You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The show regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

I feel like checking at the end there to see what the opponent will do is a valid option
I guess the “Jig” was up
That's rough but you gotta raise that crap!!!

Played it bad, with this stack a reraise Allin on the turn is the play
Bingo. $5000 was legitimately the worst possible size he could have used.
The pocket pairs I hate the most and always loose with are 88 and 22.
No C- Bet on flop no reraise Allin on the turn and no check on the River. Actually bad play on every Street
Why no c-bet? You can't just ASSUME the over-card hits Villian
Bam - and just like that Brad
lol thats too funny
I hate pocket jacks.
The only hands that are going to call you will be hands that beat you if they pair. AKo, AKs, AA, KK, QQ, AQo, AQs.
That said; in online poker I see jacks get crushed constantly. I mean legitimately to the point I wonder if the website is rigged and I refuse to play jacks on it. I watch other people play jacks all day, and all day I see them lose 4/5 times. That shouldn't really happen, but it does.
Two ways to play those and Both are WRONG 😮
I get beat by and lose with JJ more than any cards.
Played perfectly by Brad tbh. When your opponent just wants to put THAT much money in with a non-nut flush draw, not even in the slightest getting the right odds to call and then magically get there, what can you do 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
His 3bet was entirely too small as he gave him nearly direct pot odds to call (7850 / 2000 = 3.9), plus implied odds on the river with the benefit of acting last. A Q-hi back door flush is effectively the nuts as Brad only has one combo that would play the turn this way (AKcc). Given the awkward/shallow remaining effective stacks he should have just 3bet shipped the turn, especially since he was willing to shove the river after the back door flush got there. It’s okay to be critical of your heroes.
@@johnnyBuz072I was very surprised not to see a big overbet or jam to end the hand right there. As played with no 3 bet his opponent will have Kings nearly 0% of the time, and so a flush draw or lower set are the only things that make sense, and the lower sets might actually call.
Sometimes sh*t happens Brad. Chin up buddy 😉
shoulda bet the flop and won a small pot instead
Jacks suck...
