What's your favorite Timothy Olyphant role?! Make sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss any of our chats!
His "American Jedi" in A Perfect Getaway. Not seen by many, but that single role combines the absolute best of his range - his effortless charming duality (bad boy? badass good guy?) really shines there
Honestly, in all of them it has to be Kelly from 'The Girl Next Door', it was so different from who he seems to be in real life, and his typical role. But Joel in 'Santa Clarita Diet' is a close second just because that show was so amazing (and ended too soon).
I watched the Girl Next Door as a teenager way back when it came out and he stole the show as Kelly. Me and my girlfriend watched the Santa Clarita Diet as well and we both thought he was hilarious!
Even though "Always know if the juice is worth the squeeze" is the "We dug coal together" of romantic comedy quotes, neither one is, in my opinion, peak Olyphant. To really see Timothy taking his skills to the limit, I gotta recommend his bit part playing "Timothy Olyphant" in The Good Place. Then try diving a little deeper and looking into his deleted scene as Captain Japan in the Avengers. Obviously, one of the roles he was alluding to missing out on there at the end.
Thomas Gabriel from Die Hard. Very clever villain/misunderstood hero and teamed up with Bruce Willis as his first Die Hard in the modern 21st century was very clever 😁
I love Tiimothy, hes so funny on talk shows, but in these longer ones you can see hes very professional and thoughtful. I hope he comes back again :)
I love when he's on Conan's podcast.
Since the new Justified: City Primeval came out, I been rewatching the old justified, such a good show!!
Tim is the quintessential villain with a sick twisted smile while running through the dialogue with his victims.
Wow. I wasn't ready to be this charmed so early in the morning.
Tim as Thomas Gabriel from Die Hard was just incredible. Very clever villain/misunderstood hero and teamed up with Bruce Willis as his first Die Hard in the modern 21st century was very clever 😁
Favorite Timothy role is the Justified series. Looking forward to the best version!
Timothy Olyphant is great in the Justified series..I have watched the entire Justified series and now watching the Justified City Primeval series, great actor & so handsome!
Loved him in Justified
I absolutely love Timothy Olyphant!!! He is the ultimate BAD-ASS whether playing a protagonist or antagonist. Although I love him in every role he does, JUSTIFIED is by far my favourite project he has done. Raylan Givens is the ultimate flawed BAD-ASS!!!
Timothy Olyphant is an amazing actor.
He very much reminds me of the old school, old Hollywood handsome.
He is one that reminds why there were James Dean’s and Marlon Brando’s
Rare when an actor can do television and feature films and I’m sure he could do theater. Would love to see him in something in stage performance. Entertaining at his finest.
My favorite is really tough because I loved The Crazies (which was better bec of him) and shows he can do drama, comedy and horror. I’m actually binging his work while we have a writers strike so I’ll catch up to all of it. But something about him in A Perfect Getaway on Kauai is fantastic.
He’s just fantastic.
He's done a bunch of stage! He won an award for his stage (and acting) debut back in '95 and also did a major non-Broadway role in 2016 (Hold on to me Darling).
While you're binging, may I suggest all his Conan and Seth Meyers interviews - you won't be disappointed!
A Perfect Getaway, yes! I feel that particular role is his hole-in-one, has all his best qualities.
@@JadeCordovaI honestly don't think there's a better combination than Conan and Tim. My husband and I both love listening to their conversations!
@@JadeCordova Hopefully I will get through it before the Writer's strike is ended. Cast in A Perfect Getaway is a wonderful ensemble. One of Olyphant's strengths is he's a standout, even when in an ensemble cast. That's why theater comes to mind. When I saw him in Justified, opposite Walton Goggins, who we know has the character actor excellence that is reminiscent of James Cagney. Thanks for the suggestions.
I love Timothy Olyphant so much, thanks for having him on the show. I guess my favorite would be the Sherriff of Deadwood. I try to see everything he is in.
Seth Bullock
My fav Raylan Givens of course! Love Justified. Tim is so handsome. Love his smile & his humor. I am watching Primevil but would love to see the old Justified come back!!!!
Great show. You are excellent and Timothy is an extraordinary guest on top of his amazing work.
thank you for checking it out!
I loved Timothy so much in Santa Clarita Diet! I hate that it got canceled prematurely.
Yeah he was hilarious in it!
His bookshelves look like mine. That’s the only thing I have in common with Timothy Olyphant.
youve been interviewing some of my favourite actors! emily blunt and timothy olyphant back to back... love!
Nice!
Love hearing the inside info on Scream 2 😁
GO is a very underrated flick
I feel like his talk about "where you fit" also applies to relationships in general. When you are younger, you are just trying to see where you fit. As you get older, you are more likely to say no to new relationships because you've already figured out that X-relationship will turn out badly because YOU don't fit in them, but Y-relationships work better because that's where you feel most comfortable. It's about you knowing where you fit in, not trying to fit yourself into someone's perception of you fitting into their world.
Timothy, I'm your biggest fan!!! You still look super handsome!! (Although years ago you had looked better).I dream of you many times, you are my lover in my dream!❤
Timothy Olyphant would have made a great Captain Kirk
Loved this thank you,!
Dudes great. Confession. Ive not watched Justified really. Ive seen a few random episodes and liked what I saw. But this was years ago and was already watching too many thing's. Said id watch when im caught up on everything else and forgot until just now.
I'd love to see him as a Iron Man variant
wow! such transparent ... good stuff
53:22 Accurate on the broccolini.
Is there coming second season of justified city primal? Greedings from Finland🇫🇮!! Love both shows. I hope olyphant Family is doing great and everything is ok❤
I'm surprised A Man Apart didn't come up with Vin.
This was a great interview, and I love Timothy, but we have got to get this guy a high definition camera. The picture quality on his end is terrible! Don't tell me he doesn't have the money 😂
thanks and agreed!
He looks so fuzzy blurry. As tho someone set the Zoom picture settings to blur the picture. 🤷🏼♀
@@saturnslipper I honestly thought it was my connection until I looked over @JoshHorowitz camera, 📸 and it was super clear.
@@JoshHorowitz Maybe we could bless him with one if he comes on again.
Well, he did mention he was using his daughter's laptop for this interview. I think the video quality of his other online stuff is a bit better
Agent 47
This was fun to watch, but his daughter thus far has been unspectacular in that role. I'm not sure this was a great idea for someone with such little real experience to jump into the big leagues that quickly. I'm enjoying aspects of City Primeval, but we need more Raylan these last 3 episodes. It's like they are holding him back for whatever reason.
He’s definitely a better actor than Chris Pines (no offense or insult to Chris), AND he’s better looking. Younger isn’t always better. In fact, it’s usually not. For example, many misogynists don’t hire actresses over 30 even though doing so would make the whole movie better and more relatable. Not a huge fan of JJ Abrams so not a huge loss. I am a big Trekkie though 🤓. I think if you watch the JJ Abrams ones like MST3K then it works. 😅
Been a Timothy fan since “Go”. He’s hilarious and just a natural actor. Very funny on Conan as well
Chicken and waffles.
NOT getting cast in a silly Star Trek show is probably the best thing that's ever happened to him.
It was for the movies
The guy they have playing Captain Pike in Strange New Worlds reminds us a lot of Tim. That's probably why we like the guy! Would have been awesome if he'd been cast.
