A friend of mine has a mk3 tddi hatchback and also a 2.2 tdci. Tddi will give less trouble and will take huge mileages whereas a tdci with it's coded injectors that can on occasions need re calibrating and then there is the injector pump which often fails send tiny shards of metal into your fuel system. The problem here in the u.k is the diesel itself having to be low sulphur to comply with regulations and it's the sulphur content that acts as the lubricant, less of it results in faster wear of the pump. There was a case of a tdci where a fragment of metal jammed an injector open which flooded a cylinder eventually causing a bent con rod! I'll have the tddi any day....
+Simon John Hinton I had a 2001 TDDI and now have a 2006 TDCI, TDDI was definatley a more reliable engine and had a fair amount of punch in mid range, the 130 TDCI I have now is obviously more drivable with the variable vane turbo etc but it sounds rougher, feels rougher and just makes you wonder when the next thing will go, mine idles like an old tractor as the injectors are knackered, is much better on MPG though, thinking in the future about adding occasional drops of 2 stroke oil to combat that problem you mentioned about our diesel here in the UK having poor lubricating properties due to low sulphur content.

I agree, planning on using mine for private hire work so hopefully it lasts at least a year with the added stress of stop starting. If the 130bhp 2.0 goes well I can only imagine how nice the 2.2 155 is.

Giving sign at 2:20 that you'll going to overtake red car is OK, but giving sign at 2:23 that you'll going to get back on your side of the road is wrong...it is not mistake but it is not necessary. Anyway great car and great driving budy.

5 lat mi działa bez awaryjnie. Ogólnie ludzie podobno psioczą na elektrykę w środku w Mondeo mi się nie waliło z tym nic przez te 5 lat. Za to przeklinał do nieba będę ładowanie, cewki kable świece i hamulec ręczny w przedlifcie
No Panie Kolego ja też Panu powiem że największą satysfakcje w Mondeo sprawia mi to że mimo wszystko mam dziewczynę, bo na ręcznym to sobie raczej nie pojeżdżę ; D

Bar Daniel liftback (hatchback). Yes, I also prefer mondeo than passat :) It has better looking and it's a little bit bigger than passat. I think my next cars will be mondeo mk4, mk5.. :D
primots I`m just in love with the new mondeo with that ``aston martin face`` :D My boss have one, the 2.0 tdci 180 HP, titanium and when you start sport susspension, you can`t believe it`s ford and not an.... aston, lotus, etc...... it`s a perfect car for family or just 4 fun ( sportivity man ).Also i will go on a mk4. 2.0 tdci 140 hp :D

+Szymon Cywiński Nadal użytkuję i planuje użytkować jeszcze parę lat zanim wymienię na Mk4 :) mam go od kwietnia 2014 roku i jak narazie miałem jedną drobną awarię (przepływomierz powietrza). Tak to polecam (jeśli diesel tylko tddi)
+primots obawiam się wtryskiwaczy, które były już dwa razy wymieniane w modelu, który mogę kupić. Samochód ma spory przebieg, prawie 300 tyś stąd moje obawy. Dziękuję pięknie za odpowiedź :)
