn, swimming with no legs is something you can learn. These elite athletes chose to learn. Not miraculously change their bodies to do something you can't learn.
      Saying someone must have something special in their bodies to possibly have a chance to be good at something while disabled is insulting. It disregards all the work they've put in.
      They aren't other. They aren't super. They're just normal people who have worked very hard to get where they are.
