I thought Motley Crew was the pinnacle…but then I saw Play With Fire! Somehow, it’s both immaculately beautiful and 100% the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen!😳
Dance is so much more that just hitting the beats correctly and matching choreographed movement. For Hyunjin, it’s the way he emotionally connects to the music that makes him stand out so much. He embodies the music so completely that it looks as if his body is being possessed and controlled by the sound itself. When I watch him, I feel like I’m SEEING sound!
Every right pressure on the points during the dance is also very important so that the dance looks perfect or flawless, I found out when I watched Blackpink's Lisa become a dance mentor for trainees
Yes and that one he does dance on his own. And it's out of this world fantastic. Not that this one wasn't great but still...yeah... can't wait for a reaction to Play with Fire
This video was the moment Hyunjin went from "awe" to "oh. Ok" for me. I knew he could hit hard, but dude went in on this. I think a stand out for me because of the creative choreography was during the "get up b*tch..get up" part, more dancers materialized behind him during each record scratch. I was like yo...I wouldn't have thought of that at ALL. Thanks as usual for your genuine reactions!
I watched this AOTM...probably ten times in a row when it was released? Hyunjin's charisma is so captivating. It's not only about dancing, it's really the power he holds when he dances, it's like he becomes one with the song with how much he controls his muscles and facial expressions. He was insane for this. You should give a try to his others dances performances he choreographed himself like Play with Fire and When the party is over, you won't regret it ^^
To think he was told off daily about his dancing skills when he first joined JYPE. He didn't know how to dance or sing or rap, he was recruited for his looks, but telling him that made him work harder to gain skills and be recognized for his skills, not his looks. And here we are at 30mil+ views. He even cut his hair for this one as he didn't want it to be about his trademark long hair. Hwang Hyunjin, prince.
what..really? i thought at least he was chosen for his dance skills..how did he go from not knowing dance to be the best in the group..damn did he work hard!!!
Thanks for the reaction. When you think of when Hyunjin couldn’t dance when he came to Stray Kids, this is absolutely fantastic. He is so enormously talented.
Hyunjin had this incredible talent of being able to make music sound so much better with his choreos, since he recognises beats that I originally wouldn't have noticed. It says so much about not just how he consumes music, but also how he chooses to express it.
YES HYUNJIN IS SIMPLY JUST INCREDIBLE, and i'm so glad you did a reaction on his aotm video eventhough your not so into dancing, but lot of us kinda started our way to loving dancing from watching Hyunjin
I watch this daily and would love to see your reaction to his behind video of him preparing for this because I’ve never seen an artist put in so much effort. He is truly one of a kind
Lol you're not crazy, yes there is a rock band called Motley Crue. Hyunjin gave 200% plus on this. The translations was fire. When it faded out and zoomed in on his hand and it changed gets me every time. I love this one. Hyunjin is so precise and clean with every little detail like the clinking movement with his thumb. ❤️❤️❤️
Hyunjin have a special talent, rare on artists in general. He is a giver. He gives everything to the public. His emotions, his body, his soul and everything he has learned until now
Watching the behind the scenes of this is great too - seeing the work & dedication put into this dance blew my mind & made me appreciate Hyunjin even more!!!
The behind the scenes video of how hard he worked on this is incredible. I already loved him but that video showed his drive to be better and absolutely exhaust himself with the effort, he’s worked so hard to be ‘not just a visual’ and even still people will be like ‘oh the pretty boy raps?’ when they watch videos like Freeze. Like come on, he’s rapped and slayed from day one, give the man respect for the talent as well as being handsome :(
god i love this video so much, this and Hyunjin's dance cover for Play With Fire I literally watch them daily I cant get enough of them. He's so talented
Mötley Crüe was an American heavy metal band back from the 80s so you weren’t crazy. There is a documentary about Hyunjin preparing for the Artist of The Month performance. It’s an interesting watch that shows his thoughts and how hard he worked. Looking forward to see your reaction to Play with Fire.
At this point I’m just here for whatever Teddy reacts to. Excited that SKZ is at the center of it though. This performance is addicting. It literally randomly pops in my head and I have to watch it every time. Hyunjin is so talented and his hard work is literally epic! You should watch the bts of this video. It’s really interesting to see how he thought about the performance.
Thanks for the genuine reaction (& not re-recording it). I’m familiar with the old Mötley Crew rock band, too… The backup dancers in this video are sick but I can’t keep my eyes off Hyunjin! 🤩
Motley Crue was a heavy metal pop band back in, when was it, '80s and 90s? As you realized immediately, this song is by Post Malone. The title really shouldn't read "covered" by Hyunjin, they should say "performed", but oh well. Studio Choom is an online studio dedicated to promoting kpop dance. They have great videographers and help re-choreograph/re-stage the dances specifically for Choom. The Artist of the Month highlights one dancer from a kpop group who performs a solo, it is an honor to be invited. The behind the scenes content for this session is great. His musicality is superb, he hits every beat and embodies the feel of the music as it switches mood and dynamics, and the overall stage shapes and use of back-up dancers is soooo good. In a lot of the AOTM's, the back-up dancers are mostly making pretty pictures in the back, but in this, they interact with Hyunjin so much to make the stage shapes, they are integral to the whole dance. Hyunjin apologized to them repeatedly for having to step on them.
He wasn't, he thought the song was an SKZ cover of a Motley Crue song, when the song is called Motley Crew. (Not gonna lie, I thought the same when I first heard about it.)
There was a pretty famous rock band from the 1980s called Mötley Crüe made up of Nikki Six (bass), Tommy Lee (drums), Vince Neil (singer), and Mick Mars (guitar). I think they have a new guitarist now. The bands back then were all glammed up and had huge long hairstyles so they were often also known as glam rock or Hair bands (not to be confused with Hyunjin’s “tch, hairband” - sorry couldn’t resist). They’re still around. Probably one of their most famous songs is “Dr. Feelgood.”
You can tell the perfect control Hyunjin have of his body over the beat like he hits all the beat points (I don't know if I can call it like that) SO WELL AND SO POWERFULL. He is a real great dancer, a passionate one. And we can see/watch the effort he put on this. Perfectly deserved that "Artist of the month" tittle but for me he is the dancer of the year. Btw sorry for my English, I'm just learning (Teddy I need English subtittles again, pleasee, I'm not good at listening yet :( )
As an old meatal head it's hilarious how unsure you are about mötley crüe. Yes, they are an old metal band, glam metal to be more precise, formed in 1981 and huge, like huge huge 😂 Also, yes this performance is incredible, he is very very talented
Motley Crue was a heavy metal band. In the 80s, in America, literally no reason you'd be familiar with them. To be fair, if you'd asked the members who Motley Crue were in the 80s they might have guessed a biker club too. And speaking as a dancer, yes a large percentage of dancing is hitting the beat right.
I don't think you haven't reacted to this dance song before....I thought you had reacted I swear...and it has a billie eillish theme...and another play with fire, all songs that hyunjin danced that are crazy beautiful
You definitely should watch his dance cover of Play with fire. It's great. He also did one for Billie Eilish's When the party's over. Here's the link: (I apologisein advance if the link doesn't work.) ua-cam.com/video/bY_TqcsMyHM/v-deo.html On another note, if you're looking for some vocals from him, He did a cover of Psycho by Red Velvet. So yeah, check them out, or don't. Take your time. It's great seeing your reactions.
TEDDY!!!! You must watch the UA-cam video "Produce music with 3racha (a beautiful mess)" ! You would love it! I was baffled by how they could write rap in just few minutes!!
Dude.. that wasn't an idiot moment. I was caught off guard when this released also thinking they covered the 80s band by the title. I even had the thought of "wonder which song?" when I clicked and looking back on it, that should have been a hint for me that it's the song not the band. Bet there were others that initially thought the band and not Post Malone, too.
You're not wrong about dancing. If you have good rhythm, then all it is after than to dance is to train your body to move to it. And that's just practice. 😁 Easy work that is hard to do.
You should check out B.I BTBT Performance video and keep me up. Both are amazing dance pieces. Also wooyoung from ateez did an artist of the month as well. Ateez is awesome if you haven’t checked them out yet. And if you like r&b, kai mmmh, he is from EXO which also has a lot of r&b style songs. But also fun stuff as well. Like love shot and tempo are amazing.
See, I’m a bit older and thought he was covering like a mashup from Mötley Crüe when I first heard he was doing this because I’d never heard Post Malone’s song. I was expecting 80s heavy metal hair band, so I was super shocked. lol
You’re not crazy I swear! I immediately assumed it was the band too when I saw the title (I think the band name might actually be spelled Motley Crü? But I could be wrong)
i beg u to react to han and changbin rap stage at vheartbeat pleasee that was so-🔥🔥 or u can react to performance that straykids did on vheartbeat bcs that was sick bet you'll like it and fyi they perform 3rd eye, side effects, and double knot👍🏻
We absolutely need the play with fire performance reaction
This is a must now!
YESSSSS
I thought Motley Crew was the pinnacle…but then I saw Play With Fire! Somehow, it’s both immaculately beautiful and 100% the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen!😳
YESSSS
Hell yes! Teddy's gonna lose his mind!

You couldn't say it more cleary and perfectly than this. This is exactly what I think when I watch him dancing!!
Every right pressure on the points during the dance is also very important so that the dance looks perfect or flawless, I found out when I watched Blackpink's Lisa become a dance mentor for trainees
Thank you for this reaction ! Can’t wait for Play with Fire (that Hyunjin choreographed) Also you thanked the dancers by their last name ^^
Yes and that one he does dance on his own. And it's out of this world fantastic. Not that this one wasn't great but still...yeah... can't wait for a reaction to Play with Fire

Motley Crew is also an 80's American Rock band. They had some good songs.
Yes! I love their song 'home sweet home' ft. Chester Bennington
@@Tara_Smith_98 omg Yes! RIP Chester.💜
Motley Crue 😊. They do hv some good songs. Love Vince Neil voice too
god i love this video so much, this and Hyunjin's dance cover for Play With Fire I literally watch them daily I cant get enough of them. He's so talented
У Хенджина есть свой особый стиль подачи танца. Он движениями головы, плеч, рук, и даже глаз рассказывает нам историю . Это так классно! 👍👍👍
Mötley Crüe was an American heavy metal band back from the 80s so you weren’t crazy.

He adds a new word to dancing EYEography -- his eyes are such much a part of his dancing and makes it so intriguing. Fabulous dancing.

Mötley Crüe is a Glam-Metal- Band. So you where right!
He wasn't, he thought the song was an SKZ cover of a Motley Crue song, when the song is called Motley Crew.
(Not gonna lie, I thought the same when I first heard about it.)
