"It's dangerous to go alone" is a quote from the very first Zelda game so the Hero armor set is a tribute to the first Link. You should try playing it if you want to lose your hair. Very funny video, btw.
Coolest Zelda design is actually Tears of the Kingdom for me. The dress, earrings and short hair make her look so badass. I hope in the next Smash Bros. or maybe Hyrule Warriors we'll see her in that outfit. Coolest Link is ... Hyrule Warriors Link. I think the blue scarf makes all the difference, haha.
On the link outfits thing, I like to believe that Hyrule Warriors, a game I will not play but have seen many pictures of, collapses all of time in their time war until there’s only one timeline again, decanonizing itself and placing all of the junk from other universes into one super universe- That’s why botw/totk Hyrule is so big, it’s like three Hyrules glued together. It’s like three little rivulets coming back together into one big river. There’s salt everywhere now and too many strange buildings underground. Perfect.
I seen a wiener in the depths it had a mush room head and it was sticking up and out i took a pic of it it’s made out of the land but obviously I don’t know how I could share it
My headcanon about the gear you can find in the depths is that it’s kind of between worlds. You know how you can find all those poes down there, but nowhere else? The weirdly magical zonaite? In my mind, that stuff exists down there because the depths are partially in like, the spirit realm or something.
I think that all of the armor can exist because of the Time Break, as explained by Brian David Gilbert. It’s pretty much just that all of the time lines eventually merged into the same timeline, either naturally or by design, and then botw happened, and then this
Either A) the time lines merged at some point, and all the heroes that COULD have been but weren't in whatever timeline still had their gear, or B) it's just a cute little reference that doesn't mean anything.
Someone call the police, the little green man (champion of bird men) has become the little green pirate man (still champion of bird man but now pirate)
14:48 actually, adding an ancient blade does turn your arrow into an ancient arrow. It was designed to fight guardians and thus one shots them, but any other boss takes minimal damage. Any non-boss enemy though, lynels included, simply vanish into nothingness, just like with ancient arrows.
0:00 THE INTRO MUSIC??? SO NOSTALGIC!!! Old Quin videos are a part of my quilty pleasure while I wait for new vids. It made me so happy to see it return!!
I have a pet theory that, eventually, the three timelines collapsed under the strain of maintaining themselves, and remerged into a single timeline, sometime during Hyrules more recent decline. This made quite a mess, leaving buildings and landmarks in odd places, and treasures of the past scattered about. I also like to think fairies are responsible for some of the more convenient things in the Zelda series; random treasure chests, there always being a workable route through each dungeon... They're servants of Hylia, after all. I also think it's a form of Great Fairy in each of the Goddess Statues, rather than Hylia herself (since she kinda reincarnated into Zelda so idk how she's also answering prayers like that, unless she also still exists as an incorporeal goddess, but that's not really how gods have been shown to "work" in Zelda so...?)
3:50 Zeltik explains the timeline placement of BOTW/TOTK and he uses real life examples (eg. interviews with developers, existing lore, etc.) to back it up
if we accept the idea that the armor existing in the world means that the original wearer also existed in the world at some point, that means tingle 1) existed in botw/totk hyrule and 2) is now either pulling a gone girl or literally dead
Twilight princess for both link and Zelda. Link comes off as both fierce and a gentle giant. Zelda’s embroidery on her dress is cool and the fact that she wields her own sword is awesome. If I had to pick another option link from spirit tracks, I love his engineer outfit and the fact that you can get that outfit back. And for Zelda it’s totk her short her looks really good and I like her
i really really love the twilight princess designs, but i think my favorite might be skyward sword. Zeldas little hair wrap thingys are so cool looking, and the artstyle feels very homey
In the depths, there are ghosts that give you undamaged weapons, and in a certain area under hebra, they might give you royal weapons. These weapons last longer and do more damage than the normal weapons.
You can get royal and royal guard in the depths under the gerudo snow mountains that I can’t remember the names of right now gerudo highlands? And also you can find them in crenal peak/crenal hills depths area.

Twilight Princess wins top marks for most beautiful Zelda and Link designs for SURE. But I definitely have a soft spot for how expressive they made Skyward Sword Link and Zelda. Armor-wise, I do really love the tunic they give Link in TOTK with the leather shoulder piece and the Zonai aesthetic is top tier. The Zonaite chest piece, the dragon sets, Zelda and Sonia’s outfits…all so good! Sonia is one of the most beautiful character designs since tall Midna and TP Zelda. And Rauru and Mineru look so cool. And we already KNOW Urbosa gets top tier status! BOTW and TOTK have some of the best NPC designs, for sure.
I actually do remember one of the zeldatubers doing a video about misko and made a whole lore story for the items in botw. i think it was basically like some of the items are replicas of legendary items and some are supposed to be, like, actual artifacts? i need to find the video.
I would say that most people just dismiss the amiibo items as being canon, but, personally, i like MatPat's theory that the first Hyrule Warriors game combines the timelineswith its plot and thats how we get BOTW/TOTK Hyrule. That, to me, explains both the Zonai and "Hyrules first king". Its THIS Hyrule, not Hyrule overall. And now past tunics and relics are protected by the royal family (Misko DLC for BOTW says that he stole them from the palace).
So for Quin's question about favorite LoZ designs, I've only played BOTW/TOTK and a little bit of WindWaker, but from what I've seen for character designs, I really like the Skyward Sword designs the most. Also hello small man, so glad that the algorithm graced me with your chaoticness lmao
I don't think anyone truly knows where botw and totk fit in the Zelda timeline. There have also been other changes and contradictions found in the timeline, so it's pretty much just up to personal opinions and theories at this point.
I don't think it's possible to admire the scenery in the game enough. Also Twilight Princess has my favorite designs, although a bit biased since it's also my favorite game
