@@yodead369 i don't think a 6x9 speaker would fit in the round opening. perhaps a different year or model of Highlander had 6x9 speakers. yes they were JBL brand originally
Hi Jerry, I am not entirely certain about the size of the rear speakers. My son has the vehicle now and he's away at college, so I can't check. I did a quick Google search and it looks like the rear door speakers are 5.25 inches (5 and 1/4 inches), but you should double check it. I don't have any recommendations for speakers. I just got what was inexpensive at the time. Best of luck to you!
Hello Mauricio, I am not certain of the tweeter size. I looked online and it seems like tweeters are either 3/4 inch or 1 inch. One website, Crutchfield, showed both sizes as being compatible. I hope this might help.
@@dazchannelofficial5840 I'm not 100% sure, you could try removing the door panel and checking it to be certain. ive heard that some highlanders have oval shaped speakers.
They don't sound as good because those jbls are low Independence speakers. Better have something with high DB and low frequency ratings. apparently the amp doesn't push out as much power as people believe. 🤷🏻♂️
My friends base model had 6X9 speakers in the front. But changing them out was basically the same thing. Thanks for the video!
Hi. What’s the part number for the Ken wood speakers?
It is a 6 1/2 inch, 2-way speaker by Kenwood, 300W, Part number KFC-1666R
What size is the speaker. Great video.

Do they sound good
they sound ok. they were not expensive speakers. the original JBL speakers sounded better.
@@TheRandomDave
Do you have the model number of the original JBL speakers you removed?
Hi.. are the rear ones the same size? Any recommendations on speakers?
