BJJ Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your BJJ skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for BJJ Students who don’t look at BJJ as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

The part where he said, “if he’s an idiot,” really spoke to my soul
"Do whatever you want hotshot" hahahahahahahaha gold
My entire game is built around giving up the gift wrap.
Poor Placido, he always gets beat on 🤣 Thank you for sacrificing yourself for our education
John Danaher Is Simply The Brightest Mind In Grappling
‘From there, he’s an idiot if he stays in that position…’
I’ll get my coat
I like this approach of him being more energetic in his way of instructing
Level of profundity this guy has developed just keeps me astounded
@Cooper Oscarfono 😂 dude I was thinking the same thing, the wording is so off-putting.
Kant, Shakespeare, Rumi are profound. John Danaher overcomplicating martial arts by making it seem in plain sight simple is not. He's just a jock who wanted to be a philosopher when he was younger. Hero worship is common, and BJJ is cultish, so it's the perfect scenario for a guy like this to wow people. I love grappling and all martial arts and respect him for his knowledge, but I can't stand this creepy idolisation.
Have you read Kant? Seems to me what Danaher is doing all the time is uncovering holistic principles which guide practical action in jiu-jitsu. Considering Kant’s whole epistemology and « profundity » ends up founding not much more than the practical application of the laws of reason to experience, I’d say Danaher is doing pretty well in a kantian perspective.
Is it merely the words or the accurate articulation of the principles and techniques with the utmost exactitude is what we get from Danaher ?
Language matters and complex subject matters sometimes demand slight technicality while verbalizing it ...no big deal.
@@baron5595 acknowledging and admiring a maestro's depth in his discipline if appears creepy idolisation to you and if you think that is hero worshipping then your last two braincells are fighting for the third place and there's that.
never seen Placido speaking hmm interesting
Danaher underestimates my stupidity
"I think Placido hasn't seen this move before" with Bond vilain inflexion.
Excellent 👍 got to the point fantastic
Nobody is going to be that foolish Hold my beer
Hahaha. What was that, oh just run the clock! Lmfao

Is that a typo or did I miss a step?
oss
Yeap, Danaher calling out all the white belts. I am that idiot still.
