Madden 07 relocation was better. You could design the stadium, design the jerseys, type in any nickname, what do they do with the money they make each year? Every game has minimal updates from what we had with madden 20. We had a house in madden 07 that upgraded with each contract in face of the franchise. And you didn’t have to retire bc no team had the cap space to sign you bc why not.
they should add every defunct nfl franchise in the game as relocation options. also say if you chose basic sphere stadium as the Oilers, it should be called the astrodome

Haven't played a Madden game in like nine years it used to let you in Franchise mode redesign your team uniforms. Remade the Colts used the same Jersey design made the pants, Horseshoe, shoulder stripes , number trim & name Gray then Blue was Jersey Helmet and numbers ,Sleeves on the white uniform
They should have a relocation contest where people can submit their team names and uniform concepts and the best 4 or however many will be featured in the game. Great marketing and community engagement
be dope..but in 2k its bugs that come with it. 2. they wont say teams names during game 3. all 2k presentations and cut scenes dont show before game, it goes straight to gameplay

One thing that they could do that would be pretty cool(and easy for them to do) would be to give us the old NFL Europe teams as relocation options. Like they did with the monarchs In London.
We're nearing close to 10 years of the same tired options for Franchise relocation with the only exceptions being Oakland swapped out for Los Angeles cause they got two real teams now. This is beyond unacceptable to say that a game this company made in 2006 is running shapes there aren't even names for around a game in 2022 on far better technology. It's inexcusable and sadly, as long as the Ultimate Team folks keep pumping money into this on the regular, they really have no reason to appease the disenfranchised Franchise fans.

That's what brought me to madden making your own teams, we had more freedom in the old games choosing any color and choosing pre-made stickers for logos.

Buddy and I have been playing franchise for 15 years now. The peak was before they took away create a team. Our favorite thing was being able to create a team and make them a cupcake then race to see who could win a superbowl first. All the creativity has been gone from these games for years.
They need to do relocation as they do in NHL games. Choose your own colors and over 100 cities with the new city and team name being recognized by the announcers/commentators. This is how it is in NHL 21 and I really enjoy it! It would totally freshen up the Madden games!
I have been playing Madden since the beginning. Franchise and relocation used to be OUTSTANDING. Now the pay to play aspect definitely gets the most attention. Yes, EA has made some changes to scouting and now made free agency more realistic. But the same old cities and uniforms are BORING. I remember being able to go to Anchorage Alaska.
We need to be able to add teams. Relocation is nice but expansion teams is damn near a must for franchise. I havent looked at relocation in about 5 years, so in forgot what the teams were. Also I think its crazy they basically trash their own designs by giving them low fan interest.
At this point, I want expansion in the game. Let me create my own logo/team/color and let me get an expansion team going. If 2K can have it, why can’t Madden?

My entire childhood was living off of create a team, game mode hasn't been in in FIFTEEN YEARS!!! Also the last time Relocation had an overhaul was Madden 16, the 2ND YEAR after adding Relocation. It's disgusting honestly

Should just have a set number of jersey templates and let you design a home, away and alternate. Even if cities and logos/mascots stay the same thats fine but at least let us get creative with our designs… something like the EASHL in NHL, tons of customization for your unis… makes it fun. Could redisign between seasons… anything…
The fact that you can't even have alternate uniforms is a shame. I rather just play Madden 08 on PS2 again. Madden isn't looking to bring back features we want most, so it's kind of a waste to keep spending my money.

For a team called Red Dragons....more Grey than red in the uniforms. Also, way too many repeated designs just with color swaps on all the teams. They need to dump this and completely redo the relocation portion to let us do what we want.

I first heard about it in madden 20 franchise when the Chargers kept turning into the Sentinels. Always thought if any teams relocated the cities that should get a team are Portland, and St. Louis (I know the Rams were there for awhile). I think the chargers should go to Portland cause the Rams are the more prominent LA team and LA don’t really need 2 teams especially with the 49ers in the same state. St. Louis could get the Texans and rename them since Texas already has the Cowboys and the Chiefs did the same thing starting in Texas before going to KC.
You should be able to create teams from scratch pick your own team names and team colors and team uniforms and also edit current NFL teams names and colors.

2k just added different authentic eras to thier franchise mode. 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. It looks incredible with insane detail to make it authentic for each Era. Madden can't even give us fucking new relocation teams or create a team. Unbelievable.
The worst part is that they can keep a lot of these names and logos just update the jerseys and I'd be happy but clearly it's too much to expect from EA at this point :(

After Madden 21 came out and got blasted online, EA put out a forum saying how they were planning to add all these new things into Franchise Mode in the future, one of them being new relocation teams for Madden 23, did EA just completely forget that promise?
They use to have the NFL Europe teams in the older Maddens, so just get an intern to spruse up the uniforms and add the team names and locations from it (Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Scotland, England). Heck they probably have the stadium licenses from FIFA anyway as well. Surely the NFL would be for that with their constant expansion and playing more and more games over here in Europe. I'm getting fed up being the London based team every year, I'd like to be the Claymores or at least rotate around Europe, rather than jumping back and forth across the Irish sea.

Honestly they don’t even have to add any new files to the game and they could still make the player happier by letting you choose any of the teams already created for any city and then skip the uniform selection and give us options from all 3 uniforms to mix and match as we please. It’s already in the game, just give us options.
You know what I don't understand, how in the older Madden games you got to literally create a team. Now all of the sudden since like Madden 15/16 you can't even do it. I'm asking for the bare minimum here, like just keep all the cities and just give you the options to edit the team names/jerseys/ or just straight up ADD NEW FUCKING TEAMS. NBA 2K has had their My League remain the same for YEARS, but they've always had the option for you to choose a city and create your own team with custom jerseys, name, and court. My buddy and I have been playing Madden 20 for the past few years, just finished a 20 year fantasy draft franchise together. My team was the Chicago Tigers with those all orange uniforms. We won 10 Super Bowls and 15 AFC championships, my friend was the Elks, he won 2 SB and I beat him in at least two that he made. We both just bought Madden 23, can’t wait to start a new Franchise! Quick question (if anyone has made it this far into my comment), do the preseason games stay the same? We would always choose teams that play against each other in the preseason (one afc one nfc) so we would guarantee having a game to play aside from the pro bowl.

They're literally EA. They could easily put the code from NCAA's teambuilder into Madden so we could at least design the jerseys but nope. EA gonna EA. Also, why not put in cities that have pro sports teams but no pro football. Cities like Milwaukee, Montreal or Vancouver.

i play 2k and i love how its done. In MyLeague you can completely make your own team or download one kinda like draft classes on madden.

I use the Aftershocks in my franchise and the jerseys when you are in-game are FIRE. Especially with the yellow helmets and option 3.

How does the nhl series have such a large customization for create a team and then madden- made by the same company- has the same thing for like 6 years

Create a franchise would be amazing to have back.
Honestly they don’t even have to add any new files to the game and they could still make the player happier by letting you choose any of the teams already created for any city and then skip the uniform selection and give us options from all 3 uniforms to mix and match as we please. It’s already in the game, just give us options.
LOL haven't bought madden since 2019. Currently only play Madden 05. I'm 34 and there hasn't been a better madden since.
You know what I don't understand, how in the older Madden games you got to literally create a team. Now all of the sudden since like Madden 15/16 you can't even do it. I'm asking for the bare minimum here, like just keep all the cities and just give you the options to edit the team names/jerseys/ or just straight up ADD NEW FUCKING TEAMS. I don't want to hear no excuse. NBA 2K has had their My League remain the same for YEARS, but they've always had the option for you to choose a city and create your own team with custom jerseys, name, and court. Like this is pitiful EA. Throw us a damn bone, like we're not being unreasonable with asking for new relocation teams.
I want being able to create a team and then just add in more cities can't be that hard. Having the option for team in dusseldorf Rome Tokyo etc.

They deadass don’t even have to put any work into it gd… just let the community share files and then there will be hundreds of amazing looking uniforms

I dont know if anyone put this down, but a fun fact is that the London Monarchs used to be a real team. They played in the NFL Europe
If a team relocated does that former city become available? Like if the Falcons were to move does the city of Atlanta become a relocation option?
It works for torning the Texans to the Oilers but that must be because Houston is already an available pick
My buddy and I have been playing Madden 20 for the past few years, just finished a 20 year fantasy draft franchise together. My team was the Chicago Tigers with those all orange uniforms. We won 10 Super Bowls and 15 AFC championships, my friend was the Elks, he won 2 SB and I beat him in at least two that he made.
We both just bought Madden 23, can’t wait to start a new Franchise! Quick question (if anyone has made it this far into my comment), do the preseason games stay the same? We would always choose teams that play against each other in the preseason (one afc one nfc) so we would guarantee having a game to play aside from the pro bowl.

This is why I play old Madden if I play any at all. The relos in newer Maddens are crap.

They're literally EA. They could easily put the code from NCAA's teambuilder into Madden so we could at least design the jerseys but nope. EA gonna EA. Also, why not put in cities that have pro sports teams but no pro football. Cities like Milwaukee, Montreal or Vancouver.
