Of the homes here, the Lookout is my favorite too but, Kerry, my favorite pre-fab home is still the Lloyoll Skali home. The rusted cor-ten steel siding is bitchin'. The interiors are huge and there's a real kitchen for those of us who like to cook. There is not an ounce of paint anywhere too. No upkeep. No repainting and no ruining floors and furniture. The wood burning fireplace is the clincher. I know you like the Lloyoll home but I don't think it's your favorite. Money no object, what is your favorite pre-fab home and why? ... oh, one more thing, what's your favorite hair gel?
Excellent design! It's always the height that makes these spaces so much more comfortable and livable and these knock it out of the park! Thanks, Kerry!
To me, a small footprint home means I can save money buying a small property lot. And if I need more bedrooms I can just go vertical. So in my opinion small footprint prefab homes is what works for my situation. I’m sure I’m not alone. Lol. As great as these models looks on the outside, IMO it looks even better on the inside. Killer kitchen designs and the rustic feel each model has. Lots to love about this company. Great video. Keep kicking ass Kerry. 😎
Very nice but note this pricing base look is for RV standard modules and goes on land certified for RV park model. Modular pricing is much higher and transport pricing is 6-8 dollars a mile right now. Sadly beautiful but over 200K for the Wedge without even taking account of land prep and utilities.
These look great and I’m with you, I love all the windows on the last one for natural lighting. I like how open it looks as well with the kitchen set that way. Awesome video Kerry!
Looks like something that a lot of people could be very happy with but not me. I prefer the other recent ones shown in your vids. Especially the one that opens up and has a sunken tub. 😆. I appreciate seeing these though. The price is good and one never knows if they might change their mind when the time comes they have the funds and are ready to buy...so I am saving your vids for that reason. Also FYI , i am NOT afraid of wild animals breaking in...lol...Wherever i would live that would not be likely; at least not likely to be where they would be willing to come THAT CLOSE AND ENTER my home, even if on land pretty rural and surrounded by nature. Added to that i would keep handy some kind of protective device and a plan on what to do, just as another safety feature rather than live in fear or risk harm if the UNLIKELY actually DOES happen.
Throw in some snacks and a Movie for Kerry and I would consider this as an option. ? hopefully 2023 Becomes moreso affordable as Agree a bit pricey ? Good Work! Enjoy The Show🎉!!!
I really like the designs. I like all the windows. My hangup is the steel studs. They are like antenna that attract radio frequencies and for some people, like me, that will not work. I am very sensitive to EMF's. They make me get very sick.
I always enjoy your videos, Kerry. Always keeping us up to date. While I can see why some would find these appealing I've determined they're not for me. Too long, too narrow. Reminds me of shotgun-style homes. Lately, I've found myself enthralled with cottage-style homes. I guess I just want it all. Lol 😊 just on a smaller scale.
Yeah, I agree. I just don't think it is the best that could be. I would love to go to a convention and walk through 200 models, compare and contrast and by that system pick out the best that I could find.
It would be nice if they built and extended version to create a 2&1 with the second bedroom the same size as the primary bedroom, also a glass & steel swing open door is preferred, Kerry what type of building technique does Wheelhouse use? Steel framing, with wood or composite walls? A 2&1 should be a standard model for them at 700-800 sqft!
@@richardavery2244 Richard, this is what I mean. There is only so much you can get out of these videos. It is more like an introduction to point you in that direction. We need somewhere we can go to see these prefabs.
Wildlife comment....Deer will often jump through windows. So, being out in the woods could be what someone was concerned about. And, birds occasionally hit windows too with less damage. Love the look of these and being in business so long, they should knock their price down a bit to expand their market.
One day I kept hearing a random thudding sound. Turns out a bird was trying to pick a fight with its own reflection in my laundry room window. I had to put a piece of cardboard up to get it to stop. 😂
@@rtgbhreth there is a small bird that returns to a group of trees in our yard every year. The little guy spends hours thudding against our living room window. Has been doing it for 3 years now. The new dog is fascinated by him now.
Like many of these homes, it likely ends up being more expensive than buying a house with land when you add the cost of land, transport, utilities brought to your land, etc
These don't seem to be as expensive as many others Kerry has featured. Would be cool if we could have side-by-side comparisons. If Kerry really loved us he'd make that happen.
Love the design, the caboose, and especially the Lookout's high and wide glass room, but I think they've made a mistake to size the width at 10 ft, instead of at least 12', or a roomier 14'. At their price point, one doesn't want to walk sideways down the hallway, or feel squeezed, width-wise. Especially with all that investment in windows, a little more width would relax the size to a better sense of expansiveness that would make one not regret the lightening of one's savings account, to purchase this high end, small sized unit.
Unfortunately, Kerry, having wildlife get in is a major concern. Also, we live in the middle of nowhere so too many windows (we perceive) is a safety issue.
Hi Kerry, I have asked previously. I need some help choosing a prefab model for an STR community in Atlantic Canada. What do you recommend for a modern look around the $100-130k mark? Thanks.
Hi Kerry, that is exactly where I went back to, lol. Great minds think alike? I remembered the home show. I wish I could go this weekend. There are limited photos on their website. I have contacted them to see if I can get more pics and info. Thanks, Ann
In my opinion, it is crazy to shell out big bucks without personally seeing what you are buying. Why does Kerry not inform us of the upcoming modular convention on March 29 to April 1st in Las Vegas where I believe we can see some of these homes he has described. He can go on and on and on showing different pre fab homes. I, for one, am not going to shell out $50,000 to $300,000 without seeing them first. Therefore, to make any of these videos worth anything, he needs to give us information where we can go and actually see them like a convention. And to begin with, I think we would all like to know about that upcoming convention in two weeks in Las Vegas. Do they have any of the models in Kerry's videos which I am certain they do like the castida boxable one and if it is worth going to.
Yea nice but too pricy, Gotta buy the land and prep it. After all it's only 400-500 sq ft. Id rather find a smaller traditional house by the lake if I'm gonna shell out a total of 150k-200k.
I'd love to install a prefab home but they're always so expensive compared to regular construction. The cost difference is enough that it's simply not justifiable. I wonder who their customers are.
I really like this company. I wish they would offer "add-ons". So, if I bought my WEDGE and my life changed (married, kids, etc.), I could just order another component: bedroom, or even a side-by-side to increase the sizes of the LR, DR, BRs. That would really make for a lifetime investment and prevent having to look for a larger home in the future. Really enjoy your videos!
Did anyone ever hear about that early 1900's concept by Henry Ford called assembly line production? I thought prefab was supposed to be innovative yet affordable, my mistake!
Man I gotta learn to stop watching these and expecting a reasonable price lol. Its always double what a traditional manufactured homes costs. I wish people would stop getting ripped off, its making everything extra pricey. It used to be a car at mspr was a bad deal (cuz youd get under msrp) now its 10k+ msrp lol...
the marketing of most phones is terrible; there are only 3 questions i have; 1. price, 2, area or sq ft, 3. look (hopefully not a container); all the other stuff is not to the point. and when you visit the websites, price is always the big secret.
Lol, yes. “Wildlife getting in” is a serious concern. We can’t control the idiots that feed wildlife in our rural communities and “train them” to go after human food. That said, bears have broken into homes several times throughout the years in my community. They have destroyed thousands of dollars of property and they don’t stop with just homes. As they have shown, They are not prejudice against vehicles either.
@@KerryTarnow Hey Kerry, are you interested in homes that are built at a facility and then taken apart, shipped and built again? Just wondering if that is on your radar.
