    Before everyone goes mad, Shaun's channel is very informative and entertaining, I'm Irish and many viewers will be English, but don't lose the head and just watch it without saying " I'm on this side so this is what I think" this is Shaun's channel not any of his guests or ours so at the least try be civilised.

    This mans success on his channel and with his public speaking engagements are a testament of perseverance and personal strength. His ability of recognising opportunity is what got him in to trouble and is now what is keeping him out of trouble and, I’d like to think, many others that might of been thinking about going down the same path. I wish him every success.

    Would love to see alleged members of other paramilitaries from both sides. Being from nothern ireland myself from a loyalist background I find it interesting to hear the stories from the very messed up history of this country. It has caused a great divide that still stands even today and hearing from people that played a part and have strong views on the matter is always a nice insight into why this country is the way it is. Keep up the good work Shaun, loving the content as always 💕

    I feel obliged to clarify a number of points. At no time has Shaun endorsed any of my actions. He has made his remit perfectly clear, the subject of my time served in prison. For obvious reasons, the question needed to be asked. What was my offence. I fail to see how Shaun can be held accountable for merely being his usual thorough self. On a personal level I have no problem contributing, and hopefully educating, those who have an interest in social and political history. If people cannot accept that in a mature and reasonable manner, then so be it.

    • @takedshineov3366
      @takedshineov3366 5 років тому

      Fair enough you want to speak about prison, but with great respect, to give out to others for not accepting you with maturity and reason when you have failed to do so when it came to the other side in the conflict you were involved in, is blinkered. Until you show yourself as a reasonable man you can't ask for it in return.

It is clear that the British establishment ran both sides in a domestic conflict that killed thousands. The perfect army training camp model. And their crimes in the last decades were cowardly atrocities reeking of British Imperialist collusion. They were responsible for the first sectarian death in the troubles and were the last to disband and decommission. God love them and God shave the Queen.

    great interview shaun, frank is a very good guy and a true friend, i rely enjoyed seeing my old mate, can't wait to see the next. frank can and still doe's so much positive things in life, we all have the right to reflect learn from what we have done, why can't some people see that ? i served my sentence at about the same time as frank, he never let me down, when so many so called loyalist did, that i never forget or forgive, but i have moved on from the angry man of 1993, even if some special branch people don't think i have a right to move on whilst gerry kelly sit's on the policing board in northern ireland, the same people he tried to murder ! along with so many other innocent people. frank, thanks for over 30 years of friendship, your a good man, that can never be denied, jim little

      It was in the green many a year ago (or many moon in big house patois) that some one clued me up to summat that always kinda stuck with me.
      Now I've built it up and it ain't nothing mind blowing and perhaps a lot of you chaps on here know this and have known it forever but it's always stuck with me as a prime bit of jailhouse superstition....
      I was about to scrawl my moniker and some other kinds of low grade prisony bullshit on my pad wall and the lad i was banged up with looked over and said to me:"have you not been clued up yoof?....don't ever write yer name on the peter wall coz it signifies and jinxes you that you'll be coming back into look for it "
      Now maybe that's old hat bullshit to some of you boys but as I say it's always stuck with me as sound advice and top notch voodoo ju ju big house superstition and pathos....
      Oh okay sorry to have wasted your time....I'll get me coat then shall I......off down the road mumbling....

    There's better more authentic loyalists out there. However he does offer a unique point of view whether it's entirely accurate or not that's another debate. We know now through released documents that mi5 and mi6 were heavily supplying the loyalist side in that conflict and we also know that you had to be from the actual areas of northern Ireland whether you were protestant or catholic to be trusted and accepted. This guy would never have been trusted by anyone in the north because the stakes were too high. He would never have been involved in any inner circles or on the ground with the troops as they only trusted their own. He may have been used as a lackey to some degree but was probably guaranteeably never an important person at any stage of that conflict.
