Hello there! I truly appreciate how you were able to preserve old Microsoft promos and other media, specifically Steve Ballmer's promos and presenations. I wanted to ask something if you won't mind. Would it be possible for you to convert Steve Ballmer's Windows XP Commercial to HQ version? That'd be wonderful if you can do that. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Pretty much any of the sources I've come across were as raw as I was going to find them in. The Windows 1.0 "ad" for instance is sourced from VHS, which typically outputs 29.97 FPS interlaced in the NTSC format. The developers one came from someone who had access to a partial clip of the event that was roughly on-par with DVD quality. The only possible way to get the XP version of the "ad" in higher quality would be to track down the original video files (assuming they aren't already as compressed as what's on UA-cam), which likely would've been from someone working internally at Microsoft who has/had it in their collection. I won't even get into (AI) upscaling or frame interpolation, as that isn't the same to me and can only improve so much without having it look muddy.
