Hollywood & the Freeway 1975-1980

During the construction of the 2 and 210 freeways in Montrose, La Crescenta, La Canada Flintridge, Tujunga, Shadow Hills and Sylmar, many Hollywood studios took advantage of the completed yet unopened roadways to film. Most notably was NBC which shot a made for TV movie called Smash Up on Interstate 5 in 1975. Its success led them to green light CHiPs the following year. But many other shows were also film in the area during this period.
