I know this is an old project and all, but i really love it dude. this is by far my favorite neutral route fight in the game (and second favorite overall next to Asriel) I think you do an amazing job capturing the emotions of the fight and it's a shame it's not as present online as some other notable bosses
Nobody does(finished) asgore fights! Good work, keep it up! Asgore is overshadowed but with all the buildup suggesting it’s the end for you or your morals, it’s honestly my favorite part of the game.

Unfortunately I have no skills in drawing or anything close... but the best I can give is a feedback, and this is amazing, the attacks are canon, his actions and voice lines, what he sees and may feel, it's gonna be an amazing video
I really like what you've got going so far, and I hope to see you finish it. This has a lot of potential. That said, you were right when you said this was a huge project, so good luck, and pace yourself. As for notes, I don't know beans about animation, but I know a bit about mixing. I think some reverb would go a long way in giving the voices and sound effects a sense of place and warmth, especially for a deep boomy voice like Asgore's. I don't know what software you're using, but I'd mess around with some presets using a major line of dialogue in each of the "locations" (throne room, barrier, hallway) and find a mix you like for each place. Then, to give a consistent soundscape, you can apply that mix to all the sound effects and dialogue in that "location" and tweak anything that sounds off. A little delay might work well at the barrier too, but be careful. It's really easy to overdo it with delay. That's all I got. hope it helps.
Oh man thank you so much for that, I actually thought about adding reverb at the Barrier and the aftermath scene but I thought it to be a litle too much for just an animatic but it's a great idea to apply it dynamically throughout all the rooms. I'll try that soon enough. I'm still working on this and the first minute already looks much better than in the video, but there's still a long way to go.

I’m so late to this but I’m back in my biannual Undertale hyper focus mode. And my god, the way you represented Asgore seeing frisk eating the Butterscotch pie is INCREDIBLE. That was so emotional and the transition is incredible. This is exactly what Toby meant to convey.

Whew! It's hard, slow, and painful; but I'm doing progress! I'm still in the process of making the actual basic animation, and I already did the first minute of the fight itself (lot of other stuff to do but I'm still going!) I still haven't included stuff like face expressions, particle effects, backgrounds or some extra details, and it's funny but I think I'm gonna have to modify the music track to suit the animation because there's too much stuff I want to put in there haha. As soon as I'm done with that I'll probably also start looking for someone to help me voice Frisk. Astores fight (and asgore in general) is so so so underrated and often overshadowed by sans' so I adore when people put so much time and effort into asgore animations I especially loved the fight scene, with asgore trying to kill frisk quickly so they wont feel a thing but also being hesitant in the process just brilliant Keep it up :)
Hey there! thank you so much for the kind words! I also think the fandom doesn't give enough credit to some of it's characters and put too much on the spotlight to others. This is mostly a recreation of my own interpretation of the game so I hope people are okay with it.

The way he looked when he turned an saw frisk I laughed so hard I fell down the stairs and my iPad landed on my face also I cracked my finger my fu one my favorite finger and still laughed!
This looks like it could be really special if you can bring it to completion. The only advice I can give you is to make Frisk's reaction to Asgore's murder really stand out. Up to that point, Frisk has been able to get through their adventure without seeing anyone die. The closest we see (assuming Frisk hasn't had to use a reload to undo an accidental killing) is Mettatron's batteries running down, but Alphys is able to intervene in that instance. Watching Asgore get suddenly and irretrievably murdered by flowey is a unique event. I feel it should have a unique reaction from the normally stoic Frisk. Putting that one piece of advice to one side, this will be extremely well received by the fandom if comments and reactions to other videos are anything to go by. I wish you the very best.
A little bit, I'm quite busy right now so I can't dedicate too much time to this project at the moment, but hopefully when It does come out, it'll be great :D

This looks like it could be really special if you can bring it to completion. The only advice I can give you is to make Frisk's reaction to Asgore's murder really stand out. Up to that point, Frisk has been able to get through their adventure without seeing anyone die. The closest we see (assuming Frisk hasn't had to use a reload to undo an accidental killing) is Mettatron's batteries running down, but Alphys is able to intervene in that instance. Watching Asgore get suddenly and irretrievably murdered by flowey is a unique event. I feel it should have a unique reaction from the normally stoic Frisk. Putting that one piece of advice to one side, this will be extremely well received by the fandom if comments and reactions to other videos are anything to go by. I wish you the very best.
