Fun story, I've been once at a bar, there was some show hypnotizers that were doin' some demonstration with some random people for fun. Of course out of curiosity I wanted to try to see how it feels and trying to understand how it works. And it's weirdly interesting. The core of it to make it work is to being relaxed in order to be put in trance , and you must not fight it off or being openly sceptic, since it actually sabotage everything. Just follow and don't think. Stupidly simple. Then once it's done, you can pretty much do anything they instructed you since you're focused on what you've been told to, yet don't think about the consequences or anything else. You're focused, yet unrationnally thinking. Reacting, not thinking. For example under a word, I freeze. He did the trick 2 times to show, then left me wander around. At some point I passed by some people chatting and they were having a friend that was put under the same "spell" with the same word and they were fooling around with him saying the word. Next thing you know I heared it, I froze, and was stuck for a couple minutes unnoticed in a corner because the key condition to "unfroze" is to have someone whispering another key word into your ears. At some point the friends of the other guy asked the hypnotizer how they are supposed to "unfreeze" their buddy, so of course the hypnotizer told him the word, and as they are turning around, they see me, stuck like a moron. They cracked a laugh wondering for how long was I there, poking and tickling me to check if was faking or something unless they just wanted to mess around, I don't know, but the hypnotizer then came to me said the word and I finally was free of movement and speech. Writing this, I think that it's completely stupid how it works, because it's explainable yet it's too simple compared to the results you can get and it seems overall off. But it's like that I guess.
It's important to be safe with hypnosis, discuss aftercare, and make sure not to implant triggers in people with broad usage because it can really fuck with your feeling of comfort and make future hypnosis ineffective as your brain recognizes it as uncomfortable and risky. Safe hypnodoms I have heard use triggers like "when only I say this word and we are in a safe place, you will x" Secret Subject is a good hypnodom content creator on UA-cam if you're looking for someone who cares about playing safely.

There are many different inductions and not all inductions are effective for all people. Even with ADHD you can be hypnotised, you just have to find an induction style that works for you and a hypnodom that is skilled in it
