In this video, you will learn how to duplicate objects faster in Inkscape. Or you can say how to duplicate objects by repeating its last transform action. In Illustrator Ctrl-D is used for this purpose. We will explain the Ctrl-D of Illustrator in Inkscape or say Illustrator Ctrl-D alternative in Inkscape. To repeat an object after a fixed interval, Ctrl+Alt+D is used in Inkscape.

I use mac, I tried Cmd+Option+D, not working
Go to Edit>Preferences. Go to Interface and open Keyboard. On the right side, you will see a search bar. Here, search for "Duplicate and Transform". It will show you its shortcut below after the name. If it doesn't have a shortcut, give it a custom shortcut for ease. To do that, please take a look at our video explaining how to create custom shortcuts. Its link is given below.

@@learnwithmnofficial - thank you. something is wrong, I have that shortcut Option+Cmd+D but it is not working
Never mind, I see mac reserved this specific shortcut to show and hide the dock. If I turn it off from mac keyboard settings, then it works. Thanks again for showing this technique, very good timesaver
