My favorite method for depths exploration is to grab a bunch of rocket shields and rockets and ride the dragons for their depths part. You get free parts while riding safely on a dragon
That's how I found a bunch of them both before the hoverbike build dropped and the easy dupe in 1.1.1 hit so I could easily make sure I had an endless supply of parts/power. Dragons made getting around the depths super easy. (Edit: At least parts of it!)

10:24 AT LAST! I have been waiting for the Miner’s Mask discovery!! Don’t you see?? It’s shaped like the mole men! They must have existed! And I agree, the Depths were too uniform. Your ideas would definitely have improved the gameplay. I like the Depths, and it makes sense how they crafted them, but variety would have made exploration so much more rewarding! At least the Yiga are down there being devious. Definitely the best part. 😂 And being able to repeat the Colgera fight. Love that music. Can't argue with glowing mushrooms, or more variety in the depths. But I can't help but to wonder if Quin's experience in the depths was colored by the fact that he may have underutilized the brightbloom seeds... I didn't like the depths at first, but once you get the hang of creeping around and using the bloom flowers to create your own light... I dunno, I kinda loved it. Not that it couldn't have been better; but also it's a massive game and I bet the devs at some point just had to ship it
@@doomsdaybooty1072 All good points. Quin definitely plays in a haphazard style that doesn’t really fit how best to navigate the Depths. 😂 But we love him for it. Overall, I liked them, too! But they are massive, so the uniform ecosystem (excepting the volcanic region) makes it a little less exciting to explore after a certain point, even if the logic for the ecosystem to be the same throughout, and for it to be tied to the overworld, is correct (matching our general understanding of how ecosystems work). Technically the same is also true for the sky islands. They all have a matching ecosystem, for the most part. And I agree it’s probably because the devs had a massive game to design and create! And when I think about it, I can’t really come up with a better ecosystem situation. So I’m not even sure what the Depths needed that would make them more rewarding to explore fully.
@marissabulso6439 ya with infinite time and money I'm sure we would've gotten a more environmentally diverse depths & sky. Oh well. I hope they keep the general gameplay and style for the next serial LoZ game, but take us out of Hyrule. Like where is Sidon's wife from? Let's go find out lol.

@@Sapphairis Agreed. I don't hate nor dislike the sky. But idk, i found it more repeating than the depths. Atleast in the depths there is more monster and structures to explore. I like the idea of the depths, but like you said it could've been executed better. Maybe instead of being a flipped version of the overworld it could've been a brand new map altogether, with unique areas and biomes (again like you said). Nevertheless, though, I still love exploring the depths
You see Quin normally people use bright blooms to light their way when they explore the depths so they can see what they’re doing instead of running blindly through the dark like I’ve noticed you tend to do. They also put lights on their vehicles or wear the miner set or glow elixirs. I think that you might have enjoyed the depths more if you had used some of those options. Great video as always!

Idk why but i personally love the depths, exploring it is just so cool and peaceful to me. It could be improved though, i feel like it would be so cool if it had more unique buildings scattered around and if it was a bit smaller and had themed areas
Hard agree on the Yiga being one of the best parts of this game. I love reading their little notepads and seeing them trying to figure out the Depths, and trusting that Kohga knows what he's doing when he absolutely does not.

Two things; gibdoes are corpses come to life which is proven by the older LoZ titles and now that it's been mentioned- the depths are kinda like the eldin caves from SS. This adds fuel to the fire of TotK is a sequel to SS. Which is depressing for the implications. EDIT: the patterns on the Gerudo graves are probably symbolic of something like passing or to keep evil away from the dead and some of the text can be translated but idk what it's translated to.
*In today's episode of Tears of the Kingdom...* Quin's feelin' a little spooky, a little mysterious, perhaps even a little sneaky. He's been slithering about Hyrule's Depths for a good while now, just skulking about beneath the ground you walk on. If you were to jump in place right now, you could jostle him off the cavernous ceilings from which he clings. He would splat on the ground like a water balloon. It would be funny. Still! QuinBoBin, master of creeping about the dark, would like to: creep about the dark. (Who would've guessed?) With the majority of the land mapped, he tours the area wistfully complaining about how dark it was beforehand and how much nicer it is that he can see. Of course, he isn't _liking_ what he's seeing; a little bland and repetitive for his taste. He complains a good while as he sears away the last of the darkness, and then… Finally! Finally, he can _see!_ He can explore!! He rushes about the land beneath the Surface, gleefully pointing out odd little areas on his map. He finds many such trinkets and clothes, things to store away and hoard, and-----nothing of importance beyond that. (No armor pieces found today will be relevant. They will not be mentioned again. They will not be in thumbnails in the future. They are not important. Forget them. They did not exist.) Quin, with his last scrap of delusion, heads beneath the Arbiter's Grounds. Is Midna there? No. Just ghosts. (Unless…?) *Thus concludes our (mis)adventures for today!*
the depths are uniquely terrifying, i really enjoyed it but i do agree that more diverse biomes/landscapes would of really helped make it even better. also imagine zora depths being flooded but pre water temple the sludge naturally finds its way down there making it even harder to traverse until youve completed the temple.. frozen rito depths with enormous ice spikes.. vast and winding gerudo sandstone depths.. hot and humid faron depths being full of glowing crystals and ores..
@Bin A few months ago some folks discovered that a railing in the Depths can be torn off of those elevators powered by fans. It has *very light weight* at the same time as *high air resistance* and can be saved to Autobuild. If you use it in building a hoverbike you can get really great stability, higher top speeds, better maneuverability, and more efficient battery use.
I was a little down thinking Quin wasn't gonna post this week and to my excitement, he posted another fantastic video. Thanks for the best start to the week!
The Depths are definitely underrated. Yes, they could have been better. Varied biomes would have been a lot better. But the Yiga are hilarious to deal with and there are some really interesting things in the Depths. Plus it was genuinely terrifying inching my way through the utter pitch black one brightbloom at a time until i realized I could attach one to a hover bike and breeze through it all.
I just did this too!! It was a blast! Your content is genuinely one of my absolute favorite things in existence. Legend of Zelda is my favorite media, and watching you play it is always a joy

I got every Lightroot in like September but then I got bored of the game in November and i joined back in January, also keep up the good work and good content, thanks
your complaint about the depth is valid and what most people also think. even the dev said it took surprisingly little time to do. and tbh it shows. they thought they were done but it's because they didn't give it their classic nintendo polish as they usually do... there's no biomes it just the same thing everywhere, and after the first few times you go down there it's just all samey. i used to love it at first, it grew boring once i noticed everything is the same and i experience the little it offered already.
for the statues, there is one race depicted that we never see, and it would've been great to see a people living down there. (the frog looking people Josha's quest leads you to in the beginning). like, sure, the ruins are surface level interesting, but they're all pretty much the exact same thing over and over. there are about three distinct depths ruins: the restoration pool by the central mine, the observation deck by the heart pond, and the gerudo cemetery. and they tell us about nothing about the ancient society aside from what we already knew: the zonai we strangely incredibly involved with the ancient gerudo. (the dungeon with the most zonai writing on it/architectural influences is the lightning temple). anyway, agree. the depths are a disappointment and they could've been something much cooler. but i think they are supposed to be a bit like the dark world in a link to the past, so it is meant to be a reflection of the overworld. but it definitely could've been more interesting. (also there are way too many hinoxes. there are so many. why is hyrule overrune with hinoxes above and below)
It sounds like Quin wants the depths to sort of be like Abberation from Ark Survival Evolved. His description reminded me of that, and my gosh... I'm in love with that idea.
See the depths is basically just one giant game of 'the floor is lava and you're blindfolded' in my brain, and that challenge alone scratches an itch for me for some reason. Not knowing what's around every corner or how high the ledge above me is is so terrifying but awesome. Even though it's pretty empty down there I find it so weirdly satisfying to climb around and unlock more of the map (I didn't know about the hoverbike yet when I was doing most of my depths exploration, so I think that helped). Also: big frox. big fan. 10/10 would tame one, keep it in Zelda's Well and name it Patricia II. HARD AGREE about how they should've put more variety of biomes down there though, we were ROBBED!! Bioluminescent mushrooms def would've been sick (the depths fireflies are so cool for that reason). Imagine if they also gave us an armor set like Cece's silly little outfit that just...glowed in the dark. lmao. Couple other neat places to check out next time you're down here, if you haven't already: under Satori Mountain, under the springs of power/wisdom/courage, under Tanagar canyon, under Typhlo Ruins (something's tickling my brain telling me you went there already but I forget), and under akkala citadel.
So, one of the great skeletons is Levias from Skyward Sword. R.I.P. windfish. Also the rest of the wild set is in each of their skulls in case you ever want to do an armor collection video.
I have a love hate relationship with the depths. Especially because of the darkness it was so difficult to navigate, but still its a really awesome place to just run around in and I can go visit my favorite bosses whenever. Fun times. Also the score that plays when you drop into the depths is just. Chefs kiss. Unnerving and awesome.
Is there are any places in the depths you guys think I should go check out LET ME KNOW I wanna see MORE!!!!

I agree with you on the depths! I think its a great concept and they are really deep and threatening, but exploration can get monotonous. I would LOVE more bioluminescence and variety in the regions like snow and sea. Maybe a new friendly race of creatures that lives down there!
Idk why but i personally love the depths, exploring it is just so cool and peaceful to me. It could be improved though, i feel like it would be so cool if it had more unique buildings scattered around and if it was a bit smaller and had themed areas
I like the depths too! Just want MORE
1:14 you can give them treats in the form of bright blooms!
They like them??
@@QuinBoBinyes! you just need to throw it down then watch them from a distance
13:53 was like one of those BOTW/TOTK "Advanced Combat" videos 🙌
Quin's editing skills has improved soo much, just makes me wonder how many more goblins has he hired to work on his brain
Several
4:17 me thinking he’s about to compliment himself because he’s a handsome big man 😭
I was rewatching your tears of the kingdom play through when you uploaded this
Hard agree on the Yiga being one of the best parts of this game. I love reading their little notepads and seeing them trying to figure out the Depths, and trusting that Kohga knows what he's doing when he absolutely does not.
Can confirm, dog stair confusion is real af, it took my dogs about a month and a half to learn stairs. Hope you're good Quinn, love the videos, as always.
The depths hot spring is located right beneath the shrine of resurrection! That whole area is cool. Check out the area underneath Satori Mountain!
Knowing you like to creep around the shadows made me realize I went to bed with my closet open.
THE KING UPLOADED
Poor Yiga didn't know they were about to be consumed by Quin's goblin like creations.
Quinn, I gotta be honest, I had a HORRIBLE end to the day and wanted to say thank you so so much for this-anything ya make with your name on it is healing, enjoyable, and mental health boosting experience. Immense gratitude rn and may your soups always be the perfect temp the whole meal 🙏✨🤙🏻💚💚💚
best youtuber fr. never fails to instantly make my day better
ever since i realized the yiga clan are basically team rocket they've become my favorite characters they're so silly
*In today's episode of Tears of the Kingdom...*
Quin's feelin' a little spooky, a little mysterious, perhaps even a little sneaky.
They did not exist.)
Quin, with his last scrap of delusion, heads beneath the Arbiter's Grounds. Is Midna there? No. Just ghosts. (Unless…?) *Thus concludes our (mis)adventures for today!*
*Today's Koroks: N/A*
*Total Korok Count: 83/1000*
the depths are uniquely terrifying, i really enjoyed it but i do agree that more diverse biomes/landscapes would of really helped make it even better.
also imagine zora depths being flooded but pre water temple the sludge naturally finds its way down there making it even harder to traverse until youve completed the temple.. frozen rito depths with enormous ice spikes.. vast and winding gerudo sandstone depths.. hot and humid faron depths being full of glowing crystals and ores..
That be so cool!!!, I love the idea of completing the dungeons changing the depths a little bit
I’m a small man who found all lightroots as soon as I realized there was a scary place called the depths.
Two videos back to back?! Best week ever
Dude I love your videos so much it’s probably not healthy anymore but honestly your videos just make me so happy and bring so much joy to my heart :)
Quinn can even make the depths fun. Many creators have tried, this is the first that I enjoyed
Also! Have you done the eye collection on the great plateau yet?
0:50 It isn't the perfect hoverbike anymore. We've moved on to light rail hoverbikes now.
To WHAT
@Bin A few months ago some folks discovered that a railing in the Depths can be torn off of those elevators powered by fans. It has *very light weight* at the same time as *high air resistance* and can be saved to Autobuild.
If you use it in building a hoverbike you can get really great stability, higher top speeds, better maneuverability, and more efficient battery use.
Quin when is the korok hunt???!??!
One day
This video was genuinely so much fun :D
I was a little down thinking Quin wasn't gonna post this week and to my excitement, he posted another fantastic video. Thanks for the best start to the week!
some of these lightroots are actually so so hard to find. well done!
Quin, you’re the best! No other UA-camr is as funny/entertaining as you. Love the videos man. Keep it up 👍🏻
Dude, I DESPERATELY want to know the lore behind the mines as well. Did the Zonai build them, or did they take over them? I very much want mole people.
Also, the zora depths statues give me TP zora vibes
i make the same excited “OOOHHH” noise that you always make every time i see one of your videos go up can’t wait to see even more totk completionist content like side quests and stuff!!
I got every Lightroot in like September but then I got bored of the game in November and i joined back in January, also keep up the good work and good content, thanks
I am watching totk from quin on repeat. It's amazing. Idk why but I find myself quoting him throughout my day now. Please keep going!
Quin makes a good point about how the depths should have more biomes. That would be sick
Posting two days in a row? Quin you MONSTER
anyways love the content keep it up
your complaint about the depth is valid and what most people also think. even the dev said it took surprisingly little time to do. and tbh it shows. they thought they were done but it's because they didn't give it their classic nintendo polish as they usually do... there's no biomes it just the same thing everywhere, and after the first few times you go down there it's just all samey. i used to love it at first, it grew boring once i noticed everything is the same and i experience the little it offered already.
Oh my god two consecutive posts
I love screaming into the depths and freaking out all the little guys
New Quin upload on a Sunday is just pure UA-cam bliss.
for the statues, there is one race depicted that we never see, and it would've been great to see a people living down there.
20:47 Mineru just don't give AF. "STOP HE'S ALREADY DEAD"
Honestly? I agree with having the mushrooms giving off a subtle light around, would've made getting around easier to some degree
Why does it not surprise me that a goblin like quin loves the shadows😂
omg i love your content i use it to relax (some parts jolt me out of my sleepy mode lol)
I’ll go check those places next time I’m down there
So, one of the great skeletons is Levias from Skyward Sword. R.I.P. windfish.
Also the rest of the wild set is in each of their skulls in case you ever want to do an armor collection video.
NOOO MY BOY I MISS HIM
I have a love hate relationship with the depths. Especially because of the darkness it was so difficult to navigate, but still its a really awesome place to just run around in and I can go visit my favorite bosses whenever. Fun times. Also the score that plays when you drop into the depths is just. Chefs kiss. Unnerving and awesome.
